This is the Maiden voyage of my Twin Star 1. I've been wanting a Twin Star 2 but this one came across my desk so I decided to build it. I quickly found the reasons they upgraded this frame. 1. the foam is weak, 2. the wing retention is HORRIBLE!. I had to Laminate the entire plan and modified the wing attachment area.
Other than that is a magnificent plane to fly - stable and powerful, perfect for a short range fpv airplane
I filmed this with the RunCam HD The maiden is with stock settings and the Onboard footage was after I played with the settings. I like the changes, The sky still looks natural and colors vivid without the blacks being blown out.

Congrats, Bro! Amazing video and plane! I'm nearly finished my Twinstar II, can't wait to test it!
Nice setup!
It looks like pretty well laminated lol
Happy sunday
Nice video showing how good this model is, I think Multiplex are really good Planes.
I still have it. I need two new motors for it,,,,I sold the vintage motors that were on it
Not that surprise it fly good. It's been a favorite sense day 1. Great vid.
I may need a ts2!!!
Looks great, Jeff! I miss my Twinstar II... I didn't appreciate how well they fly until I tried a few more planes.
It's amazing isn't it? The flight envelope is amazing- you can't tip stall it!
WOW that thing flies great on and off the power hmmm...
It really does- I'm testing 6 and 7" tri bladed props. Thanks for commenting!
Nice one Jeff awesome plane, it looked like it flew really well
Hay can you do video on how you laminate your planes I would love to see you get such a great looking finish.
Funny you should mention a lamination video- my buddy mentioned that too. - next plane I do I'll film it! Thanks
How would you say this compares in speed to a bixler/skysurfer? Slower or faster in terms of cruise speed? I have a skysurfer and the speed of that is about the limit of an RC plane where I can fly. Thanks.
That brought back memories (having one land in a tree for instance :P) ! A TS was one my first planes :)
The wing mount doesn't look all that different then on the V2 by the way :$ What is different there?
No surprice it flew well :D
Cheers and thanks for sharing :)
Thanks- love this plane!
Yeah.. I liked mine quite a bit as well :)
I lost it when the elevator control-horn got ripped out of the elevator..
Might be because I flew mine inverted a lot :$
Great Video :-) Got the TwinStar II . How did you mount the RunCam?
I made a shelf where the cockpit is
Tks a lot :-)
supp I know its a bit late for a comment I had a twinstar bk in the day I stuck 2 extra motors on the wings then along come the multiplex cargo
also 4 motors I also fitted early ducted fans on gliders like the famous easy pidgoen
I would like to get into air plants but scared of crashing bit what is the cheapest for a beginner rtr because I don't have a rx or tx
Hands down the best plane to buy is the Horizon Hobby UMX Sport Cub S. It has a beginner, intermediate and expert mode and it's so fun to fly! I have a few videos on it - take a look. You can buy the rtf version that has a tx- rx is built in!
