What the Dead Men Say (Same as TS&TS, i guess i prefer the former by the best songs but this one has a lot of great stuff too) 4. Ascendancy (The album that got me into them and also the album that got me into metalcore at a point when it's one of my favorites metal subgenres) 5. In Waves (I'd guess it's nostalgia but this one alongside Ascendancy and Vengeance Falls where the ones i listened to the most when i got into the band, and despite not being as consistent as their other stuff (personal opinion) it's still an amazing album) 6. In the Court of the Dragon (it's coming really high and if i gave it a few more listens it might grow up for me) 7. The Crusade (Same as In Waves, didn't listened as much as the other stuff but the great stuff it's amazing, wish the album would be as good as some of my favorite tracks like Entrance of the Conflagration, Anthem or Becoming the Dragon) 8. Vengeance Falls (Believe it or not this was my favorite album when i got into them, nostalgia apart, kind of shame how overproduced it was but i still have fun memories and come back to it from time to time) 9. Ember to Inferno (so objectively speaking this is arguably the worst one, but there's still some hidden gems in it that i'm nostalgic for, it's a shame it's followed by the wat better Ascendancy) 10. Silence in the Snow (I really tried to get into this one multiple times but every single time i try and listen to it i just forgot what i listen to, even the singles despite being decent are not to the level of Anthem, Built to Fall or Strife)
Deathspell Omega-Abscission The guitar work is pure fantastic. Absolute Black Metal masterpiece. The entire "Paracletus" album by Deathspell Omega is a groundbreaking masterpiece from start to finish. You really need check out this band.

If i could collapse the masses, when all light dies, falling to grey, and to burn the eye are all awesome. The crusade is sick asf too, like entrance of the conflagration, detonation, and ignition are all amazing songs with very catchy choruses.

In Waves is one of my all-time favorite metal albums, and the title track is what got me into switching my metal interest to a more modern heavy direction. Glad to hear that I'm not alone there!
Surprised to see Shogun this low, but in my list is actually even lower XD. My list is probably my most controversial tier list ever, I don't know a single person that would agree but: 10: Ember to inferno 9: The Crusade 8: Shogun 7: Vengeance falls 6: Ascendancy 5: In Waves 4: Silence in the snow 3: The sin and the sentence 2: In the court of the dragon 1: What the dead men say Every album from 5-1 are insane! It's impossible to rank them, Ascendancy is really close to the top, but for me In Waves is just Ascendancy, but better! While for the rest, Vengeance has some cool tracks, but I don't really like the album as a whole, for me it's just couple good songs and some that are kinda skipable, while Shogun... I'm sorry to everyone, but for me it's the most overrated Trivium album ever. It has loads of potential, cool concert, not that great of an execution! The opening track is really disappointing, probably the weakest opener out of all Trivium albums, but the Title track and down from the sky are so good that save the album from the last place. If it gets reworked I would probably like it a lot, but for me is really underwhelming. Now about Tue Crusade, it's this low, because that's just not Trivium's power, cool album, but I'm more used to their usual sound. And Ember is just a decent album, that's all. Nothing too outstanding, but for a album made by teens it's really good! Overall not a single bad album, but there are ines that are better than others
My favourites so far are WTDMS and in waves, i didn't listen to all their albums just yet, but I'm gonna do so very soon, Trivium is such a good band! Love the fact that has so many similarities to the big Nu metal bands, but they are like "nah man, watch and learn THIS is how you are supposed to write a metal song!" Edit: After listening to everything I'm starting to get really confused on why Silence in the snow is so hated! I personally love the album, there is not a single bad song, and not only that, all the songs are absolute masterpieces and I was really sad that this album is this short

It's hard for me to rank them all because I love every single album. But Ascendancy is their best album. I dont even need to make a list. But silence in the snow is a perfect album from cover to cover so if you think that's their worst then that just speaks volumes for Trivium.

So interesting, your list is pretty much identical to mine with one HUGE difference. I'd put In Waves as #1. The rest can stay where it's at. Crazy how much we would agree on, yet wildly disagree on.
Matt is a great frontman though, live especially he knows how to work the crowd better than alot of other frontmen and there live gigs are always great, respect your opinion though but personally I like the vocals, except on the Crusade album and possibly Ember as his word pronunciation while screaming wasn't the best in the old days
They were looking for a singer in their early days as Matt didn't want to do vocals, however the singer of Avenge Sevenfold (could be wrong) was telling Matt he should do them.

Absolutely hate In Waves. I love Trivium and have since I found them on Ascendancy but In Waves nearly ended my interest in them. Terrible album start to finish. My top 10:

So interesting, your list is pretty much identical to mine with one HUGE difference. I'd put In Waves as #1. The rest can stay where it's at. Crazy how much we would agree on, yet wildly disagree on.

Matt is a great frontman though, live especially he knows how to work the crowd better than alot of other frontmen and there live gigs are always great, respect your opinion though but personally I like the vocals, except on the Crusade album and possibly Ember as his word pronunciation while screaming wasn't the best in the old days
They were looking for a singer in their early days as Matt didn't want to do vocals, however the singer of Avenge Sevenfold (could be wrong) was telling Matt he should do them.
