    For me, I have been training mostly to fight off injury and stay on the mats. I'm 42 and fell into a sedentary lifestyles raising my kids and my body was weak in so many areas. I started doing yoga everyday and training jits 4 days a week with an emphasis on not getting injured - being warmed up before the warm ups. Finally I captured the Gold at a local Jits tournament. Now I am close to my blue belt and also received my yellow in Japanese Jiu jitus. I have a family and my kids train along side me. Now as they say you are not a champion unless you defend it. Time for 2 workouts a day - Mace - Kettlebell- yoga - 4 days of grappling maybe one day of Muay Thai
    God send me strength to become more 🙏🏼

    I love this video! It's short enough, it's clear, no confusing bs. Having said that I do think that "Train hard, recover harder" could've been more highlighted here as many people really don't recover hard enough. Yes, nutrition is a part of that but getting efficient sleep and having a recovery protocol is super important if you train twice a day! Some people might not need that though, i don't know :)

    This was really helpful. I’m a 13 year old soccer player that is trying to improve my technical ability as well as my speed, explosiveness, agility, and cardiovascular fitness. I try to do double days every day. Before school I’ll do a technical training session for 45 minutes and then do around 15 minutes of interval running for fitness on the treadmill. After school, usually I’ll have team training, but when I don’t I’ll do a gym workout consisting of Plyometrics and superset of exercises for the legs.

    Thanks for the video, it helps to determine whether I want to do a one a day or two a day. I did notice you mention "time blocking", and that is important. I am choosing a longer session in the morning (with a home gym) for 75 min total. 45 (cardio) min or 48 (lifting) min workout. If I need to do a 2 a day I need to break it up into two short sessions. But thanks for the video, it helped me figure out my consistency.

    In all weathers
    Not missing a session
    It’s called commuting by bike 🚲
    300 miles a month 30 mins per session, intervals, sprints, relaxed, speed, you can do it all
    When the winter comes just use ice spiked tyres and the icy 🥶 roads are no longer an issue
    No sitting in a car and it’s free exercise time as you have got to get to work anyway.
    Can mix this with running and gym work 👍👍

    • @anthonybrace6039
      @anthonybrace6039 Před rokem +3

      No. Doing the singular run for the distance of both shorter runs together will help your cardiovascular health and endurance much more. Running your heart at 130-150 bpm for 1hr is going to train that endurance and push the adaptation much more than doing two runs of 30 minutes. You might get better at running for 30 minutes and make gains to be able to run a bit longer, but only up to a certain point. You're not training your heart/body/mind to push past that 30 minute mark consistently and it's something you're going to have to do eventually to make further progress.

      Not exactly true. I work 12 hour shifts, 5-6 days a week, yet still find time to train before work and after work. Discipline and commitment are what I rely on, as I unfortunately have no money and a job 😂
