It was the last winner who sang in native language until 2017 when Portugal won. I like the fact that you started to watch entries from past years. It was great people insisted him to go further back to 2007 and on, bcause initially he seems to have planned reacting only to winners from 2008 on. I recomended him also "Lane moje" from 2004, and told him to search for Serbian and Yugoslav music. I like you, you look nice, keep representing my country like that on youtube :) Pozdrav!
What I really loved about this one was how they completely let the voice of the singer speak for itself. There was no flashy show, it was simplistic, subtle, symbolic. She captured us completely on her own.

Oh, we have entered the renegade years of only televoting. I remember how we were side-eyeing Slovenia, in front of the TV that year. For their use of high-tech props, consisting of a few led-lights taped to the palm of Alenka Gotar's hand :D Serbia won ESC on their debut, as an independent country, in 2007. If I'm not mistaken, it has not happened since Switzerland won the first contest in 1956 :)

That's just your opinion :) For many of us, Lasha Tumbai is one of the biggest hits from Eurovision. And if you did some research, you would know that Ukraine was an automatic finalist that year, because of the top 10 result the year before. I admit it wouldn't have done as well as it did if it wasn't from an ex-USSR country, but people obviously liked it.
Wonderful and daring. Beautiful language sung about love from such a devoutly conservative country .it would not have been possible many years prior ,the lesbian context. Gorgeous and Serbian ppl are unique and charming !

Great memories for me, it was the first edition I watched live and I totally agreed with the winner. I remember my favorite was Georgia though. That year we had also mesmerizing entries from Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Finland, Macedonia...and of course, epic Ukraine.

Vladimir Moore I doubt he will like it. It’s a joke song and don’t know how it got into the final let alone come 2nd( but no where near a close 2nd) It’s absolutely laughable and not in a good way. Jake, don’t waste your time with this one as their are so many amazing songs for you to hear.
That's just your opinion :) For many of us, Lasha Tumbai is one of the biggest hits from Eurovision. And if you did some research, you would know that Ukraine was an automatic finalist that year, because of the top 10 result the year before. I admit it wouldn't have done as well as it did if it wasn't from an ex-USSR country, but people obviously liked it.

Wonderful and daring. Beautiful language sung about love from such a devoutly conservative country .it would not have been possible many years prior ,the lesbian context. Gorgeous and Serbian ppl are unique and charming !

Great memories for me, it was the first edition I watched live and I totally agreed with the winner. I remember my favorite was Georgia though. That year we had also mesmerizing entries from Hungary, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Cyprus, Finland, Macedonia...and of course, epic Ukraine.
