👍🏻🏴🇺🇸 My father served on its sister ship the South Dakota ( SoDak) known as Battleship X when she and her sister ship Alabama served with the Royal Navy on distant cover for Arctic convoys. That was due to British battleship losses and refits just as our aircraft fleet carrier Victorious was loaned to the U.S. Navy in the Pacific due to your carrier losses, and renamed U.S.S.Robin. He was seconded from the Royal Navy’s Home Fleet at Scapa Flow to signal communications between both navy’s. I still have his Blue Nose Certificate signed by her Captain and the ship’s News sheets. Similarly I have a British 6 inch wooden waterline aircraft recognition model of her Class made to familiarise our Coastal Command aircraft. I have greatly enjoyed discovering your models many of which I made as plastic kits in the 1960’s. ✌️
Cheers
Great video!
Thanks
