Mount Dora could very well be the most beautiful, coolest, most charming small town in central Florida.
This video looks at the amazing downtown, the astounding Dora Canal and even checks out the sport of lawn bowling.
Come along and travel the world with Richard Green. Retiring in the spring of 2023, I am embarking on full-time world travel. I'm going solo, but the idea here is not to focus on me so much. It's about the places and the people along the way.
The title Old, Alone and Far From Home might initially come across as a sad state of being. My mission is to show that it's just the opposite.

The Olde Mount Dora Carriage Co., I think. Yeah, there are no horses clip-clopping in front- there’s a driver at the wheel, but these white carriages look traditional otherwise.
Old, alone and far from home--that's exactly what I am. 😄 Wishing I could find paradise to live in somewhere, and a caring person to live with.

Also I haven't posted on the channel yet but since it seems like you're spending some time in Ohio if you haven't checked out yellow springs check out yellow springs and just know that if you go to their festival that's coming up in October. it is extraordinarily crowded. Get there real early for parking.

Went out on my buddies wake boat on lake Dora last summer, got up on the wakeboard and maybe 10 seconds later a gator popped up and i literally had to jump over it, I did not get in the water the rest of the day lol
That would certainly change my thoughts about getting into the water!
are there tiny home locations in central florida?
I have never looked into that, but I would imagine that there are some places that allow them.
