Many thanks for getting in touch the switch I got direct from Maplins shop at Merryhill shopping centre. But I am sorry to say Maplins have now stopped trading, all that I can recommend is maybe some kind of electrical shop selling micro switches such as curry’s or a computer outlet.
Hi there, thank you for sharing this video, I have the exact same issue! Could you please give me the link of the Switch you baught at Maplin? Thanks you in advance, best regards Ibbe
I've got a similar car. Boot keeps getting stuck and then will be ok again few weeks later. Happens on and off. Garage couldn't sort it out. Sure battery is draining because of this problem
Bit of a pain but disconnect the power to the boot lock and see how it goes. Also do what I did put a meter on the battery to see any battery drain. Hope that the video has helped.

Useful information but it would be better if you could get even more basic on the diagnostic side by showing the actual connections for the meter.
I have just bough one of theys for a run around and was wondering has it got a timing belt or chain ?
Good old chain, just get in and drive it.

@@orangewatch4488 can you recommend any good meters for battery
Any type of multimeter, but make sure it can do at least 10 amps to measure current drain. Argos do good ones cheap and effective.
I have a different kind of problem I really have to slam my boot door in order for it to lock ,anybody got any ideas how to fix that thanks
Adjust the boot catch
@@orangewatch4488 thank you how do I locate the adjuster part
I have a feeling that there is no adjustment, its a block of wood and a hammer, if you have to slam it, nock the body catch up.
Okay I'll definitely give this ago thanks
