Mini roundabouts and Parallel Parking | Building Millie’s Confidence On The Roads

- čas přidán 5. 03. 2022
- In todays driving lesson we talked a lot about building up Millie’s confidence in her driving and not to be distracted by other road users.
Even though Millie knows what she’s doing, she sometimes gets s little flustered due to other road users behind her or when there’s traffic at junctions.
We also continued to work on parallel parking and then a variety of mini roundabouts in a busy area.
Thank you all for your continued support

How to drive safely. How to pass
This video is filmed during a driving lesson. It is filmed for educational purposes.
Throughout the video there are highlights to show how you should be driving safely.
I hope this video will be useful! :)

I love how Millie asks questions and really tries to work things out in her head to see what she needs to do or where she's gone wrong.
You are such a lovely instructor and patient
Thank you 😊 💛
No doubt👌♥️🌹
I wish my instructor was like this.
I'm halfway through an expensive block of lessons with someone who never praises, only criticises, yells, repeatedly tells me I'm going to be a dangerous driver even though he encourages me to do dangerous things because of his own impatience like using his phone while both I'm driving and when he's driving.
Also has never checked my eyesight, asked to see my license or gone through the cockpit drill and apparently it's just clutch to move off, no gas because to quote, "That's BS." 🤷♀️
Agreed 💯
@@beeeffel4499 To be honest, complain to the company you're with and change ASAP, no point exposing yourself to such nonsense because when you end up passing your test you will be left with bad habits and destroyed confidence. I had a terrible driving instructor, stayed with him for a whole year and all he would do is just panic, slam the breaks and keep saying I'm not paying attention, need to be quicker, etc etc, basically all the things you would expect from a learner driver in the beginning stages.
The only thing that kept me is he would actually try to conversate with you and keep you happy but anytime he needed to be there as an "instructor" he'd just resort to really bad insults and advice, I would come home so drained after a "lesson" honestly. I had done 2 tests under this Instructor and failed for really stupid reasons, mostly because I was never really exposed to "test conditions" under this guy, once I swapped with a new instructor I passed.
The "just clutch to move off" is a crutch that some of these instructors try to teach you because it's easier to get a learner to learn to release the clutch slowly then to balance the gas, they don't feel like dealing with people over-revving the car. I had an instructor that did this to me and he even went as far as getting angry if we ever had to use gas on steep hill, dude would even tell me I'm too slow at entering roundabouts sometimes... if you never apply gas and only use the clutch, the car will always move off very slowly and in general it is just bad practice, you will always run the risk of stalling the car because the engine is not getting enough power.
Basically, modern car's and particularly diesel's that have more torque will allow you to drive like this because a "computer" is automatically pressing just enough throttle to stop you from stalling, if you swap to an older car from the 90's you will stall almost all the time. Whether you are on a flat road or a hill, it is always apply some gas 1st and then release the clutch to the biting point.
Regarding the part were you said "never praises, only criticises, yells, tells me I'm going to be dangerous" is more than enough proof that this person isn't capable to teach people, there's a lot of these around for some reason, they just don't have the capacity or patience to teach and panic and yell instead. A good instructor will always measure your skill and keep you within your limits, there is no use trying to teach someone something new if they are not ready to handle it yet. You aren't a dangerous driver, just a learner that isn't getting the correct guidance.
Millie has definitely gotten more confident, she seems so sweet and lovely too!
I feel and emphasise so much with Millie. I have had about nine hours driving and like Millie my actual driving is genuinely okay BUT when I come up to roundabouts I break out into a hot sweat and my anxiety peaks! Hopefully with time I will get over my fear 👀 good luck Millie, you can do it ❤️🥰
I like watching Millie’s lessons you are so kind and patient
I like watching Millies driving lessons, she will get there!
I love these videos. Brilliant instructor.
Aw its nice to see millies progression since her first lession! Shes doing great
That was a a nice drive Millie, you need to gain confidence in controlling the car, especially in the really tight bits where there isn't much "rev room". Well done driving over that bridge, I'd be a nervous wreck on that! Well done, looking forward to your next video.
Seeing people improve is just so soothing
Hi Millie, your doing amazing. I hope you got in ok with your theory test. Hopefully in your next lesson we’ll find out. The theory test questions are said completely different to the app, what I found useful was to flag any questions I was unsure of even if I felt just a little niggle, then read the questions I flagged a few times before answering them. Just to say also to Clearway driving, your a amazing instructor! Thank you for sharing your lessons to help others. You come across so caring to your learners, they are lucky to have you.
Thank you for watching :)
Best to flag questions and go over them at the end
Love video
Good video keep it up
Good lesson 👌
I’m so happy 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳i passed my driving test last week really helpful videos thanks dear xxx
Well done!! Glad the videos have been useful 😊
Watched this live on Tik Tok yesterday
Quick new give way to pedestrian question - does it apply when turning into a junction with a pedestrian waiting or just when emerging out of one like the example in this video? So far I’ve been turning in bc I don’t wanna get rear ended by stopping 😂
Glad to see Millie smash that parallel park, needs to do it at least ten times so the steering comes natural due to reversing.
Millie is definitely doing really well with her driving and parking. Hopefully she'll pass her test first time. Her control of the car is really good, just needs more confidence in herself to able to pick it up more easily, but otherwise she's doing really well indeed.
Love watching you're lives on tiktok!
Hey Aman, been loving your content lately. I've noticed you've started teaching reversing with Millie quite early on since she first started learning with you. I've done 34 hours worth of driving plus some with my dad, but it was only a couple of weeks ago that my instructor started doing reversing exercises with me. So far I've done some reverse bay parking, and last week we briefly looked at the "reversing 2 car lengths exercise" and in my previous lesson we didn't do any form of reversing. My driving test is just under 3 months away so there's still time and obviously every instructor is different, but do you think this is something to be worried about, and are you surprised that he hasn't started teaching me this stuff earlier? Would love to hear your thoughts.
Luke
Hey yes everyone does learn at a different rate, it may be that your instructor's not worried about your clutch control when to comes to reversing so they are focusing on the main driving aspect. You can just speak to your instructor and ask to do some reversing :0 Hope that helps :) Good luck with your test
Thank you, and thanks for replying to my comment :)
Is 23:04 the new Highway Code we have to follow on the test now?
Hey yes so giveway to pedestrians at junctions. :)
I've been enjoying watching millie from the start, but i have a question, in aberdeen, where i took my test, we had to 2 of either parallel parking, a 3 point turn, or reversing left round a corner. In all the videos of your lessons, I've watched. I've never seen you teach a 3 point turn or reverse left round a corner. Is that not part of the test in london or england?
It's not part of the test anymore, the manoeuvres are: park on the right and reverse 2 car lengths, forward and reverse bay park and parallel park.
Have the rules changed with Pedestrians crossing now, e.g. we have to give way if they are near the crossing. As you mentioned the woman shouldn’t have crossed.
Very confusing this new rule in the Highway Code!
Addendum:
Well done Millie, definitely see her progress since watching her vids from the start!
Hey yes well with that rules there’s still exceptions
For example if it’s a traffic light crossing with a button for pedestrians and a green man icon
Then you would not have to wait as it’s traffic light controlled
It’s more if there’s pedestrians waiting and you can stop safely
Sometimes it may be unsafe, if you’re travelling on a 50mph dual carriageway with a roundabout
It all depends on the traffic conditions wether it would be safe to stop or to continue
Best way to summarise
Giveway to pedestrians at junctions if it’s SAFE
@@ClearviewDriving thank you appreciate your reply, that’s clarified that! 👍
I didn't see the sign, why are they parking on a single Yellow line at the end there? Wouldn't it be better for her not to park on those until she's looked at the sign? I didn't even see the restricted times, they just pulled in. Maybe this lesson was on a Sunday, idk
Can we see and some drive lessons on motobikes
Is it harder to teach family or general public
Definitely harder to teach family 😂😅
Lol yes I can imagine ….you can tell them off and not feel bad 😂
Is it recommended to get driving lessons even after you pass? I passed in another country and recently got my license here, I have driven on the other side of the road so curious on how many I should go for
27:16 is the new rules not meaning that the peds have right of way for that bit?
no because it's just a sharp bend in the road, not a turning on to a new road. the cars coming from straight ahead would have to give way though
Manouveres are so much easier with a reversing camera. Wish my instructors car had them.
yes its great but you want to be able to do it without all these features :)
Is this millies 10th 1 hour lesson or does she do 2 hour lessons? X
Hey we normally do 2 hour lessons
hi
Awww Millie I know how you feel! I struggle a lot with confidence too just because throughout my learning I have seen so many careless drivers and so I became cautious. My instructor keeps telling me I need to be more confident otherwise this might stops me from passing my test :(
Hopefully we will imrpove Millie
Yes you will, keep practicing and don’t worry about the drivers behind
@@ClearviewDriving Thank you!
What's with the random bikes drawed on the tarmac 😅
they’re cycle lanes :)
🤣
Swear millie lives in zebra crossing land gjhghjk
Can the girls wear black. Flats drive with the gas p
Hope u find the error lol
Error 😫 whereee
Since I can't drive a stick, I'd end up with enough minors (and probably a blown clutch) to fail the test.
0:33 not to be that guy but parallel spelling mistake lol
Ahh my bad 😞
Hi i love your video good luck. How can i speak you on your Watsapp please?
