      Imho.
      This idiot Bee Gee was acting exactly how I imagine Couzens acted to that poor girl who was raped and murdered.
      (Sexist Guideline issued by Met on approaching woman by plain clothed police, surely should have been "the public")
      For this kind of conduct to happen on camera, after lone plain clothes interaction with the public has been shown as abysmally dubious.
      The uniformed inspector went straight into blue line defense mode, whilst still perpetuating the zombie police mode of we don't like people filming our station, people or cars.
      It's legal, stop the paranoid, elitism, your personal car plates are no different to the publics, you all knew prior to joining that police that you could become a target to crimal eliment and are ranked so low to have contact with a growing number of people, and the feelings of people as to your gang mentality, abuse of powers and stasi actions.
      Yes we need police, but not as the self serving, unprofessional, egotistical in a lot of forces corrupt, trying to run the people like a modern day stasi with threats.

    Since the Sarah Everard murder, all plain clothes officers have to provide 3 forms of ID/confirmation that they're plice officers. They've all been advised of this, and unless you're confident that they're an officer after this has been done, you should assume they're not police officers.
    However, this unkempt guy clearly didn't read the memo. He wanders up in his plaid shirt and says 'why are you filming.. i'm a police officer turn that off'...

      @D00M3R_MAVS Před 2 lety

      @@buckin8969 yeah the things they can get away within interrogations are astounding. for one it's called an interrogation, where as here it's an interview. they also keep you in the room for 7-10+ hours, grilling you, and make it out like if you get legal advice it will make you look guilty. It's way worse in the states, that's not even up for debate. If they did the things they do in the States here we'd be able to sue them, and would win.
      Even just the fact they actively dissuade suspects from getting legal advice is criminal here and you would definitely be able to claim compensation for such in the UK.
      That being said, they still lie and cheat to get convictions. If you don't get legal advice they will trick you into grassing yourself up. It happened to me when I was a kid. You just don't speak to them and get a solicitor immediately. The main difference is that we're held in a cell and taken out for an interview (which is often no longer than 20 minutes, if that) but they will use the same underhanded tactics in the interview to gain a conviction.
      Someone that is not experienced should always get legal help, and even if you are you should still get legal help if you think there's a chance you can get away with it, and even more so if you;re actually innocent.
      The only time I would say to avoid getting legal advice if it's for something petty like shoplifting, and they have you bang to rights with video evidence. If you get a solicitor it will just hold things up and you'll be locked up for longer. If you just admit to it you can be back on the streets in under an hour. I have done this personally when I had a drink problem and I used to steal beer every day. If I got caught I'd just admit it so I could get out and try and steal again.
      They don't even arrest shoplifters in the UK now though, unless it's for over 100 pounds worth of goods. They won't even come out to arrest someone unless it's for high ticket items as it actually wastes money based on what to costs to prosecute for such a small crime.
      Also they are trying to avoid sending people to jail because of over crowding. Serial shop lifters used to always do time, and there's loads of them. so they simply stopped arresting them to save money and because of over crowding in jails.
      You can literally go out and steal from shops in the UK now, and as long as you don't steal things over 100 pounds, all that can happen is they take the stuff off you are bar you from the shop.

    What a surprise that the police inspector supported the scruffy plain clothed police officer who didn't identify himself to AB when barking orders at him (and only then identified himself because AB insisted he did contrary to the requirements of a plain clothed police officer in such a situation). The Inspector must have amazing hearing because despite him being inside a police vehicle with the engine running some distance away when the scruffy cop approached AB and spoke to him (and with the surrounding traffic noise) he apparently heard everything the scruffy cop said to AB🤔. The Inspector also concluded that AB had 'sufficient' time to note the name of the scruffy plain clothed officer from his warrant card despite the fact the officer only very briefly showed his card and purposely covered part of it (again this is contrary to the requirement when identifying themselves in plain clothes to a member of the public - their name and rank should be fully visible). Interestingly the Inspector's attitude to AB improved when he realised who he was.
