Laughing cause when he’s preparing the squid, he’s just whipping out knives, plates, cutting boards, jar of sauce, and a lime on a KAYAK 😂😂✊🏼
as casual as he is on his balcony doing his catch and cook lol
he's a pro haha
Hilarious so perfect 👌 excellent video!!!
He had everything but the smallest thing. The chopsticks
😂😂😂
Bro you're so wild! You just busted out a little kitchen on your lap, on a kayak, and ate Squidward.
I agree with the lil kitchen so cool!
bro how you gonna ruin spongebob for me like that by saying he ate Squidward
@@Tyler-Bravo 😭
this was the funniest comment on here
squidward is an octopus lmaooooo
He's so prepared, I love it hahah
Will it be a wise decision to eat raw meat from ocean after Japanese release the radioactive wastewater from Fukushima? Seafood will be no longer safe in the upcoming year.
@@leonalbion3716 I doubt cooking would make it any less radioactive.
He forgot soy sauce
ahaha i was thinking the same thing
@@AirLancer U absolutely r right.
Gordon Ramsey: Is this fresh?
Taku: This squid literally just got out of the water seconds ago.
Gordon Ramsey: BUT IS THIS FRESH!?
LOL
"It is fresh Chef"
"SO ITS RAW, GO MAKE IT AGAIN!"
More importantly, IT'S RAWWWWWRRRR! THE SQUID IS SO RAW, IT'S STILL MOVING!!!!!!!!!
Taku: I'm going fishing in my kayak🎣
Also Taku: I need a cutting board, a plate, some seasonings.
but no chopsticks.
@@bourjoisee48 don't worry tho, he's got a lime. 😂
I'm so jealous... I wanna eat squid that fresh right out of the water.
Im starting to think Taku takes that rock slab with him everywhere "Just in case".
Mhmm anytime he gets hungry he takes out a collapsible fishing pole & that rock
Taku and his Rock Slab ye?
im laughing so bad
I can taste your joy
So Taku you fish at Monetary Bay ?
Yeah Mackerel are very cheap fish
Taku straight up having a food network show on a kayak in the middle of the ocean. That's rad asf.
I used to hate mackerel as a kid because Indonesians tend to go seasoning heavy on it when its already got loads of flavor. It wasn't until recently when I tried mackerel sushi and Japanese style grilled mackerel that I completely fell in love with it. Seriously watching this video was tough...mouth watering too much
I love the airplane in the background at the end
I loved it too, I bet he was just wishing he had a 12 gauge:)
this dude legit brought his own soy sauce. living his best life out here i love it.
On a boat with squid: Remembers soy sauce
Preparing mackerel sushi with a prep table and all equipment: forgets soy sauce
And lime
The definition of fresh! This guy won't be able to just get satisfied right away from other restaurants claiming their seafood is fresh lol
@Indian Streetshietters unlucky, just move
@@oo1234561000 move the sheit?
@@oo1234561000 JUST MOVE OOOO
What an awesome day for you man. You can tell your a chef because of how well prepared you are. Being from Western Australia, I do much of the things I can along the coast with you in mind. Your just awesome! 😎
You make me wanna try food I otherwise never would
Definitely lol I love sushi but there’s a lot haven’t tried yet.. ever since I seen him do the sea urchin vídeos I’ve been wanting to try that
freshly caught mackerel is sooo delicious raw--almost like yellowtail (hamachi). only freshly caught though; mackerel tends to spoil very quickly.
This popped up in my recommended and I don’t usually watch these kinds of videos but I genuinely enjoyed the vibe you gave off just enjoying life doing what you love with a camera in front of you definitely subbing keep doing things the way you’re doing them 🙌🏼
agreed, he seems very kind and sweet and totally the type of person you want to be friends with.
Brain: Time to sleep
CZcams: Here's some guy catching and eating seafoods...
Bruh it's 11 at night, I have work early tomorrow and school too.... But I now feel the need to make an amazon cart full of stuff in preparation for doing this even though I likely never will.
currently almost 5 in the morning and im watching a guy catch and eat squid
I love it! You know how good is freshly caught mackerel marinated with rice, wasabi, green onions and anisakis. hooo so good!!!
Mackerel is one of my favorite sushi fish, I honestly like the strong flavor, over fish like salmon and tuna. Reminds me of canned herring. Now i just wish i lived near the ocean so i could catch my own and try to make it myself.
Definitely give it a shot; even previously frozen mackerel is really good prepared like this
@@KN-xl6lw Fresh mackerel from a Japanese market like Marukai, Nijiya, Mitsuwa, etc is going to be hard to tell from fresh. Chinese and Korean and Vietnamese markets may have good mackerel too. Mackerel is da bomb.
@@alexcarter8807 yeah its a great feat of mackerel. It tastes very similar everywhere and all its relative fish species have that nice oiliness. It's also why when frozen once or twice, it still tastes pretty great.
Teriyaki Mackerel is also super good, theres a good amount of bones, but the taste of the fish is so worth it
Damn reading these comments is crazy... we get tons of mackerel out here in Newport Beach, California
Taku you make everything look so good! Kid you not, my daughter and I were watching and my daughter turns to me and says “dad you should make fish for dinner”. Fish isn’t a normal request for her. That fresh squid too. That must’ve been heave. Thanks for the videos. Keep up the great work guys!
Man this video is DOPE!!! Being self sufficient yet creative with the flavours, what more do ya want as an independant human
There is something so soothing about you that calms me when I'm anxious.
Helloooo from AZ👋🏼🌵☀️ Born and raised in San Diego and recently moved to AZ. I miss fresh sushi and the ocean! Your vids bring a smile to my face!🙃
you are so sweet
Taku, you're the man! I love how you utilize freshly foraged ingredients from land and sea and make every video unique and interesting. Keep on doing you big dawg!
Its great to see someone catching the fish than also preparing it with such respect for the food and finesse of plating it. Than also enjoying it fully. So it is all worth it.
Wow, literal chills with the fresh mackerel sashimi and that magnificent background at the end of the video.
Nice airplane ✈️ flying around taking care of Taku’s back. Even nature is happy having Taku around. ☺️
Thank you Taku! This is EXACTLY what I needed. I love these stronger flavors, and the technique is what I was missing, sorry Joc. Thanks again Taku!
The contrast in videos. Here i see an absolute chad catching and eating his lunch. before i saw the ssyoung chick who bought squids from the market, cut their top thingy off but didnt kill them, and laughed while they danced around alive with salt and sauce being pored into their head. i know some see animals dont feel pain like us but squid are pretty smart. they gotta feel that somehow. anyway commend this chad, 1 quick cut, and a delicious meal
There is a respect here that makes a lot of difference. A deference to the animal giving it;'s life for his strength.
There's nothing more beautiful than a person just doin their own thing
That rig pouch looks like an old CD case everyone had in their cars in the early 2000’s 😂
My girl got me that cutting board and a knife you recommended on another episode the best board and knife I ever had
Thanks Taku, I always get a kick out of your videos. Your personality and technical skills are the perfect combo. Cheers from Canada.
This guy is on a whole new level.
Saba is my favorite. When I lived in Vegas, my GF and I used to go to "Sushi Mon" and the chefs knew me as "Sabaman"... It was an all you can eat place, and when I was there they would run out of fresh saba. I'd take down 50+ orders of Saba by myself. No wasabi though.
I love sushi mon!! Yeah!! Vegas!!
Sushi Mon's saba is delish!
Love your intensity. I love mackerel sushi too.
Squid - my favorite! Need to figure out to get more here in Alaska. Best ones ever from the Falkland Islands. Also love mackerel - grilled plain or smoked with pepper. Love this channel.
No One can do it Better on a Kayak.. true meaning of catch n eat and cook !! Love the video and Content ! 🥰 🎣 🌟
Just got done listening to a new song from one of my favorite bands and forgot to turn the volume down and heard WELCOME BACK GUYS really loud 😂 love the videos
My only problem with eating raw mackerel , is that when I cut them up for bait , Ive seen worms wiggle out , and their eggs you cant see . Prepared Saba has usually been frozen and soaked in vinegar or salt , and safe to eat . And delicious ! Raw squid is delicious . Some kelp to snack on also adds a nice crunch to whatever else you might be eating . Go for it !
*The freshest it can get!!* got my mouth watering while I’m eating takeout. It’s ok tho because me and the homies are going after yellowtail this weekend😂😂🤷🏽♂️
Ky1er L tell your homies do not forget soy sauce. 😁
@@lastbite1237 😂😂 ill do that.
Anybody know what kind of kayak he use. Or can recommend one and kayak store in N. Ca
@@carlcalvin1479 I think alot of the bay area utubers use hobies with pedals, I recomend hobie its a great brand and makes quality products. Ocean Kyack also makes great ones but i don't think they have pedals. No matter what brand you buy, make sure you have rod holders tho.
Saba is so Good. I'm happy to see you teach how to's on your catch and cooks.
So glad I found your channel. Knew you couldn’t resist eating the 2nd squid! What a life!
his Walkie-Talkie is set on channel 69? A man of culture I see.
imagine being one of the mackerel and you get pulled up to a dude just snacking on some squid buddies. terrifying lmao
I am impressed that you can create sushi in the great outdoors. Awesome.
Thanks for bringing us along on this cool adventure.
He’s living the life just eating on a kayak sets his food down calm and reels in two fish what a guy
Imagine if he had a battery powered Rice Cooker and a bottle of rice vineger.... ba-blam. Sushi on the sea
I've watched about 6 of your videos so far and my stomach has been grumbling for about 3 hours now. It's currently 11:32PM and I just ordered myself some sushi... This is definitely the life 😭😭
Not often do I hear about my hometown, as a Monterey Bay aquarium volunteer, I’m proud to hear this shoutout!
Thank you for showing me what to do with the fresh mackerel after I catch here in San Diego. Excited to try it next time I go fishing.
Wow, I am so jealousy!
Wow
This man is a different kind of underrated
Chef, when you're butchering the mackrel, you're in my childhood neighborhood on one of those rare, but beautiful, sunny days. I grew up on the cliffs above Mussel Rock. I Caught many a striper surf casting on that beach. Your channel is a great find. Thanks man!
Randomly appeared in my recommended. Was happy to see you doing what you love!
Funny he forgot his chopsticks but he has a cutting board and soy sauce in that little kayak
25:00 i thought I was tripping when I saw that plane 😂
Sameee here xD
I'm glad this video was on my recommended list. Idk why but watching this is very healing
Only man I’ve seen catch and cook on kayak. Nice job 👍🏼
This guy's literally doing an all you can eat restaurant outside
All u can catch*
Thought you were going to break out the rice cooker on the kayak! Great ika catch and eat.
coming from wherever your coming from, man your the best influence!
I love mackerel and squid! Great video.
Love the video. The sushi looks great. Keep up the good vibes
Also the plane at 25:06
Sitting here in Arkansas watching this and all i have in the house similar is canned sardines 😭😭😭😭😭
I'm sitting here in the Vatican and all we have is smelly old fish my wife found in a puddle by our popemobile
Il Papa lmao
and catfish.
This guy has such a great energy about him, awesome vid
Dude what an amazing show ! Thank you for this!!
Pov: You didn't search for this but still watching the whole vid
Man, you aleays gotta search for taku videos. He's the best:)
No I actually did search for this.
**Him: I'm gonna show faster way of cutting fish **
**Also him: Repeats his actions but faster **
dude you're killing me with all these catch and eat on the kayak videos hahahahah. it's hilarious and ingenious at the same time
Its both educational and entertaining. Sushi skills for me.
First time a video has been recommended to me before 5 years
"I forgot my soy sauce"
Wasn't he just using his jar of soy sauce on the kayak? Lolol
JK! Great Video man! Looks delicious as always.
That's exactly what I thought.
Pretty sure a day has past judging by the sky
It’s still in the kayak
Probably hopped in the truck moved up to a spot to film and forgot it in the truck or somethin
I love mackerel and squid sooooo much this video is the best!!!
This is something different. I like your videos.. catch and eat... no food wastage and not releasing back fishes to the wild.. goodjob
Legend has it he’s still out there in pursuit of the elusive halibut
It’s hard to tell without getting a solid look, but I’m pretty sure you had yourself a monster sand dab or other type of flatfish there Taku. At 14:30, looks like the tail fin is more rounded out than your typical Cali halibut.
So hungry now. This is awesome! I need to get myself a kayak 🚣♀️ 🎣 🐟
I really need to give this a go. I love sushi and the outdoors I just didn’t grow up around the ocean
that's dedication mans wearing a mask in the sea..
He don't wanna spread covid to the sea creatures that's being a responsible human
That mask is to prevent from sunburning on the face though.
@@heavenofc-songs1168 shhhh they don’t need to know
ummm... before covid those mask were popular for fishing to protect from sunburn.
@@freshwater2121 it's a joke no need to be so upset
bruh this guy fished out his own mackerel on a kayak n made a 5star sushi dinner in the middle of the mountains
I'm with Jocelyn, in that even fresh mackerel is a very strong oily tasting fish. Love your "saba" application. But if I ever eat it cooked, I have to really flavor it with salt and pepper and fry the daylights out of it and make it crispy with just a dusting of cornstarch but I still need a good squirt of lime or lemon juice with it. Love your channel, man!
Those squids!!! I love them fresh. I never understood people wanting to eat fish but complain about fish being fishy. It’s like complaining about steak being too beefy or tasting bloody/irony.
Imagine giants just picking us humans up randomly in the air, and people just see skins, hair, clothes all falling to the ground xD -- maybe what it's like for the sealife below this man's kayak
Do unto other species ... as you would have them do unto you.
you're gonna like the GANTZ manga
There's a time when you smile when saying "Tiny Mackeral."
and there's also a time when you frown when she says "tiny mackeral"
This is an amazing video! Love your stuff!
Oh this looks so fun and yummy. I never eat the live squid before but i love watching live squid eating. Maybe this is why your video is pop up for recommendation. I love how you prepare everything with you on your kayak (except the chopstick haha but that's ok you have hands)
This guy is definitely surviving the apocalypse.
The thing about Mackerels is that the meat decays very fast. Fresh macs when you cut into them, the meat holds together much better. Perhaps eating no too fresh macs is one or the reason ppl in America doesn’t like mackerel sushi.
The other reason is the stigma against mackerels. That they are a bait fish. Or trash fish.
Fishy
I’m no fan of the taste, they need a lot of oil and pepper for me, maybe more acceptable smoked.
You deserve millions more subs! So glad I found your channel!
Straight up vibin in a kayak i love that
As he takes out the folder for his rigs, I'm thinking, "A CD holder??" lol. Who here remember those?
If they were food grade you could insert cuts of pork belly in the slots and stick'em in the smoker ...
@@whynottalklikeapirat the smoker eh... as though it's mandatory to have a smoker...
@@Jafmanz I don’t have a smoker. Suck on that for a moment. While you do - it’s pretty fucking easy to smoke something in a pot or wok. Especially with something like a cdholder to keep the meat above whatever you you choose to have smouldering in there. Do you own a pot? I kinda suspect you do ...
when he takes a box of sea salt right in the middle of the sea XD
love ur videos and ur organization skills as well!!!
Awesome video! I would love to see your kayak setup with all your equipment and cooler, etc. looks awesome!
Me waiting for him to say what does the sushi taste like
Him: Mh Mh... Mh Mh Mh
" I just wanna get a lil taste"

Amazing beach in the background, sushi looks great too!
Bro congrats! What a great video, I mean got me hooked from start to finish!
Everyone else watching- "Wow that looks amazing"
Me- *sees plane in background* 👁👄👁
Excellent channel! Nice content for sure. I love to fish myself, and love eating fish!! I would like to mention one thing though...
I have been totally into sashimi for years, and recently have found the following horrific truth that has changed my way of thinking!
First of all, eating any type of fish straight out of the ocean is not safe at all!!!! Vinegar dipping is just not enough!!!
The parasites and worms are very abundant in today's fish from the ocean. All this is incredibly scary! One of my buddies has been battling ( with doctors help) parasites and worms in his whole body, and in his eyes for 1 year now!!!
Another friend that caught salmon on a camping river shoreline trip, ate some under cooked salmon, and 4-weeks later, found a rather large worm more than 10" long coming out of his rectum!!!!!
I don't want to gross people out but, all this is 100% true!!!!
Anytime you want to eat sashimi, you MUST deep freeze everything first!!! I know it's sucks to have to do this, but believe you me, once you get parasites, and worms in you, you are screwed!!!!!!!
Hi there, thnx for sharing this is awesome!!! Love being on the waters and just being lazy doing whatever I want. Looks like your enjoying yourself, keep doing what your doing.👏👏👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
This is my favorite!! Omg sooo good. ❤
