Still one of the best episodes and most heart wrenching for me. I started suffering with epilepsy back in 2015 and my first episode caused a seizure and I ended up needing 55 stitches across my cheek and eye/brow. I remember everything even though I wasn’t “here”. I went to the darkest place I’ve ever witnessed or dreamed of. And the only thing I could do was call out to my deceased relatives. This was a Purgatory episode. Because that’s exactly where he ended up right before it was too late. He got a taste of the afterlife and where he could end up and found the strength to keep living instead. Sucks.
I love that Rick's final action saved everyone from two herds. Especially after Eugene had previously told him what a catastrophe it would be if they merged, then Rick (unintentionally) merged them and pretty much single handedly took them all out, selflessly protecting everyone one last time.

All the older actors from Shane to Sasha were all brilliant, but wife and i wept at the Herschel scene as it was our two favorite WD characters back together again, and knowing Scott passed away soon after that was shot made it even sadder. I am curious to see the flash forward and Judith kick ass and be like her Mom Michonne and Dad Rick, as well as all the other changes since they said the jump is 6 years. An yes I hope both the characters Daryl and Maggie are haunted by the "death" of Rick for the role they played until/if(but i hope it is until) Rick comes back on that final wrap up show. This was without a doubt...one of the best episodes and has won me over!! I wanna see where they go from here. Im gonna get flack here but...I would've preferred if Rick died. I get that it was to show the good side of Jadis, I get it's gonna be followed up in some upcoming movies. But that would've been a REALLY good send off to have him die like a badass hero and that conclusion with Judith was phenomenal!! If Rick died...it would've been an even better passing of the torch. Never the less, I am really glad that they are going a different path...with a different focus...and I wanna see more :)

All the older actors from Shane to Sasha were all brilliant, but wife and i wept at the Herschel scene as it was our two favorite WD characters back together again, and knowing Scott passed away soon after that was shot made it even sadder. I am curious to see the flash forward and Judith kick ass and be like her Mom Michonne and Dad Rick, as well as all the other changes since they said the jump is 6 years. An yes I hope both the characters Daryl and Maggie are haunted by the "death" of Rick for the role they played until/if(but i hope it is until) Rick comes back on that final wrap up show. This was without a doubt...one of the best episodes and has won me over!! I wanna see where they go from here.
Im gonna get flack here but...I would've preferred if Rick died. I get that it was to show the good side of Jadis, I get it's gonna be followed up in some upcoming movies. But that would've been a REALLY good send off to have him die like a badass hero and that conclusion with Judith was phenomenal!! If Rick died...it would've been an even better passing of the torch.
Never the less, I am really glad that they are going a different path...with a different focus...and I wanna see more :)
