    1:30 "It's not like a normal mount where you just hop on a horse and you're good to go". Technically, that couldn't be further from the truth, even if the magical mounts mentioned here are indeed even more challenging to work with. Training yourself to ride on something like a horse is one thing - training each individual horse to excel at what is nominally a series of unnatural tasks (to them) is another thing entirely, and is a separate process. It takes a long time to build trust with a horse and condition them to be willing to do something like, say, even running over corpses or riding *into* something instead of them following their natural instinct to just avoid collision.
    ... just cherry picking on something that caught my attention. ;)

      Thank you for adding that :) I wa more reffering to the "hollywood idea" of mounts where cowboys just run and hop on, lol. I know that actual mastery of riding any animal is an extremely long process :)

    awesome video and quick question [which talk of the dragons reminded me of], what is Tryion and Teclis doing as light and heavens are fairly aligned realms/themes, and i cant see tyrion standing back from a honorable war effort

      At this moment, we have no idea. They've been hinted at, but we havent seem them really interact with anyone, sadly. But we know they are coming!!! :)

    Do you think the beastmarks on the armor pieces from the Stormcast could mean there will be other war beasts to be used in combat? Birds of prey are already in but the army lacks bears and lions.

    So, something that doesn’t necessarily involve the Extremis Chamber, but does the new Stormcast Battletome have special abilities for each Stormhost? How would you customize abilities for a home-brewed Stormhost?
    Somewhat connected to the Extremis Chamber, I got my Lord-Celestant on Dracoline and currently building and customizing it.
    As far as the video itself, this definitely creates interest in me for a sizable unit of cavalry or heck a whole warband just to see if the tabletop game simulates their lore strategy

    • @stephenhumphreys9149
      @stephenhumphreys9149 Před 6 lety

      Yup, several Stormhosts have their own set of extra abilities, but they are also a little less flexible in other ways. There are 8 different particular stormhosts; each gets one new allegiance ability and one extra command ability. They each also get unique command traits and artefacts, but these traits and artefacts MUST be taken (so your general doesn't get to choose a command trait from the table in the book and the first artefact taken must be the host-specific one). You can also take anyone in your army that has a specific stormhost keyword on their warscroll (all the unique characters are Hammers of Sigmar) and that doesn't change whatever stormhost you choose, but those units won't gain access to the stormhost abilities the rest of your army has (and won't get access to their own host's abilities either).

      Hi Kenzie! Yes there are several (I think 6, but dont hold me to that) stormhosts each with their own rules.

    I have an idea of running Extremis with a few Paladors from the Vanguard to have a White Scars like army with more of a Salamanders look

    Hey Doug! Could you remind me what you said you had learned about Fyreslayers? Blocks of 30 Vulkites aren't necessarily as good anymore, right? And you said there was a new MVP unit, but I don't remember if it was the Hearthguard Berzerkers, the Auric Hearthguard something else entirely. Thanks!

    • @2Tough
      @2Tough  Před 6 lety

      Hey Oscar! I still love vulkites, I was saying that some folks thin they lost their edge because they dont get a points discount for massive regiments anymore. I just finished a block of 30 and Im excited to try them :) The unit I said was becoming more valuable was the Hearthguard Berzerker. Same 4+ mortal wound save but doesn t need a massive unit to get it :)

    I always assumed Star Drakes were the females of the species and Drakkoths were the males (it could be vice versa I suppose). In the way that female ants have wings and greater size than male ants, and are far fewer in number. And since Stormcast Eternals are generally constructed to be a certain rank rather than promoted to one, the lord level Stormcast could have been told "You are mighty, this is your Star Drake, be nice to her." as opposed to being given a Drakkoth which eventually evolves into a Star Drake.

    • @2Tough
