      As far as function, it doesn't really provide any benefits. If anything, it might be best not go with this specific brand (LF)... They get really horrible reviews when it comes to their QC. I can however recommend FDEZ werks.

    I've changed my P365XL by quite a bit too. 1st was a Holosun 507K red dot, then a Magguts spring & follower, then a Wilson Combat grip module, then a 4.2" True Precision barrel (without the peep-hole) because I like the power of a 4" barrel, then 2 trips back to Sig for dead trigger issues, then finally a Tactical trigger kit which although was a little challenging to put it, at least to me was well worth the admission fee of around $105.00 Less trigger take-up, and a much quicker rolling trigger break. I think this was the best upgrade of all! All in all with all the changes I've made I figure I have around $1,340 into the pistol, but if I would have to do it all over again, I would do everything all over again. Just wish it would go more than just a couple of thousand rounds before needing to be sent back to Sig. I shoot this at IDPA & ASI events and do pretty good with it. It is accurate and reliable (at least for a couple of thousand rounds). I carry this P365XL IWB at 3:30 in a Clinger 2-clip Holster with comfort pad and I hardly know it's there. Any grip length that's longer & it starts to noticeably print. I have walked the trails in Glacier & Yellowstone National Parks and it hides quite well, even with just a regular shirt for cover with 147 gr. hard cast rounds & a can of Bear spray. I believe it was a Grizzly bear that was killed with the 147 gr. hard cast through a 4" barrel pistol. I would have liked to carry my 4" ported PC Shield Plus, but it has too many stovepipe malfunctions and with the red dot so close to the breech face and peephole, it fogs up the red dot lens after only a handful of rounds. At least when you take the rear sight off of the P365XL frame it puts the red dot at the very back keeping the lens clear, even after 50 rounds or more. And if you use white nail polish on the rear sight of the red dot, you can get a good sight picture even if the dot goes down. Pretty accurate this way too, just not near as good.

    My P365 build is just as fun to shoot, and just as competent as my larger pistols. That means it's being compared to a PDP and a P10F. My video isn't as high quality as yours, but it shows what I did for my build.
    I didn't bring my tripod with me when I went to shoot it last time. The plan was to shoot enough to zero the dot, but then I ended up shooting 400-500rds...had the indoor range to myself, and this setup is a fuckin blast.
    Plans for range footage include swapping on a XL slide to compare recoil behavior, and comparing it to a G19.5 and maybe I will throw the PDP in there for shits.

    • @ronolson2024
      @ronolson2024 Před 8 měsíci

      It takes my P365XL with a red dot and Tactical trigger upgrade to equal the accuracy of my CZ P10C with just iron sights. Like em both, but no way am I going to carry a huge pistol like the P10C when P365's are available.

    This build is so nice. I’m thinking of a 365xl for my edc. I’ve heard people saying they don’t want to change triggers on a carry gun but from what I’ve heard the stock trigger on 365s is the only thing holding me back from getting it. Have you had any issues with your trigger?

      What problem with the trigger have you heard of? Both from long-term owners online and people from my local range, the number of people who have had an issue with a P365 is 0. From instructors to people like myself.
      At this point I have two FCU's, and I would say that neither of them need anything done to them. I thought the new module that came with the XL needed something, but it turns out all it needed was a wiped down and some lube in the right places and the trigger felt way better in terms of smoothness on takeup, and now with a bunch of dry fire and a bit of range time it's broken in nicely.
      Don't touch the trigger until you have 1000 or so rounds through the platform. If you think you still need a trigger change, sure, knock yourself out.

      @@TheKoreanMarksman thanks for your reply. I carry similar guns as you do, I use the shadow system mr920 with a comp when I can on a TXC pro holster and the sig p365 xl when it is not possible. You should have just bought a Sig P365 XL Spectre Comp rather than “rigging” a project gun together that seems to have many minor flaws as per your explanation other than the Wilson Combat grip module. You have also given up the smaller proportions that was the original intention of the 365 by OVER modifying it.
    My advise, get a P365-380 and add a Wilson Combat grip module…PERIOD!! You are obviously a civilian and 380 is all you need with Hornady Critical Defense.
