Great discography, really speaks to its strength when In Waves and WTDMS fall in the middle of my ranking. Plus the new album definitely ranks among their best for me. Love that they continue to put out top notch stuff, they’re probably a top 5 favorite band for me.

If they did an entire album inspired by the sound of “shadow of the abbatoir” I would not be upset at all. He got Russell Allen crazy on that one on the outro. Love the intro too. So catchy and the quasi-gothic Transylvanian like vocals that follow is dope. High pitched vocals at the end killed that shit!! Can’t put it above shogun so I agree there. Need more time with it to really tell..!
All in all, top tier trivium album. Also, If “Feast of Fire is not paying homage to Sevendust then I must be crazy. Lajon-like vocals all over that song especially chorus and the riffs sound similar to 7DUST as well. Not complaining at all!!
Also, I love the Gojira-like feel of the drums and initial riff of the intro to the song “Fall Into Your Hands”. Excited to watch your channel grow brother. Keep the good content coming!!

Trivium was my favorite band in high school, I love all their albums, but especially Crusade, it's painful to place it at only number 5. TSATS took a while for me to get into. I'm surprised people tend to prefer TSATS to WTDMS, they're both solid, but Dead Men has more standout tracks. In Waves is a mixed bag, 5 tracks are really strong, but the rest are more mediocre.

Yeah I think people hate it just because David Draiman produced it and there's a slight input from that, personally I think it's underrated, I would say it lacks abit of consistency, it has great songs but then it has afew good songs that don't quite measure up to the rest of the album

With the new album, Trivium is musically at its best. Drum work is on a completely different level than what previous drummers have played. Heafy’s vocals are the most compelling and the whole record is full of great guitar riffs. Paolo's bass work is also really great on this record! Many consider Shogun to be Trivium’s best album and it’s just ok for me, but I can’t catch what Shogun has better than the new album. Someone could tell me their own opinion on this. :)

I am sorry I am a huge trivium fan but shogun is definitely not their best album. Truthfully I don't really care for that album I agree with almost everything else. Shogun really isn't that great of an album...I put every album from vengeance falls and prior ahead of shogun. I only like just a select few songs from shogun and even those ones aren't nearly as good as most tracks from all of the other albums. I know shogun is a well received trivium album that a lot of people tend to like but I'm sorry it's not really for me...
