I know, right? "If you're old..." Harrumph. Durn kids. So not only is he rubbing in our faces that his local club is playing Epic, and that his local club is _playing_ again, he's calling us old. To be honest, I _am_ old, both in the hobby and on this planet, but it's still amazing and delightful to see that people are playing this amazing game again.

Superb buildings. I've been play Epic 40,000 for years and all the old editions have good communities behind them. A lot of good alternatives available for minis if you don't want to 3d print or want even more choice. 6mm is a superb scale for mass sci-fi battles, glad to see more people get back into it.

I feel Epic is GW's best game system and my favorite of any game (and we play many). 6mm is a great scale for sweeping battles and being so small are actually easier to paint than larger scale minis. Am I old? Hmm, does being 66 count as being old? Oh and do I remember 40K Epic completely right I do since I have Space Marines, Eldar, Squats, Orks and Imperial Guard armies and none of them are small with hundreds of miniatures per army. I also have quite a few of the old card Buildings with plastic tops (like several dozen). Your idea of using wood for the buildings is a great idea since while I do have a ton of plastic card stock cutting them to fit would be a major pain. But getting some balsa wood (because it is lighter) and cutting it to size would work and since I am old I do own a miter saw. Back in the mid 1990's we would put on ultra large battles of Epic with four players per side and 3,000 - 4,000 points each. Being able to put all four of my Eldar Titans on the table along with the rest of my Eldar army was fun. GW killed it off in the late 1990's because it was cutting into Warhammer 40K (idiots).
Oh for additional mini's for Epic consider looking at the old Mech Warrior Dark Age miniatures since they do scale perfectly for Epic 40K, but if you can 3d print stay with that. Oh and HO scale buildings can also work for Epic 40K though they are far more expensive these days. I really need a 3d printer but the wife would kill me if I got one. But using wood should work.
    Great video.
