    Hi Ben. I been following your 6f35 removal and teardown/reman videos. I'm doing this at my house. 😢, can't afford mechanic, or a rebuilt one. I have it pulled from my car thanks to you. I have it taken apart on my table in my family room.
    This has been months in the making. I did what you said, bought a torque converter, front pump, center support. I bought a master rebuild kit, a whole new valve body and solenoid. So far things are going smoothly. No Deb-Riss. 😅

After running for 2 or 3 minutes, the Ford 80’s & 90’s classic power steering noise starts. And no F&R (unless you leave it in gear, it MAY jump in and out). Thinking about replacing the pump and converter, and filter and see what happens? Sister’s car, money is an object for her. Thoughts appreciated sir.

    Awesome video thanks for posting. It helped me a lot in reassembling my transmission even though I apparently missed something. After getting it back in the car (2017 Escape 1.5) it had no reverse and wouldn’t shift out of first. I also got the kit on eBay and it seemed to look ok aside from a missing oring or 2 which I was able to source. After taking it back apart again I don’t really see anything wrong. I measured the steels that came with the eBay kit and they all are about 2 thousandths thinner than the original steels. Do you think this could cause a problem? Would you have any other suggestions as to what to look at or what could cause this symptom? I really appreciate any help you can offer

    • @BigBensCarsAndCycles
      @BigBensCarsAndCycles  Před 3 měsíci

      Glad the video helped. If the new clutches were dry when measured, that explains it. the fluid will soak in and make them a little thicker.
      If you're sure it goes in first (and not limp - 3rd) Then I'd start with checking the direct clutch components and intermediate clutch

      @@BigBensCarsAndCyclesI had just measured the steels by themselves should I have measured the steels and frictions all together? The kit didn’t come with any molded pistons or center support. If they look good visually would it be a stretch to think they are ok? Hello.
    I work on vehicles at home in my garage. I came across this 6F35 transmission for a front wheel drive 1.6 Turbo 2013 Ford Escape. The code I got was P0732, gear 2 incorrect ratio.
    My head went straight to the torque converter, front pump & filter.
    I do hear a whining noise only while the vehicle is on drive within the first 10 to 20 mph range, I'd say. The vehicle drives perfectly fine at higher speeds and in reverse. There's no issues. The only issue is initially taking off with no power until the transmission catches and starts moving again.
    Before I put this transmission in, do you have any recommendations? Do you think I should do everything you did in this video? I'm hoping the issue is only the converter, front pump & filter.

Who would spend that much on a 2010 Ford Fushion? Time to buy another used car! It’s a sorry trans built by Ford, that only lasted 150,000 miles. And the car was driven very easily. More people are buying foreign cars because they seem to be built better. What a major time consuming and costly transmission this is to rebuild.
