Nice! review of internals & gearbox! 👍 i'm glad there was no negatives about this ally/metal replacement gearbox! Having just taken apart my original (plastic- ABS?) gearbox & cleaned it up ready for a full install of new bearings & marine grease. I am very tempeted to get this metal version, & replace the bearings with the bearings in the kit i bought for the plastic one, & then properly marine grease it up! The bearings from this matal one can go into the plastic one! Spare gearbox on hand just in case! :)

It doesn’t come greased, the bearings are not sealed, and you need to shim it for the high speed gearing to engage properly! Your welcome!

So what are you doing to switch it into 2nd gear? After watching your videos on this build…. I bought almost all the same stuff… but not sure what you did for the trans selector.

Actually I didnt used the second gear but the trans is exactly the same from original design from traxxas only its aluminum
