Some of the most vulnerable victims of the earthquakes are children. UNICEF is reporting that between Turkey and Syria, millions of them are in need of urgent help. Farah Nasser speaks with Dan Stewart of Save the Children about what help child survivors are receiving.

can you imagine the thousands of people we could have saved if the united nations really came together and sent thousands of workers world wide to help rescue others. there are people buried alive still hoping to be saved and they wont be saved because of our greed and our lack of unity. WE FAILED THEM AND OURSELVES.

I pray that God will please provide all of the victims with any and all possible things that they need. My heart is so sad and broken for these precious children, adults and their animals plus all everything that they lost. I wish that I could take all of their pain, hurt, fear and sadness away from them. I'm praying 🙏 for God to give them strength, guidance and protection. If they are seeking asylum why not take a cab or send the buses to LEGAL ports of entry? Because the US is a safe country and if they don't meet the criteria there why would they meet it here? Well, it is not so easy. People here wait at least more than a year to adopt a children if they are lucky. There are too many rules, they check your home and life. They check your financial situation, your health, your psychological situation They decide if you are able to care a child or not. First you get protective family And after adopt the child. For the foreigners, it is almost impossible.
I was wondering also about adopting one or two orphaned children. They all deserve a loving home. I live in the USA so I’m not sure how difficult that would be. ❤😢🙏
Earthquake area is huge but Turkey is a big country, we even didn't notice earthquake in Istanbul. There are so many orphanage in the cities of turkey outside earthquake area. First children is going to replace these places if they don't have any relatives alive . After that foster family and adoption proceedure that I mentioned start. 383.000 families already applying to be foster family for earthquake orphans currently(more than needed) . If you are determined to adopt, you should get in touch with related organization in your country first. International agreement allows foreigner to adopt from Turkey.
