      Hey Cyd,
      Would it be practical to swap the headlight pump with the windscreen pump? I believe I have a bad windscreen pump on my 2003 9-3 and it looks to be the same pump as the headlamp one... Just wondering if you knew.

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  Před 2 lety +1

      Sussed it for you. Maxi fuses 28 & 33 control the TCP/ESP system apparently. Assuming this is accurate, then this explains why it seemed to make no difference. You would only notice if you got into a situation where TCP or ESP were needed and they didn't activate (which would be a rare event assuming you drive moderately the bulk of the time).
      Now you've replaced F33, check it again in a few days and again a week later, then a fortnight later and so on. See if it blows again.
      In theory, if a maxi fuse blows it indicates a serious electrical problem. However, fuses can break due to NVH issues. If the replacement remains intact for a good few weeks, this is the most likely explanation.
      Here is another common example of fuses breaking due to NVH: czcams.com/video/0YCg1DMBOWo/video.html

      @CycloneCyd  Před 2 lety +1

      Lann sensor? Sorry I'm having trouble understanding what might be the problem.
      Does the airbag light go on & off as you steer?
      For engine light you'll need to read the codes. Use Torque Pro on your phone (Android) and one of these amzn.to/3vM0heO.
      Traction control light is often a broken wire to the rear wheel sensors where they jump from the body to suspension.
      I remember Sad Cafe. Formed in Manchester originally. I was born in Urmston and grew up in Timperley. I'll be back there in a couple weeks to visit my mum.

    Hi my friend, I replaced the motor but I still have problems with the wipers, it means that after 8 or 10 hours when I start the car, the wipers do not work, water pissing also works on the windshield but this is at the beginning Later it does not work again and later it works again after some time It doesn't work And it works again And it doesn't work again and again and again. So what is the problem that the wipers work all the time, but when it comes to water, it does not work once it does not work at the beginning it works and then it stops working later it works again or there is a period that it works all the time and then it stopped working again. So what is the problem with because I have no idea.?? because they really are I don't know and I don't really know how to pull this knob out because I watched this movie when you pulled out this knob but I don't understand anything I really don't know how to move this screwdriver to pull this knob out.

    • @tinamagnuson2
      @tinamagnuson2 Před 3 lety

      @@CycloneCyd Hi Cyd I'm in New York City. I have a 2006 9-3 Aero Sport Combi which was a GM manufacture. The first year I had issues with the anti theft ignition locking system not allowing me to start the car. At that time the dealer had a mechanic and he fixed it. The past couple years it started acting up again off and on last summer.
      I'll turn the key in the ignition and even though I have power and the wheel is unlocked, nothing happens. It's just dead. I few times I found that putting it in neutral and rocking it fixed it.
      The beginning of March it started doing it more and more over the course of the week until it did it every time I turned it off one day while running errands. The end of the day I was stranded in a parking lot. Nothing was working. I disconnected the battery in the hopes that resetting the computer would work after googling the problen. At first it didn't but then when I pushed the car in neutral it finally did.
      My mechanic kept it for a week after that and never had any issues of course.
      t a couple months ago.
      The past rwo months it's been driving fine until last Friday. I was parallel parked on the street tightly wedged between cars. I put the key in the ignition and it wouldn't turn. I couldn't unlock the wheel as a result. I tried to rock it and nothing happened. Finally I did what I did back in March and disconnected the battery this time for an hour not just ten minutes. It started right up. I drove to a near by auto shop and they tested my battery and said it was fine. It's been driving fine since abd all my door locks are working, too.
      So here are sone of the other issues:
      Door lots don't always work remotely. No rhyme or reason as to which one or when. Sometimes it's all of them.
      Fuel sensor sometimes doesn't work sometimes, but hitting a bump always corrects it. It will happen fairly fequently for a few says and then not again for months.
      My alarn will go off about 2 minutes after i've locked the car. I'll hit the remote lock button to stop it and then it will repeat one or two more times before it stops. It did it a few times last fall and then got worse over the winter then stopped doing it for a couple months then started again once and a while.
      So to me it feels like there is some computer glitch triggeringcall this electronic mayhem. Maybe I got the bad compoter. It's made my car unreliable. And neither the dealer or my mechanic have found the problem because I've had to reset it by disconnecting the battery in order to get the car to drive!!!
      I love this car. It's the only new car I've ever owned and it has to last me til I drop dead! Help!
      Happy Father's Day. We celebrate it today as well.
