Casually throwing the most overstable fairway drivers further than I could hope to throw anything.
He sure does, but among those discs I would only put the fireball in the "crazy os" category. A fresh Ahti would challenge anybodys arm and the opto-x moonshine xxx I bag for my forehand rollers is another freak (I can probably throw a justice farther than my xxx). He said the fx-2 was 750 plastic and maybe thats a bit more stable than the 400g and 500 plastic ones that came out at launch because it looks more overstable than my fx-2's, I can however confirm the grippy underside of that disc (or "chalky" as he said) and its definately on purpose, I even tried splashing water on my hand to test the grip on forehand and it actually works.. it's the only disc I would forehand while wet although dry is still better.

@@Flakzor123 I have the FX2 in 750 in the OTB cybertooth stamp and it's rediculously OS, so much so that it's barely useable outside of a rare utility shot. On top of that, mine has an extremely sharp edge on the very bottom that makes it so I can't even attempt a backhand with it, can only forehand. Does your fx2 have that?
@@robbiemiles1430 The extreme overstability explains why it hyzers for Ezra, the first run ones I have in 400g and 500 plastic would probably pop up to flat a bit at that power (at least mine as they are no longer brand new)...as for sharpness on the inside, the inside of the rim is very sharp but that is not a problem for me. I expect it would be unthrowable if I tried to grip it looser and allowed my fingers to slide at all but I clamp down hard with my grip when I throw so its a non issue for me.
@@Flakzor123 Interesting, the edge probably isn't quite as sharp in other plastics too seeing as how the 750 is supposed to be more firm. I can throw it backhand after rubbing it quite a bit on carpet to get the edge down a notch, but there was no way to backhand it without doing that, regardless of how hard I clamp down.
Get some Kastaplast in your bag to try out too! A Stål would be great in this lineup.

The late turn on some of those discs is crazy. Never seen an OS controll driver fly quite like that. Most people see those thing go left immediately!

Yes, I realized just how much of a mere mortal I was when he said the Firebird was a "holds any line" disc that "flies straight" with a little fade at the end...takes a lot of power to make a Firebird act like a Teebird lol
@@superdriver777 well you have to take into account he was throwing a star one, which may have less backbone than champ, but is similar at lower speeds
Look at the arms on him lol not many people in the DG world are putting that much hurt on a disc, the guy is jacked!
The Animus is a great disc! Loving that and the new Pathfinder as well. Been throwing the Mantra for a while now so its good to have these two new discs to compliment it.

OTB is really good at describing the disc, I could tell that Ezra was throwing a rather domey (comparatively) firebird and a flatter felon. I have a flat top champion firebird that hooks way harder than any of my 3 felons. Just saying it’s worth knowing what you want and having a place to pick them up that is specific as possible without sending the disc too you 😂

I have mixed bag like you and I find myself putting a lot of discmania in. P2, Link, Sensei, Tactic, MD, guess I like their putters a lot 😁
I think they are all similar enough in flight that it is interesting the differences in the rim shapes. Where the parting line is, how much curve vs how flat the edges are etc.

Fireball is great for pumpin thumbers 👍 actually most flat and overstable nine speed discs are great thumber discs
The FD3 you threw here is in color glow plastic, and those guys with the swordsman stamp are definitely a bit flippier than your regular FD3:s. That said, I think you got the numbers spot on! I bag one of those myself, love 'em for backhand hyzers. If I'd get it to fly nearly 500ft I'd be soooo happy! 😄

You should try out a Kastaplast Stal. Not as beefy as some of these but still a great overstable disc. I use it for my OS utility fairway. Love that disc.

I bag the fireball for forehand flexs its really controllable also like to lay it down on a roller early and it can get distance and never wants to turn over.

Was hoping to see the Latitude 64 Explorer in the stack! Great throwing man, wish I was half as consistent.
I feel the explorer is a bit understable for this category
Also, you should get some kastaplast discs. Their plastic is super-highly rated even though they're barely making an effort to get in to the US market, and their discs are incredibly popular here in europe.
I think the firebird in champ plastic is similar to the Fireball and fx2, it just depends on the plastic for the firebird. I have a champ firebird and a 400g fx2 (comprable to star plastic, and should have the same stability as the 750 one you showed) and they have very similar fades to them but the fx2 glides further for me.
Plastic and runs definitely play a role in all of them
MVP molds all discs for ThoughtSpace and Mint Disc. They are all standard non-gyro molds. Animus is actually listed as 10 5 0 2 but looks less stable when Ezra throws it.

Really interesting I was looking at an fd3 myself I throw the fd already and have been throwing a c line thunderbird as my overstable disc but I much prefer Discmania than innova this gave me a good read on the flights loved the video!

The FD3 is a big step up in stability from the Thunderbird. If you are looking for a more transitional step in Discmania, try a PD...this is one of the best all around discs in the game. Overstable while still flexible with great glide.

Yoh might be surprised I’ve thrown my friends fd3s and it doesn’t fly to different from my champ Thunderbird I think it’s just my thunderbird because I used to have a domy one that was much less stable but the one I’m using now is flat as a board but I’ll look into the pd
That run of color glow ezra used in video is least stable run of fd3 and it has dome so gets more glide. Not beef cake like glow fd3 are.
That Animus looks sick. Wish I had the arm for a 10.5 speed.

I bought an Animus with your OTB code a while back but with how easily you throw it compared to me its shocking how much a huge difference in throw power makes. It seems quite stable/neutral to me with limited turn, but that seems to just be my beginner form. Always happy to support you though! You planning on doing a video on grip for driving in the future? Cause you can really belt stuff out there.

Hey Ezra! You should try some Kastaplast discs if OTB has any in stock. It is a swedish disc-company that makes their own molds and dont copy/mimmic every other disc. They are different, and therefore I think you should try them

It would be interesting to know what you would call useful or utility, and I would love to see you rip on them. My max drive with a destroyer is 450, I would love to see you challenge that with a nova and some tailwind. I think you could come closer than I’d like to believe lol

I recently got a titanium raptor at a tournament... I'm not terrible at throwing discs but I can't imagine the form and strength necessary to get it to turn when it's brand new... insane.
Dude how he throws a raptor like that is insane lol. Only way I can get one out past 300 is an accidental roll down hill lol. I use it like a longer zone or if I want that big skip.
