Hello! We had a magical weekend at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. We were invited to speak so we did a live podcast at the show but we also had a goal of finding a certain retro game that we've been on the search for over the past several months - Mischief Makers for Nintendo 64. Congratulations on finding Mischief Makers. About 9 years ago, I was hunting for an N64 and Mischief Makers for my daughter when she moved out on her own. I happened upon one that came with 2 controllers and 3 games, one of which was Mischief Makers. The other 2 games were Rampage World Tour and Clay Fighter 63 1/3. All in it cost me a grand total of $60.
Wow I really love the Super Mario pinball machine if I had that in my bedroom I'll be playing it every day and getting lots of high scores on it too. ❤😁❤

I remember in the rental store days always seeing Mischief Makers on the shelf. If only we knew how much more time/money would be spent now to get the games so widely available at the time...

Did you know Mischief Makers was the first game advertised as a "2.5D" game? I wanted to play it but it came out the same year as Star Fox 64, Goldeneye 007, and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, which I wanted more. And money was limited so I couldn't get everything. Still haven't played Mischief Makers.

The expo looked really great! And I really loved all that retro gaming stuff!
I remember looking for an N64 game at a few expos…. Much easier to discover when it was only one of a few red cartridges, haha. Sticks right out. But it’s also kinda rare, so no I never found anyone that actually sold it at these events. Eventually bought it online (Rocket: Robot on Wheels).

By the way, was there a game and/or movie you rented all the time?
For me, I had 2 games and 3 movies that were my go-to's as a kid. Chrono Trigger for the snes and Shining force CD for the sega cd were rented many times until they were beat, and the movies were the original Halloween, Monster Squad, and Bad Taste (one of the peter jackson schlock horror movies for those who don't know).
No need to hunt, just turn up before the show and buy up before everyone else!
