- In this video I take my Orbea Gain D30 1X on a ride up into the Peak district. I planned some more testing hill climbs on this ride and was really pleased with how I coped with assistance from the e-bike. I got to see lots of spectacular scenery in the Peak District and the best part about climbs is the descents that follow.

Daryl,
I can not express in words how much I can relate to thees videos. I have been riding for many years. I noticed that I had been avoiding certain routes that include too many steep climbs. Last year I discovered your channel and you inspired me to check out a pedal assist e-bike. I my 70th birthday I bought one. Now I can go all over. Thanks Daryl 👍
Great video. My best mate has the Orbea Gain just like yours.
Need to try the hills here in Cornwall 😊😊
Very nice footage! Thank you!
Great stuff Daryl i enjoy all your vids.
Thank you. Glad you enjoy them.
Well done Daryl , you getting back up to speed again now & I bet your confidence has returned too
I definitely feel like my confidence is back to normal now. Thanks.
Great watchin these videos, I’m looking at buying an electric Orbea Gain soon! Think I’ll defo go for the hydraulic brakes version…..could u post some of your biking routes too? I’m from Congleton and looks like some of ur ride are fairly local 👍🏻👍🏻
Good footage but what 360 camera system are you using?
Does your Wahoo give you good average speed info. Mine doesn't because it takes into account every little stop and if I have a coffee, the forget it.
Enjoyed your ride in the Peak District, is the route available publicly somewhere ? as it looks like one I might try when I get the chance.
Hi Daryl, just wondering if u can complete the hills without any assistance? Is the bike still manageable/not too heavy?
I'm at age where I can get up everything, however, that time over the next 10 yrs will change I'm guessing.
I can hill climb without assistance. I did a video shortly after the one you commented on with a long hill climb that I didn’t use the motor for.
