I lost touch with my cousins for two weeks after Katrina my sons wedding in Detroit was the night before Katrina. They called and said theywere not coming I was lost in a Cabo Wabo0 tequila haze, my mom's gamily was my love my son I was losing and I neglected to ask where they were evacuating to. The night this special aired I was in Batron Rouge crying when neil started singin this song I was a flight attendant I breathed deep thinking just the smell of his coat on the plane would calm me down. I once again diaLED the 504 number and it changed to a 604 number I had found an area code where they were at. The next day I located a relative in Brookhaven Miss and knew they were all safe.I will never forget the determiation in my mind to find them. And personal thanks to General Honore. Penny Lawyer
I like his music but I don't like what he said about the south and southern man which I am one of those southern boys, The only whip I ever saw was the one my mother busted my ass with and growing up poor in tennessee got myself and other southern boys a beating by tennessee police and while police would be whipping us the AA boys would run in different directions ,
