To the people who are baffled by the fact that a singleplayer RPG is in early access, you know Baldurs Gate 3 was in early access for three years right?

Honestly? It's nice to see that the first game was memorable to a lot of people. So many people here who are quoting the lines from the characters in the game- very cool. 😊

Greedfall to me was such a great RPG crafted by a small team, but yet such detailed and rich worldbuilding. I'm really looking forward to this one and see how Spiders keeps steadily improving with each game
It had a lot of bugs and glitches that destroyed the game
But yet still felt a bit lacking
Get ready for Greedfall 2 and the tale of a strong powerful woman who doesn't need a man to protect her, because the devs made sure to write her as a man already.

Greedfall is hugely underrated - the gameplay needed some tweaking but overall it's a very story rich and satisfying game. Can't wait for the sequel.

Greedfall...2? I did not expect this! Greedfall is actually a pretty decent game that needs more attention, so glad to see it was a success!

Spiders is becoming one of my favorite game developers, each game they make has a huge improvement over the previous one.
I'm just glad they are making more bioware style RPGs, hopefully with it going early access.they can polish the sequel more than the original
I'd consider it a series of very steady, yet small, improvements myself. Going from Of Orcs and Men to Bound by Flame and Faery, War Logs to Technomancer and Greedfall (Don't intend to try Steelrising) - Spiders always seem to be taking some steps forward and some steps back, for an overall very average kind of experience and yield.
I've seen somebody say a very poignant quote that effectively boils down to:
"Spiders have played a single BioWare RPG in their youths, fallen in love with it and tried replicating it part by part even since."
I'm ready for this! But, I'm not an early access type o' guy, I'll wait for the finished product.

GF1 was a solid proof of concept. World building and characters were great. My main hope for GF2 is more skills/a bigger tree and better build diversity. Was kinda sad that Warriors were basically forced to use 2h, Rifles were straight up better than pistols etc.

True, though they need AAA budget and better engine.
And unfortunately, now they are under French EA (Nacon).
Bioware started to fall apart when EA bought them and they lost their independence.

The first game was such a rare gem. Knowing it was an Indie game but by the end of it feeling like it had AAA polish. If you can get passed the eh graphics and slow starting combat, the game shines bright in my eyes.

even tho the first had some bugs that were fixed some samelookish places etc... still was agood experience and im glad too see it continue ... hope spiders will step up a bit more they seems to polish game more with every new one :D

Don't love that it's early access, but really happy to see a sequel. The first was a bit janky, but definitely a strong foundation and interesting world.
We are in the middle of summer and in a RPG drought. When is this early access dropping?
Happy to see a new trailer, but not super enthused that it's yet another teaser that tells us barely anything more than what the first reveal trailer told us.
That said, still excited. If we get a bit of a smoother combat system, more robust character creation, and significantly less repeating/repetitive dialogue, I'll be over the moon.

You have my attention. And personally if a dev can afford to do so, early access can help mold a single player game into something spectacular. They’re prob taking notes from BG3’s dev cycle and want this sequel to really shine.

Hope they did a major overhaul of the combat system. It was pure cheese with spamming the blunderbuss being the best way to play the game, no balance what so ever.

It's a parallel story (takes place at the same time as Greedfall 1) but you play as a different character (fully customizable including gender). They did the same with Technomancer and Mars War Logs.
Since we already got colonial/imperial perspective in Greedfall 1, they wanted to show this world from the native perspective (we play as a native kidnapped by colonials to work as a slave).
Love the music. Nice choreography.
