I love how after so many deaths the pillow count actually gets higher and higher.
When you die, you lose one. BUT when you pick them up, you gain two. And when you die, you don't lose the ones you've picked up already. So if you redo a level picking a pillow each time. You gain one. (You gain two but lose one by dying and repeating.) Get it? :) But I'm sure you already knew that. I just like typing.

Cry, I don't want to spoil anything, but neither 'red' nor 'blue' are good or evil, in a truest sense. Though a lot of options that might be considered bad things end up being red. They're meant to be 'chaotic' vs. 'orderly'. As you'd stated before, you don't like Catherine because she's too flaky (chaotic) and you don't like Kathrine because she's too controlling (orderly). It's not that Kathrine is 'good' and Cathrine is 'evil'. Though cheating (something most people consider bad) ends up being more 'chaotic', it's less because the red bar is evil and more because that the game considers it dishonest and frivolous and disorderly. I'm sure the game could find a lot of 'blue' choices that were pretty mean spirited or down right evil if the scope of the game wasn't just about Vincent's love life.
Is anyone going to mention how freaking hilarious the running animation Vincent has when you are going to a new stage?

You know, it makes me just a little bit sad when Cry responds to some characters when they mention their fathers. When there was talk about the baby, he mentioned something along the lines about his dad not being there. Cry's a tough fella.

HEY does anyone else notice that Vincent's personality changes when he's in the dream world? He seems much more confident, strong willed and noble by the way he talks to the other sheep and the mysterious voice, even without Cry deciding his responses. Maybe it's a manifestation of who he really is, wants to be, or can potentially be on the inside while in real life he's pretty much way too passive. It's a shame since being that way got him way deep in this mess in the first place lol. Any thoughts?
Wow this is really late, but I was rewatching Cry's playthrough and saw your comment. I think Vincent is probably more confident in the "dream world" because know one really knows who he is. He's just another sheep in their eyes.

Basically, what Robert Grays said. Vincent's problem is that he's way too passive in reality, but passivity in the nightmare just gets you killed. So yeah, Vincent would probably be an awesome person in reality if he'd, y'know, DO something. In fact, that's basically what happens near the end of the game.
I must say, the way Cry ends his videos is amazing

Cry, I am actually amazed at how much you have improved since you started this game. At the beginning, I was facepalming after every few block movements, but now you are playing like a pro!
I think the game put you onto evil for saying no to asking a lover for forgiveness because it thought that you were stubborn or prideful to ask for forgiveness, not that you'd actually never done anything but or gotten in a fight and had to apologize for afterwords.
Close, but you misunderstand the meter. The meter isn't good and evil, it's between Chaos and Law, like many SMT games... Catherine was originally a Persona game, so like Persona it's structured around a psychology paradigm. It fits the Id, Ego, and Superego onto a Chaos-Neutral-Law spectrum, and each question has a Chaotic Id answer where you follow desire (in this case, pride and wanting to avoid swallowing it) and a Lawful Superego answer where you follow social convention or morality (asking for forgiveness when you dun fucked up).
What I'm trying to say is, he didn't tick into the red because pride is evil, but because it's self-indulgent.
***** the point of the game is for the player to figure it out, if cry can't then you' re spoiling his own experience.

I know a lot of people have said this about the meter, but then why does it change sometimes during the cut-scenes?
That's not the meter changing, it's the scene changing. It's showing the meter to say "this is the [Chaos/Law] version of this scene" because what Vincent thinks during those moments changes depending on your meter.
Ohhhhh.

At 12:00 - I was pissed at that question. What if someone never had a lover in their life? They'd answer "no" and get the 'bad' ending (which yes, I know there isn't a "bad" or "good" ending, but there is "Chaotic" and... I think "Responsible"?... don't quote me on that one)

Cry's editing is ridiculously top-notch. He just manages to get it so right every time.
The red edge of the meter isn't necessarily bad, it's just about whether you prefer a more carefree relationship or a stable one.

When Cry randomly drops emotional things in like "Don't want a kid raised in a broken home," or "Daddy issues. We have much in common." I don't know whether he's joking around or stealthily slipping in his past, and it makes me sad either way.

If you watch his Let's Play of "Papo & Yo", since the story involves a kid's relationship with his father, you will hear more of Cry's own personal story here and there, it's really sad, especially toward the end of the game.
Cry has mentioned in past videos (first off the time of my head is Cat Lady) that his dad walked out on the family when he was very young. Years pass, but the bitterness remains.
I actually literally clap a little every time cry handles puzzles successfully, haha

There's some stuff I figured out:
1: The straighter your horns are, the more evil/crazy you are (excepting Vincent cause he's what the player makes him into)
2: Cry is one of the sweetest people I know. Or at least he seems that way over a screen over a voice over on a game through the internet. Whatever :P
3: Catherine is either the witch (probably) or just severely crazy.
4: Cry is the king of editing
5: If Vincent dresses normally, but sleeps in his underwear and the nightmare stages occur in his underwear, then you appear how you sleep. If this is the case, why the hell does the cop sleep with his gun? or the journalist guy sleep in a vest and glasses? *mind blown*
1. The bigger the horns, the more sheep you've killed. When you kill enough sheep, you become like that jacked up sheep Cry runs into. When you become like that sheep, then you've gone past the point of no return.
2. Cry's pretty cool, I can agree on that one with you.
3. She's not the witch, but you may be on to something. Won't spoil it, naturally.
4. Fair enough.
5. Remember, the sheep can only see the other sheep as other sheep. No one else can see Vincent in his underwear but Vincent himself. How the other sheep dress helps you to identify who they are when they come into the Stray Sheep bar. It's not how they sleep, that would be weird, but amusing.
CrownlessKing Okay, Awesome! I have a general idea of what Catherine probably is in my head, but can't really put my finger on it. And the sleeping sheep thing was just a little idea to entertain myself :3 That's a good perspective though. You have my respect.
The Ending Song that Cry picked was oddly relatable to the story of Catherine. Neat! :D
I generally take a lot of time to pick the right song and just make things work.
For example: Part 1's outro speaks of 'fire' when Catherine comes up. This was meant to signify 'playing with fire.
Part 2's outro speaks of keeping one's hands off another. Because DAMN THOSE SILLY HANDS. So on and so forth. :D

Red is not evil here, red is freedom. Freedom is good but it can seem bad to a world that needs order, or in this case blue.
"freedom" vs "order" huh... damn, that changes the perspective on these choices.
Red isn't freedom, it's chaos or something like that. The opposite of order.
Freedom is the middle one.
Alexy Lionel depending on how Order is being enforced, Freedom could be seen as an opposite. in this case, Freedom does seem quite fitting as the "Order" side, Katherine, is being restrictive and pushing him into what she sees is the right road. in the end, this Order is only going to restrict Vincent from being able to do what would make him happiest, and with as much as he is mentally fighting it, he doesn't love her enough for this to be right.
Chaotic means freedom too, its like follow your heart and do whatever u want. Imagine hedonism

I think the game plays with you. If you answer a question in the "correct moral" way to answer, your karma goes blue. But, even if "Katherine" is the blue side, the game practically forces you to go with Catherine, because "she is pretty and fun" and Katherine is "grumpy and controller". My honest opinion, I like K more than C, but for me the best ending is Vincent alone.

Actually, to be more precise about the praying mantis; there have been observed cases in which the female (being fully fed beforehand) didn't eat her mate, and in fact it happens a lot less often than you'd think. what's wild to me is that there are sometimes solutions already there and cry breaks those solutions but then finds even more interesting and/or bodged solutions - i love it! even though its so frustrating to see cry completely miss the existing solution XD
