How good is this line-up?!
We’ve got Mat in the Ferrari 296 GTB, and he’s about to go head-to-head against a McLaren 765 LT & a Porsche 911 GT2 RS!
So let’s see how these incredible supercars compare to each other. Starting with the Ferrari, it’s powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 coupled with an electric motor which combines to produce 830hp and 740Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels only, and the dry weight of the car is 1,570kg. If you were looking to pick up one of these heroic hybrids, it would cost you around £242,000.
Next up we have the McLaren. It comes in at a higher cost than the Ferrari, with the price starting from £280,000! Despite this, it’s actually down on power, with its 4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing (you guessed it…) 765hp! It also puts down 800Nm, and this power is sent to the rear wheels. It’s the lightest car here, though, tipping the scales at 1,339kg.
Then finally we have the Porsche. It’s packing a 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can deliver 700hp and 750Nm to the rear wheels. It weighs in at 1,470kg, and when new it cost around £207,000. But if you were looking to buy one today, expect to easily pay £300,000+!
So how will this one play out - will the Ferrari’s power propel it to victory? Or could the McLaren or Porsche snatch it? There’s only one way to find out… LET’S RACE!

Do people really rev their cars on their drive to annoy the neighbours ?
It's about driving, not reving and I say that with a tuned MX5 with hardly any back box etc.

@@zakelwe No people don't sit on their drive revving, trying to annoy the neighbours.
But in the context of a drag race it's great to hear the engine's rev out.

I really like Daniel!!! He is such a great guy with such a happy and relaxed personality...please use him more often.
I like him too but he doesn't seem to give any effort with the race so you don't know if the car he's driving is slow or if it's Daniel not trying. As he said, "I'm just having fun 😂". I actually wanted to see how these cars perform.
@@kcopara1seeing how well he launched and how he stayed ahead for a bit a couple times, he's definitely pushing that GT2 RS, but at the end of the day that car is a track car with a huge wing creating a lot of Downforce and causing DRAG. I'm not saying the GT2 would've won against these two in a straight line but it would've definitely performed better had it been designed for this type of performance. That car is geared and powered for the nurburgring in Germany.
Whenever the race is epic, there's always a car that breaks down
Wonder if the le mans car will fare any better
@@pigeonpoo1823 yep. Add also NASCAR GARAGE 56 car into this drag race.
Yea there's a car that breaks down when they bring modified cars, iv never seen a factory car break down 4 times in a video on this channel.
@@CITRUS-- It didn't break down 4 times; the hybrid system malfunctioned and they kept using the car without repairing it (that would require a visit to the dealer). So, technically, it broke down once and they were lucky the car actually kept going.

The most astonishing test was the brake test. The 296 is in another league when it comes to stopping performance.
lol
Matt started slowing down a little early, you can see it just before they stop

@@EVANGELOSS54 i'm sensing some undue irony, price wise and consideringbother things the 296 is the way to go bud
Wrong! The Ferrari cuts power. So, there's is no way of telling it actually won the brake test. Also, Carwow's brake test isn't a reliable way of determining how well a car performs at braking. Why? Because all the drivers may not begin pressing on the brake at the same time and applying the same amount of pressure.
Little advice for the videos, when it comes to the break test why not have a drone hover above the vehicles once they stop and have a line to see who stopped where rather than getting out of the car
Get film at an active airport/runway so they probably don't have the permission to do so
@@minionz916 at that point just have a go pro at the end of the runway or a camera on the side so the others can review the footage and tell the drivers who won
@@jamesblade4349 that have a camera on the side but thw problem with braking is u never know where will the car's' stop unlike the 1/2 mile or the 1/4 Mile dats why the have camera crew with physical cameras and matt just gets out and checks them himself while showing us the angles via the camera

Daniel is so slow in all his races
@@aidansouligny1908 🤣He's just enjoying the moment
It is astonishng how fast the 765LT is. The 296 beat the SF90 from a roll in another video, and for the 765 to stay with, and maybe even pull up top on the 296 is just crazy.
Thus comment showing how stupid the naming of the cars is
The 296 was probably not working properly. Also, other testers have shown that the SF90 is actually slightly faster than the 296 GTB from 0-200; (SF90 6.5 seconds - 296 GTB 7 seconds). Therefore, those roll racing results from Carwow seem perplexing.. Also, the 765LT is meant to rival these Ferraris, so I would expect it to perform equally well..
@@zix_zix_zix very strange results, there are several test in which the SF90 absolutely destroys the 765lt in roll races, and there is no way the 296gtb is faster than the SF90
@@zix_zix_zix the 296 wasn’t using all of its power
I suspect the 296 was a bit broken which would be impressive if it pulled such weight from a non properly functioning car. Also the 296 doesn’t really make 800hps, it mainly makes the ICE Hps thus its less powerful than the 765. It’s just that it’s makes good torque through the entirety of its rev range to pull ahead quickly. But when it’s fully shifts to ICE then the 765 is faster
Yani cracks me up. You guys are living the dream.
Races like this really make my heart pump, so awesome.

I am with you brother actually the mclaren is the fastest because the ferrari did 10.4 seconds but the mclaren 765lt when driver by mat in another video did the standing quarter mile in 10.0 seconds so you see bro that the mclaren is the fastest

296 has to be one of the best 'sleeper' supercars on sale. No big wings, no aggressive aero, no loud color or jagged body lines to show it means business. But the moment you push the pedal down the car disappears
It runs away....for 10 seconds until the hybrid commits suicide
@@theforerunnerreclaimer At least it doesn't catches on fire like McLarens....
@Gorge Jorga don't know man did you see recently a ferrari enzo on fire🤣🫠
Calling a Ferrari a "sleeper", lol. The first Ferrari I saw in my life was a 355 back in the 90's. It also had no big wings, no aggressive aero and, still, you could see it from a mile away. It was a night-and-day contrast from the regular Volkswagens and Fiats that were common in the streets, and even other super cars like Corvettes and 911s would simply disappear next to the 355. There's no such thing as a sleeper Ferrari, kid.

Lamborghini Egoista (2013)
Lamborghini marked its 50th birthday by creating what was surely one of the most outrageously styled cars ever made. The Egoista (Italian for ‘selfish’) was a single-seater with a 592bhp 5.2-litre V10; much of its design (inside and out) was inspired by aviation design and construction. As a result, the cabin was more like the cockpit of a fighter jet, swathed in carbonfibre and aluminium.
