- We all know that electric vehicles can accelerate extremely quickly in a straight line, but leave it to #Porsche to develop the first EV that drives like a race car. We flew out to Spain to experience the first-ever 2025 #PorscheTaycanTurboGT on a racetrack and Porsche will offer the #TaycanTurboGT in two forms, the lighting #WeisachPackage deletes the rear seat and reduces the curb weight by 175 lbs compared to the standard model. It now holds the title as the fastest electric vehicle at Laguna Seca and the Nurburgring.

@@latroyrobinsonit’s pretty bad in the UK for whatever reason, but not as bad elsewhere. It’s also mainly the higher end turbo S models that are getting hit the hardest. With that said, it’s not because of the car itself, it’s what’s going on with the market. They will level out. Me personally, I can easily afford a new one, but I always buy 1 to two years old. I have no problem with the depreciation lol! Even if it drops a little more, I don’t really care. Cars aren’t investment financially. They are only an investment to the smile it puts on my face!

I just drove a 2024 EQS AMG and it was fantastic driving-wise (compared to my EQS 580). I can't imagine how this Porsche pocket rocket is. 230k is a very tough pill to swallow, however, if you wan't the very ultimate, it is what it is.
I'm not yet an EV owner , but given the Porsche price as tested, the cost of 238k. I am seriously looking at the model S plaid now under 100k. Personally, I've never really considered tracking a car. Stoplight to Stoplight is all I need.
Any EV which got a higher output will do for you - try some for driving comfort and your profile against each other, thats the fun part of a decision!
Then why even bother with the S Plaid when you can get the Model 3 Performance?
Lol stoplight to stoplight? No one sees a tesla and tries too race one. It's usually a Karen or old man in one. I don't even notice them on the road or let alone "let me race it"..
Just shows how good Porsche GT engineers are, this is heavier than a Model S plaid with less power and outruns it on a track. Also Lucid Air sapphire is 250k so it's actually more... Model S plaid plus inbound?

I find it very strange that the top of the line Turbo GT doesn’t come with the sport chrono package as standard. If they’re targeting it as their most track oriented Taycan, then why not include it as standard?

For the low price of $260k. More than double the price of a Tesla Model S plaid with every option ticked. If money is no object sure get the Sapphire, but since its performance is the same as the Plaid’s I’ll gladly sacrifice a few luxury items to save $150,000…

Had the same thought, but doing it this way is significantly cheaper than designing a whole new 2 door EV. Weight savings are probably pretty minimal vs. just having 4 seats though.

This is the ultimate EV track car but at $89K the Model S Plaid is more reachable for most people.
Gotta love the way Porsche charges more yet gives you less. A four door car with only two seats. So why even have 4 doors? Isn't that added weight for no purpose? I don't get it.

The Taycan is an extremely solid build vehicle. Lucid just can't deliver the same amount of stiffness and solidity of a Taycan. This of course is also a reason for the weight of the Taycan Turbo GT.
Also "build quality" of a Lucid.... Oh my god 🤦♂. Just forget it dude! It's the same crap "quality" as you get with a Tesla!

I find it Ridiculous that "People Say" electric car cars are fast "In a Straight Line", when the electric cars they are referring to are Family cars, daily driver electric cars, cars designed to drive to work and take the kids to soccer practice. If electric manufactures and build electric sports cars, they will perform far better then their ICE equivalent cars.
