If you want to buy I suggest you contact me directly as I'm quite knowledgeable on these products and can help you spec. and order what you need
Right now they have fantastic deals on Victron (A famous and well established brand) 3kw and 5kw Multiplus hybrid solar charger inverters
5kw is fine for a typical house
This is what you need to attach solar panels and a battery to to run and entry level off grid power system
KitOffGrid also supply up-cycled EV (electric car like Tesla for example) batteries instead of more expensive and limited alternatives
    Regarding the interview
Will contacted me recently and dropped by to check out our off grid community plans, in a camper with his wife and dog. After some discussion it seems like he wants to be really remote so he probably won't be joining us. Anyway nice guy and yet another discovering Romania for the first time and loving it

Quick tip before moving to Romania if you don't want people to dislike you. Do not call the rural life "primitive" Is traditional rather. Romanians kept true to their traditions and often would argue that it is a better way of living. More sustainable and healthier, which is why you might find Romanian food produce is actually fresher, tastier and better quality than the produce found in most Western EU countries.

In Romania we have a saying regarding authorities: "spunem ca ei și facem ca noi". Which means that "we are saying like they want it but we are doing it like we want it".
This principle has definetly some bad parts as Romanians aren't really known for respecting the laws but on the hand it is extremly hard for a government to become authoritarian and to control the society too much because people will simply not accept it. They managed to do it after WW2 with the Soviet tanks but the guy ended up on the wall 1989 with AK47 sounds around him.

People who want to escape mass hypnosis still can do that in romania. You guys should have seen the 90s in romania, if you think now it's free, which it is in a lot of aspects , in the 90s there was 10 time more freedom, imagine today's sentiment but energized to the 10 fold, you could truly taste life then, and the only toxic ones were some politicians that you didn't interact with. Bbq every weekend everywhere in nature you could lay eyes one, the forests were full of people spontaneously gathering, there were even less regulations than today , creativity in arts was flourishing after the bottleneck from the commies was broken, kids running around everywhere screaming playing soccer basket biking everything, they were also partying a lot, you could truly drink and emerse in true life. Don't get me wrong, people still worked hard , I'm not describing hedonism, or abuse like in the west, but people truly loved to live. Now, in the present that energy is still there , but in a more relax tranquil kinda way, but still the same optimism and love of life I see in people here, sure with a healthy dose of self loathing, but it's beautifull.
