I'm not particularly fond of either girls, or Vincent, for that matter. Katherine is kinda manipulative, but at least she tries to get Vincent to take care of himself. Catherine outright stalks him -- he never gave her his number, or his email, and she snuck into his home the second night without his permission. And Vincent needs to tell the fucking truth. (To be fair, I'm kind of a be-honest-at-all-costs kinda person, so the way Cry is playing Vincent bugs me. But that's just me.)
If he's gonna be an asshole, he might as well just break up with Katherine. He doesn't seem to enjoy being with her. Catherine annoys the hell out of me, though -- she tries really hard to be cute and bubbly and stuff. And then she assumes they're dating because they slept together two nights in a row. She said she's not the type of girl to just sleep with someone, and my first reaction was, "You could've fooled me." She throws herself at Vincent even though she knows almost nothing about him (because shit, she can just get all the information she wants about him without his permission).
... Am I being too harsh? I can't tell. I am not fond of liars.
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I flipped my shit when he had sex with her the third morning. He was drunk the first night, sure. Doesn't even remember leaving the bar with her the second night (and probably didn't), okay. But the morning after, he just lets her do what she wants with him. He is sober. He can say no and push her off and be like "This was a mistake and I don't want to lie anymore." He has no excuse. Goddamnit, Vincent.

She's the only mature adult in the relationship, but when it's pertinent to the story they're trying to make, the writers paint her a domineering bitch who walks over Vincent. But he deserves it because he's a fucking infant _non-stop_. The cutscene facial expressions and the way he lets himself get walked on by all his friends and both the women in his life.

Katherine is controlling, Catherine is an invasive stalker ... well... she took advantage of an intoxicated man, broke into his house (we can assume Katherine has a spare key since she was in a relationship with the MC for a long time) so legally speaking he can press charges. And where did she get his phone from? people this is not an erotic fantasy this is a nightmare :S
As for Katherine... I found it ironic how she's telling him what to do (quit drinking) but when they were texting she accused him for not living "for himself" by not fulfilling her wish. To be honest. I'm liking how complicated this story is and how flawed all the characters are.

Yeah. Katherine is rather bossy. Okay, it's time to get married now, stop drinking, do this, do that. She doesn't take his feeling on marriage into consideration, simply pushing him to do what she wants, which may actually lead to his hesitation to get married. "Is it going to be like that the rest of my life? Her telling me what to do?" When Catherine shows up, it offers him a way to have a kind of freedom he hadn't experienced before. He does what he feels HE wants to do. But once the euphoria wears off, and he has to get back to reality, he's constantly worried about what Katherine will think of him, despite the nightmares he's having.
She wasn't accusing him of not living for himself, she's saying he has more lives to worry about now than just since his own, since he's going to be a father.

Even once the whole thing is finished, they are both pretty psycho. I can see Katharine's reasoning for wanting Vincent to be more frugal (my fiance is constantly buying stuff we don't need like a brand new phone when the old one is maybe 6 months old or so, and it ends up making us short on our bills and rent), but at the end of the day, he CAN pay his bills, so who cares if he does treat himself with his extra cash. Not like he's the one who wasn't on top of the birth control.

I just remembered, Didn't that guy in the bar in the earlier video talk about his girlfriend stabbing her food with a fork? And Katherine stabbed her food with a fork too! In Vincent's dream, that lady who tried to kill him in the boss arena had a fork in her hand too, and was trying to stab him. She also had the same colour nail-polish as Katherine. But his dreams started before he cheated on her. How does that make sense? Katherine also talked about how she does the killing in her dreams in the first scene, before Vincent started getting the nightmares. I think he was supposed to cheat on Katherine with Catherine. And the girlfriends are killing their cheating boyfriend in the dreams, and this whole thing is Catherine's sick game... Something is missing though... I'm forgetting something...
So when Catherine said she was in the area, then showed up 2 minutes later, it mean she's stalking him. He got a new phone, and was also pretty drunk, maybe she put a tracking device on it? And that smirk when Katherine said she might be pregnant! that seemed extremely suspicious. I also remember another guy in the bar saying that his ex-girlfriend was pregnant. Maybe these dreams are causing such reactions not only from the man but also from the girl? These nightmares affect the characters in real life even though they can't remember them and the cheating men are the victims in nightmare and the girlfriends/wives are victims in real life.

#TeamCatherine mainly because even though Katherine is really just trying to look out for the both of them and the child, she's not doing a very good job of it. Catherine is easygoing, carefree, and so much more fun. There's no such thing as a "slut", really, I just view them as people who like to have a little more fun in life. There's nothing really that bad about people who are that loose with who they sleep with, I think they deserve to be just as much a person as anyone else. Anyways, team catherine. Fuck yeah.

Katherine is controlling and restricting, and her personality isn't one most guys would like, yet she's the better candidate because you have a responsibility towards her. The 'freedom' at the end ought to be freedom from both of them, if I were to choose.

I have a theory about this game. I think Catherine is the mastermind behind it all. All these nightmares. I reckon Vincent never even slept with her the night he got drunk, and the night after as well. I think she only makes him think he's cheating on his girlfriend so Vincent can create the nightmares he has. I also kind of get the feeling Catherine had completed all the stages once before one time.. because they said something about the guy winning doing what they want or something like that? Dunno. My theory.

Catherine and Katherine represent two big points in everyone's life. Catherine is the more "fun" "do what you want" type of thing people wish they could live their whole lives while Katherine is "reality" and "growing up".
Reality isn't a contrast to fun. I'd say Katherine represents routine.

Like many Atlus games this one explores not the binary of "good" and "evil" but instead "law" and "chaos".
Vincent's friends represent the Id, Ego, and Superego in how they relate (badly) to women. Tobias is the Id as he chases his desires (women being the object of them) without much restraint. Orlando is the Ego, trying to ease his own pain by ignoring his grief in a self-destructive fireball of misogyny. Johnny is the Superego, burying his own feelings for the women he truly loves because of social convention (if you don't understand what I mean by that yet, you'll find out later in the game). As such they also lay in one absolute position on the Law-Chaos spectrum; Toby in the far Chaos, Orlando in the true Neutral, and Johnny in the far Law.
Your position on the Law-Chaos meter at the end of the game not only determines who you end up with but also what you do with them, following most strongly either your Chaotic Id, Neutral Ego, or Lawful Superego. So yeah, getting married to Katherine and making a nuclear Japanese family is Law, and getting bizzay with Catherine and dumping all his responsibilities with Katherine is Chaos. But they /themselves/ aren't necessarily Choatic and Lawful, just how Vincent relates to them is. After all, Catherine doesn't like the idea of him cheating on her, and Katherine... well, to keep spoiler free let's just say she's not as "lawful" as you might think.

I went with Katherine ending and I did like it. I later watched a Caterhine ending as well though, and it wasn't bad either. For someone like me it'd be hard to be lose with morals, so it's unlikely I'd get her route if I'd be honest with the game...

It seems like the two women show conflict between freedom and control. Both of these lifestyles have their ups and downs, but you get some you lose some. That's life. In my mind these women are both attractive and I think that's how the writers wanted it. The two are similar down to their names, but the main difference is lifestyle and in the end that's what Vincent's really choosing.
Independent? I'm not sure. Maybe on the outside, but not emotionally. She did seem mature and intelligent at first, but as soon as she started talking about her mother and friends "encouraging" her to settle down, she lost me. And it's not like she's even close with her boyfriend, she obviously can barely read him, puts him under pressure to make a statement he certainly is not ready for, and doesn't seem to care much about what he really feels as long as he mumbles something about being happy. They seem to be pretty out of touch with each other.
I think they're together because she is just as immature as he is. They just act it out differently. And to be frank, cheating is far less irresponsible than planning a child and marriage without really considering if the partner is emotionally in the same boat. I would definitely not want them as parents.
as the story progresses, u will find out y vincent is stuck between these two girls (i watched chilledchaos play it already, but i love to see how my other favorite youtubers play.) It all makes sense as time progresses...

I have to say with Katherine it isn't that she is completely unlikeable but she's pretty controlling. I understand the baby factor but that is nine months away if she is pregnant which means she should give Vincent time to settle into the idea. However she is controlling him right away, taking control of the bank accounts and telling him to change his life style. She said she thinks she is pregnant without knowing for sure, at least wait until you know before making all of these demands. Also I understand she's mad but banging her hand on the table would have been enough to get Vincent's attention without stabbing that poor innocent cake XD.
I totally agree with what you're saying. As much as I like Katherine, it's very obvious that there are huge differences in who is in control (and manipulating) in their relationship. But it's not only her, it also pisses me off that Vincent is just too chicken to be honest with her about how he feels about their relationship. Of course you're bound to hurt someone when you don't share the same plans for the future, but it's even worse pretending you agree with everything your partner says. Also, cheating on her is really horrible (even if it feels like Catherine is manipulating him as well), but not even making a valid effort to break off contact with her? This half-heartedness and indecisiveness really annoys me.

I acctually think that it's a little bit like the angel and devil on your shoulders thing, just not with the good angel and the bad devil, but with carefull Katherine, and carefree Catherine. Both try to make Vince tick like they do, but Vince stays in the middle doing a bit of both all the time.

Judging by later videos obviously, I think the demon that Catherine was, was just trying to be everything that Vincent's subconscious wanted. To be free and not be tied down like Katherine was wanting him to. Im guessing this was so that she could get more victims and they'd be more succumbed to being tempted to cheat. Also another theory of mine! I think Catherine may have different forms to suit the men she's after. That's why so many have died in the same way.

To be fair, Katherine is made to seem like a bad idea on purpose. She get's practically no positive limelight at all, is portrayed as the nagging jealous girlfriend, and is in fact *(tiny spoilers)* the inspiration/identity of some of the monsters in the puzzles you complete. In my opinion, Catherine always seemed too manipulative to me. And very suspicious. Then again, I've always hated the whole "Two girls want this one guy" love triangle.
As for the situations Vincent gets into with Katherine, he PUT himself in those situations. I don't know, being a girl really biases my opinion on the matter. If he doesn't want the responsibility (he probably should have worn condoms). Just saiyan.

I like the thought of the more stable relationship that is already set by Kathrine. The ability to raise children, and give them a stable home to grow up from. Catherine is exciting, but really has no future.

This a game based on YOUR opinion. that's why ATLUS made Vincent like he is because some people want to go the corrupted route (which has the funniest ending imo). If you yourself were playing and made the options to choose K over C, you will prolly get the ending you would like. Not to mention, don't count Vincent out yet because you honestly DON'T know where this story will lead to. (I have played this game and gotten all endings so I know what happens)

Yes, Katherine could be pregnant, in which this case, I personally believe Vincent should take responsibility. I get Katherine. She loves Vincent quite a lot and I think she assumes its reciprocated in the same amount. So she may seem a little controlling, but Vincent seems rather quiet so it would make sense for her to say things like that. Since Vincent doesn't seem to love her to that extent, shit's about to hit the fan.

Katherine is what happens when someone who is slightly controlling falls in love with someone. She speaks too quickly, which is due to how much she loves him. My only issue with her is that she doesn't really let Vincent speak and he's already pretty quiet. She doesn't ask him, she tells him. Which is something that happens and eventually changes once the partner(Vincent) tells whoever is being controlling(Katherine) to cool their jets. However, Vincent is a little wieny , so it would probably get worse.

I feel like if I was in that situation, Katherine is my longtime girlfriend and probably understands me the best out of everyone, I bet if I just said,"So hey, I was drunk and woke up with some other woman in my bed.
