- Possum hunting in New Zealand. Join us as we go on a night mission with the spotlight and the .22 LR for one of the most prolific pests in our country. On this episode we take Beauden, Sam's son to teach him about hunting and being safe around guns while on the hunt. It's a great night out and the crew manage a good haul of possums that they pluck and then sell and split the money with the new apprentice.

Great to see the little man getting his first taste of possum hunting and some $$$!
I’m surprised you guys don’t have a small kick-start battery pack, with all the awesome kit you’ve got.
We have one to take camping as my uncles truck always runs its battery flat, it’s USB charged and has plenty of kick to turn over a 12V battery.
Sweet rifle too, good accuracy on some of those long shots.
It would have been very handy on this hunt! Something to think about next time. Thanks for watching!

Dam I shot about 12 possums when I was over in NZ. Getting the black one mounted. We don’t get them in colours here. Another gift from Australia all them years ago hey 🤪

same thing happened to me. took a mate and his grandson out to introduce the young guy to hunting. last paddock before we needed to turn around and the battery died. hadn't even used the lights, just broken voltage regulator 🤦

I reckon carrying kids is great pack training. As they grow, you get stronger...at least that's the theory.
Haha yea I’ve often felt the same thing. Except when they get sick of being carried around and you are at the top of some hill and you still gotta get them back down somehow😅

There hasn’t been TB where we live for over a decade so it’s very low chance of contracting it but still a good idea to wear gloves probably
