We are not baffled. We know they are bad at their jobs across the board. They said they view their job as growing the game in the US. The USMNT coach’s job is to WIN a World Cup. That is their only job. Any other answer is wrong. Their process has NEVER selected a World Cup champ.
The US’ best finish ever was 90 years ago when we finished 3rd. In 2026 the Cup is on our soil. Our focus should be to better that achievement and we are hiring a guy who is openly happy to lose in the first game of the knock out stage. Berhalter Out.

I agree but ask yourself if you was a big manager who has the wins, the silverware what we need for the USA. Would u be able to coach your way how you set the lineup and who gets in or would you let the fans tell you what you should do, who you should bring and how it's supposed to lineup despite the young star player is indeed injured prone who rarely gets and lengthy playing time games, and the parents will scold you for either not putting him in the starting lineup or whatever to make him look good and not be in the Shadow of Pulisic

they were never getting Ancelotti, but why not push for Vieira, no one expects the US to win 2026, all they need at this stage is to make sure they get out of the group stages and maybe reach the semis, he wasnt terrible at Palace, captained the invincibles so you know he's no-nonsense. I would think there's something about being managed by an ex-player whose level no player in that dressing room has ever touched, he'll command respect and just might get them playing a little smarter against the big teams.
