- Birds from a quick weekend trip to the Blue Mountains of Jamaica in February 2020 right before the pandemic began.
In order of appearance: Jamaican Tody, Arrowhead Warbler, Orangequit, Jamaican Euphonia, Blue Mountain Vireo, White-chinned Thrush, White-eyed Thrush, Streamertail, Jamaican Vireo, Ring-tailed Pigeon, Jamaican Pewee, Jamaican Woodpecker, Jamaican Blackbird, Greater Antillian Bullfinch, Yellow-faced Grassquit, Jamaican Spindalis, Zenaida Dove, Jamaican Becard, Rufous-throated Solitaire, Loggerhead Kingbird, Black&White Warbler, Prairie Warbler, Golden Yellow Warbler, American Kestrel, White-winged Dove
Thanks to an amazing guide I saw every one of the birds featured, except the Blue Mountain Vireo, which eluded us. The migrant warblers at the end I've seen in the US.
Jamaica is a fantastic place to bird! So many cool species. Highly recommend it.
No doubt for me to visit Jamaica. All of them are my lifers. Very inspired. Thank you again for sharing, this, my dear.
Thanks!
great video, i know a lot of these birds but by different names. I Know the tody as robin red breast, the black bird as cling cling, grass quit as grassie, spindalis as aunty katey, zenaida dove as pea dove, black and white warbler as ants pecker, golden yellow warbler as canary, american kestrel as chicken hawk. I love birds and currently raising barble doves and white doves
