In the old days there was less overlap between seasons and even Ian Botham played both sports for a while, turning out for Scunthorpe and Somerset at the time. Arnold Sidebottom played as a bowler for Yorkshire and I believe he had a trial at Manchester United. The Compton brothers played for Middlesex and Arsenal ... there are just so many of them.
Anybody else got any favourites to add who played both sports to some level approaching professional or a halfway decent standard. Finally, Harry’s a great bloke. I wish him and the team all the luck in the world in
