    Why isn't this more commonly known about? I was literally about to spend hours removing the fenders, trim pieces and lights to tuck my harness', and all I need to do is take out the liners and drill holes.... you are a life saver!

      I was going to do the same, but I looked under there and figured I had enough room to make it work. Not sure why everyone does it the complicated way. Good luck!

      Just finished doing both harness’ about 15 minutes ago, still a ball ache because of all the bolts that hold on the arch liner, but I saved so much time avoiding the fenders because of you 😂 thanks again mate

      Yeah you have to tuck both of them, way easier to not take off the fender haha 👍

      @@dylankeepers2064 how was this butchered?? Seems like you're just butt hurt you took your fender off and didn't do it this way. Not saying that way isnt a good route!! I rerouted mine through the engine bay on my sc300 and I'll probably do it this way on my ls400.. There is no harm to the wires or anything wrong with this way that I can see. Unless you're seeing otherwise?

    Always see vids on the wire harness but nobody ever says anything about the thick layer of metal that can potentially cut into the tire lol. I’m tryna find an alternative other than using a grinder and shaving it down

    • @areitu
      @areitu Před 8 měsíci +1

      You can get rubber edging to slip onto the sharp edges. Another way to do it is to cut a slit lengthwise down a small rubber hose and slip that on

    • @DavyJoneZ464
      @DavyJoneZ464 Před 8 měsíci

      I ended up grinding it down and smoothing it out @@areitu

  • @littlebr4d
    @littlebr4d Před 2 lety +1

    I don't see how this is much different than the 'right way' besides the fact that you're drilling into the frame, which exposes some bare metal and will rust over time.
    If I go this route, I'll probably hit those holes with a few coats of rust preventative paint... but other than that it looks like a perfectly acceptable way to go.
