    Thought the Dutch lads did really well today. They've both been pretty inconsistent this season but their calmness on the ball and ability in the duel allowed us to build and find rhythm. Grav's goal was a pearler too

    I liked Klopp’s changes they worked, though I did say these changes needed to come in for Crystal Palace game…

    We need to play players who are in form instead of the big names. We could bring back 'Captain Chaos' on the wing where he's much more effective too.

    • @peacelove8395
      @peacelove8395 Před 24 dny

      So you said pay players who are in form and then in the same breath you have the audacity to say put "captain chaos" on the wing..... who himself is in terrible form.
      Make it make sense.
      Just because he's better playing there than through the middle, He's not better on the wing than Gakpo, Diaz or Jota.
      "Captain Chaos" needs to take a University course on the Offside Rule and a secondary course on Decision making.
      Upon graduation of both courses he can start games again.

    • @TerribleEnglish
      @TerribleEnglish Před 24 dny

      @@peacelove8395 Make it make sense? Because he's out of form playing through the middle, where, as you say, he runs offside all the time and is less effective. I think he is more effective on the left than the other 2 because he's pacey and unpredictable. I'd have Diaz on the right too.

    • @peacelove8395
      @peacelove8395 Před 24 dny

      @@TerribleEnglish I also said he has appalling decision making which is a fundamental key ingredient for being effective on the wing. Knowing when to pass and when to shoot, knowing when to lay the ball off versus taking the situation on yourself. Knowing when to aim a cross at the far post versus going nearside, Knowing when to hold your run versus driving from outside to inside. Nunez's poor decision-making has absolutely nothing to do with the position he plays in and everything to do with his poor understanding of the game at this level which is why they say he is instinctive which is a pleasant way of saying zero-ball knowledge or zero footballing IQ
      Just having Pace is not enough. He is not a natural dribbler and can not beat a man 1 v 1, the way Gakpo and Diaz can. He relies on bursting into open areas which gets nullified by a team playing a low block.
      "Chaos" is not even a footballing metric which goes to show how desperate fans like you are to create a positive narrative for a guy who has missed more clear-cut chances than any other player across the top 5 leagues in Europe.

      @@peacelove8395 I don't agree that his decision making is any worse than the others, especially Salah's. They're collectively awful at that if you ask me.

      He's only got 5 games left, doesn't give him much time to find his form. Mo never got injured, but that hamstring tear in Afcon, has had a big influence on him

      I found what we didn't have before at the number 8.
      And that was pace. Apart from Szobolai, we didn't have anyone with pace in midfield. Szobo himself can't play all games, he's tired.
      So now, with Elliott and Grav combined we finally have what weve been missing, we now have Pace again !

  • @redmed10
    @redmed10 Před 25 dny

    Until we get a higher and consistent basic level of play that we can drop back on we will always be the same. Until our first touch and passing improves especially at speed but at walking pace as well we will always have these dips when everything falls apart. This may be what the new manager will offer and it will make us more consistent but then perhaps at the expense of our unpredictability. At this level its a fine line. Salah until recently could take 6 attempts to score a goal and we would be fine with it. Darwin could have the same 6 chances but not get that goal and that isnt acceptable. We have lots and lots of stats but sometimes you just have to watch the to see what's going on.

    Salah was playing absolute toilet do he was dropped for this match. His previous record is wholly irrelevant if he can’t complete a dribble, a shot on target or even a pass. Add to that his work rate has plummeted. Klopp was right to drop him. If anything it was 2 matches too late.
