      @@ratchetss Not really, because bc's ride height are adjusted via a bottom mount, the travel of the actual damper is not affected, so in theory the compression would be the same.
      Here is the ride height adjustment info from the BR series on bc's website: "Ride height adjustment
      Ride height is determined by the position of the coilover bottom mount. The mount can be wound up and down the damper body to give a full range of adjustment.
      Because ride height is determined by an adjustable bottom mount rather than spring platform you retain full damper travel regardless of the ride height run."

      Right height is controlled by spring position. Bump/droop ratio is controlled by the shock body mount and bump stop is controlled by using different length bump stops on the shock shafts.

    12:50 A little tip. In order to easily free a ball joint, you're trying to release the 'taper' not the thread. Use two hammers to create a dead blow, a ball pein and a lump hammer. Ball pein hammer on arm, hit that with the lump, two or three good smacks & she'll drop free. Mechanic 20+ years. 👍

    Such good timing, my BC BR's got delivered yesterday and I'll be installing on weekend, my first set of coilovers so this couldn't be a more perfect video.

      @@ratchetss man I'm glad someone knows what they are talking about! Thank you for teaching people, I have pretty much given up teaching this because of videos like this.

      How are they? Did you get extreme lows or the regular?

    • @goosesgarage6666
      @goosesgarage6666 Před rokem

      @@tappinn I just got the regular ones and they have been great, I have done a few track days and a heap of street driving and they can be tuned to suit both. The front can be dropped until it's too low to drive almost and the rear at its lowest is perfect for how I use it, sits good without scrubbing. I run an 18x9.5 +22 wheel so any lower and scrubbing would be a problem. I can recommend them for sure.

    Favorite part is the mud spary you left on the front fender through the whole install.

    This video is so awesome! And you know that means something coming from an owner of an E36 with a pooched window regulator who’s still pricing out coilovers! I need them to go with the 2JZ swap…
