Hilarie was so good as Lucille! I think casting JDM's real-life wife was a great call because their chemistry from real life really spilled over into Negan and Lucille.
The people who gave up on this show just miss the best storyline and best Performance between a husband and a wife ever it gave me chills, man I love The Walking Dead,

I have been longing for this episode for so long. It was amazing. It hit me hard 💔 at first it was odd to see such a soft side of Negan’s character but it shows the humanity of his personality and him reaching a breaking point of the darkest side of his persona. This cherish this episode being a huge fan of Negan. I’m glad it exists. You look gorgeous and hope you’re doing well across the pond ❤️
This is one of the best episodes I think I've ever seen from TWD. I'm a grown ass man and I almost felt like I was going to cry. It was definitely a sad episode. I felt the realness of JDM and his real wife. They were so great together. Great reaction video as always. Thank you

Same. He's one of my favourite characters now but Maggie can't do anything but want him dead. He killed Glenn. He basically killed her Lucille, and if the situation was reversed, Negan wouldn't forgive her. I'm really interested to see how they're going to handle it in the last season because Maggie's not the sort of woman to let this go: She's tried but it stayed with her and I honestly think she won't have true peace until Negan's dead.

Gonna be honest these extra episodes haven't been fantastic viewing but this episode.....AMAZING one of the classic most memorable walking dead episodes ever , negan is the best thing now about the show for me
I think it’s interesting when Negan told the biker leader about the event that cost him his job. How as he was savagely beating the poor bastard how everything he saw in that moment was red. It made me think about when Rick meet Morgan again and Morgan told him about losing his son, Duane and how he had to put him down. I remember what Morgan said, “I see red, I see red, everything I see is red and I do it!” It’s heartbreaking to see good people totally go off the reservation after a devastating loss.
The emotions from both of them was so raw n real bc of them really being husband n wife . It's what made the episode more believable and more realistic ❤❤❤❤❤

Your reactions are my favourite video :') I know TWD doesn't have the most positive reviews in terms of character and storytelling, and I do understand why some people fell off, but I genuinley was and am one of the biggest Glenn fans. I had / have a blog dedicated to him, I would livestream and live blog on tumblr lol, each episode, every week at 2am in the UK starting from the season 3 mid premiere when Daryl and Merle were in the fighting pit in Woodbury. I've met Steven Yeun twice, I first travelled to ATL walker stalker con in october 2016... literally Glenn's death episode aired the week before I was due to travel to ATL for the first time ever, and yet I'm sitting here, after everything, crying over the man who killed him. I'm not saying this to change anyones mind about the show or character but I have to give the writers / team props for making me feel this way after what happened back then because I NEVER thought this would happen. Not EVER. I wholeheartedly love Negan and have enjoyed his scenes the most (aside from Michonne). I NEVER thought I'd say that. But I do. I know a lot is down to JDM himself but there has to be something said to make someone go from vile hatred to sympathy / emptahy / understanding. I can't not applaud them for that. To make me care about the character who killed my favourite from day 1? Insanity.
This episode is my second favorite of this series. My first favorite being the episode with Morgan meeting Eastman and receiving the training and help from him. Jeffrey Dean Morgan has always captivated me as Negan and he does exceptional work in this episode.

This episode was all about closure. I think Negan wants Maggie to kill him. Or at least thats what I thought the smirk was about...to taunt Maggie. This episode could literally stand alone. Katie please hurry as fast as you can and watch FEAR! They released it early and peeps could care less about spoilers! I'm so glad I saw someone post in a chat last night or I totally would have been spoiled by the end of today. I can't wait to talk about it!
Brilliant episode, incredible performances from JDM and Hilarie, you could feel their love as real life husband and wife embued in their roles here. A great origin story for Negan and I can't wait to see how the dynamic plays out between him and Maggie this season and what this will mean for everyone else. I have my own theories on that but can't wait for the first half of Season 11 in August (I'm right on saying it returns then yeah?). Wow what an episode, what a performance, everyone just loves Negan, Say, does anyone remember the time when Negan bashed in Glenn and Abraham's brains in?? Yup, good times huh?, What a great guy
as much as i love norman reedus, daryl wasn't the character to try to hang the show on, it was negan, JDM just holds the screen so much, and this ep shows he can go really deep on Negan. fuckin' ace. Negas and ricks stories are very much alike, the difference is that rick went down the path of "protect no matter what" and negan went down a "vengance no matter what" path.
If they really want a spinoff then Maggie and Negan have a big showdown where she spares his life but tells him she never wants to see his face again and Negan decides to leave the Coalition. The sequel could be him ending up in the Commonwealth and actually being a good fucking guy.
This episode was incredible. Give it all the Emmys.
