That was the car I learned to drive manual in. 2nd gear blew up 8 months after I had it and the mechanic said the guy that had it before me thrashed it & installed a lot of the modifications poorly. Had them put a 5 speed back in it, and sold it. The guy I sold it to showed up in a Prius, bought it, and reached out 6 months later saying the ECU failed. I bought my 97 honda accord with less than 100,000 miles on it for $2,000, 5 years ago and I'm still driving it to this day haha
@@ProjectAmoeba_ yea you have to watch out, 300k+ miles is a big Hazard man
This was my first car 5 years ago. I still have it and I love it. It has space for anyone and anything, good on gas, and fun
It's the integra of the current era
Still waiting for people to hop on the J series. I need more mods for my Acura CL!
Same brother. You have the 6 speed?
@@ThePwak007 Automatic, my girl has the 6 speed, but I swapped an '07 AV6 transmission in it. I plan on swapping a manual in later, just so I can throw a standalone ECU into it and tune it. Might attempt throwing on the M90 Super charger when I do. Right now, she's just fully bolted.
But, at the moment, my J32A2 blew up 5 miles after racing a Camaro (I won). I swapped a J35A3 into it, swapped over the camshafts, didn't do a valve adjustment, bent 4 intake and 2 exhaust valves. Had it rebuilt, put it back on, and now I'm having a knock. Pretty sure it's a rod knock, but the knock has traveled cylinders and sits at cylinder 6 right now.
She will live again, and beat more V8s.
@@ThefireballVR Im learning about mods so what is full bolt on?
@@justdrift8737 It means I have every main modification put on my car; every mod bolted on.
Custom 4 Inch cold air intake, Skunk2 74mm throttle body, J37 Intake manifold with the IMRC wired up, P2R ported and polished lower intake runners, J35A3 motor, DC Sports headers and J pipe, aftermarket high flow cat, 3 inch exhaust, 19 inch resonator, 2.5inch mufflers, Acura RL 4 pot brake calipers painted blue, stainless steel brake lines, unorthodox racing light weight crank pulley.
All that's left is a 6 speed, aftermarket ECU, and a supercharger or turbo.
@@ThefireballVR badass
Actually No, don't give this to immature young drivers, because they will damage the car, and be put them and someone else in danger.
Being immature has nothing to do with your ability to drive a car. Don't be ignorant.
Hello, I am a learner driver who isn't immature
@@isiahaf1359 it goes hand in hand….if you’re immature you’re more likely to do something stupid even if you’re a “good driver”
Had this when I was 16 loved it
This WAS my first car as a teenager. Paid for it myself doing valet parking like a madman. Was so worth it. Sadly it was stolen a few years later but loved every moment with it. 🥰
I can’t imagine a 4 cylinder hitting 8-9,000 rpm😂😂😂😂😂
Motorcycle engines are tiny 4 bangers that hit over 15,000rpm. The smaller the engine, the less mass it has, so it's easier to rev it high.
@@yummyhershey5902 oh 100%, but just thinking about if I remember correctly a 2.4L i4 revimg out 9K is impressive in my book lol
These are slow but they look cool... I raced one with an upgraded exhaust in my stock 08' Honda Accord 2.4l sedan and smoked it BAD.
It might have been a base model to be honest they are slow don’t even have vtec the type s tho they are a different story
@Erzas HalfCab the vtec works different it isn’t real vtec unfortunately
Yeah that was def a base 😂
@@xckj3776 He pulled pretty strong from a dig, I almost thought he had me all the way up to 3rd gear @ around 45 mph and then I walked him... He had the stock Type R appearance package and sported the Type R badges but who knows, it could've either been a REALLY good clone...
@@luisforeal8676 my type s doesn’t pull till 7k rpms around 30mph it’s slow as hell from a dig
i would say if you are shopping for a first car NOW, you aren’t getting a “perfect” used car because it’s going to cost you a shitload or it’s not going to be a “gem” type car like an rsx. really you’re probably not getting a honda or a toyota or anything people want.
but your first car shouldn’t have nearly 200k miles and cost $10,000. stay away. buy a cavalier or a pt cruiser and beat the hell out of it because the prices on those have not gone up
i have a cavalier and its falling apart lol, still runs hella good tho
I can validate this guys video, my first car was a RSX Type S 2005 loved that car.
No complaints who so ever, fun to bang gears in and surprisingly kept up a lot of cars at the time.
I first drove this in 2013 and at the time it was great.
Highly recommend this car for any first time driver who wants a sports car. Great car to learn manual in too.
Miss my silver one.. Alot of fun nights .even after, trying to race any one beside me ... She took it like a champ. With like 25$ she would fill up ..and then off to an adventure ...Fun times.dependable af, well atleast mine was.
“You just dont see these anymore” *i casually see like six or seven every single day*
Same here, Im from SoCal. To be fair, there might be little to none from where ever he's from.
Did a cross country road trip this year to CA. Can definitely say I've seen the most there, and in pretty good looking condition. Saw a few good ones in FL but nowhere else really
@@deduser3436 fl is actually one of the best states to find any used car in good condition for a bunch of different reasons
Had two of those! Flipped both, no injuries at all. Fantastic and safe car. Plus who doesn’t love a vtec
I remember driving one of these… it was very fun and refined!
Rather get a Lexus is300 for the same price
Good luck finding a manual is300
Just get a Miata, it's cheap, RWD, cabrio, tons of aftermarket parts, it's a great car to learn the basics with and most important of all - you're gonna be F A B U L O U S 🦄
Two seats only...
@@Hollozappa That's not always a bad thing.
Convertibles aren't great in places that snow. Also have you seen what NAs are going for now?
@@FUNKOfilms Yeah it snows here and my miata was great fun in the snow. Also, you don't have to buy an NA. I prefer the NBFL look.
Welp guys we can say goodbye to this one now
Me and my huge trunk space laughing in full audio build that take up 90% of my trunk
I wasn't impressed by anything this car had to offer. I've sat in one, driven a different one, and tbh, while I can see the appeal, it just doesn't speak to me like it speaks to others. Plus I used to know a guy who had one, and while we were driving down a river road, a tie rod snapped in his steering and it shot the entire car off the road, and it rolled twice before landing upsidedown in the river. He managed to walk away with nothing more than a broken finger and some bruising, but the car was a lost cause. By the time I got out of my car, it was totally submerged and he was only just climbing out of the car.
Same. I chose an a-spec TL over this thing. And I love my TL. Never had a single ounce of regret.
That was one of my considerations...until I found out how CHEAP I can get a 1994 Toyota Celica GT Four 🤤
as soon as i saw the taillights i remembered nfs underground, this was my go to car
“$24000 in 2006, so a teenager could reasonably afford one.” Bro people will charge that much now during COVID, I ain’t paying that much for a cd player
lmao my budget is like 2k
Damn now I want one
This was my first car! In that exact same color, Blaze Orange Metallic. Loved every second I spent with it.
"Which means a young person could afford it"
What kind of young persons are you pointing at?
Those things run forever totally worth the money
2002 type S was my first car, loved it!
Wow bro those gauges are so cool
Always wanted one of the 05-06 Type S models (sleek headlights instead of the one with the bubbles at the bottom). Sister actually had a manual base RSX when I was 12 or so. Closest I could get was an 02 EP3 Civic Si at 17 years old - cammed, intake & manifold, stage 2 clutch, header, exhaust, springs & shocks, wheels and minor exterior mods, and a 6 speed manual transmission from an RSX Type S (they came with 5 speed manual trannies). Still, so many memories with that little car.
Careful with the grinds tho, you’re welcome.
If you close your eyes after he says the name of the car, you can pretend he's describing a civic and it's almost spot on
I'm sold
i saw one of these on my way to work the other day. magnificent
I miss my 04 5speed base rsx
Only that it costs 10x everyone’s budget
This man looked at the K24 and said I-VTEC...🤣
A VERY NICE AD! I owned one for 8 years, and it was still running strong with 233,000 miles when I sold it upon enlistment!
You just don’t see these anywhere a two door coupe with a hatchback. Uh ok then *cough* 350z, 300zx, 370z, Supra, rx7*cough* but for real tho you can get a nice 350z for under 5k
this car is amazing. had 2 back in the day and they always put a smile on my face
Love the Acura/Honda vehicles of the old times 😁😁😁💯💯
That insurance thoooo
Honda Integra: Bro! I'm literally in the Video.
Thx for the Recommendation
This is my first car and it is amazing I enjoy it hundred percent
Same thing was said about the mk4 Supra years ago, now look where we are
Supras are expensive af since F&F came put.
Just picked one up they are awesome
