Why was Cremaschi, Gutierez and Brady left off the roster?
Chicago didn't choose to release Guitierez or Brady. Not sure about Cremanschi, probably similar situation or coaching staff wanted to look at other players because they know what he brings to the table.
Clubs aren't required to release players since international break since most European leagues are in the middle of their seasons.

The problem is that Miami and Seattle released Callender and Atencio so there's no reason for them not to release Cremanschi and Vargas and a lot of those younger players aren't going to make the olympics. I haven't seen anything about the fire not releasing their players. This was always going to be an mls heavy roster since clubs aren't forced to release players but anyone that isn't on the u23s or guys like sands, morris, and miles don't need to be here because they're not going to contribute to the future of the program. I'd be fine with jesus since he's still b team and young, but with guys like Shaq Moore, we're not going to learn anything about them playing Slovenia and are going to become the next crop of guys Gregg calls up for 3 years despite poor performances with the national team.
I would’ve loved to at least know whether or not Brady or Guti were contacted and Chicago said no or not. Also this shows how weak our American striker depth is in mls given that I couldn’t think of anyone besides Gregg’s favorites from last cycle that could’ve came into this camp from mls. And I think a 3rd guy he should’ve called from Europe was Wynder given that he isn’t playing with the Benfica U23’s either so he could get time this camp to mesh with the Olympic guys
This roster & Camp Cupcake should be exclusively for U20 & U23 players in preparation for the upcoming Olympics!!!

What is the point of Camp Cupcake? It should be used to prepare for upcoming tournaments. Since our A team is not available, we should have brought in our U-23’s!
FIFA doesn't require clubs to release players for this friendly window, so it's hard to put together a team. Normally the January friendlies are used to look at young/fringe players. Most of these are younger players since the Olympics are soon.
Only the summer leagues like the mls arnt playing right now
so we only can call MLS players
Most other national teams arnt having a camp anyways

Gregg, you failed with this roster. Unacceptable for you to call "a younger roster" and only 13 of your 25 players are Olympics eligible. Why are you not calling up better players? Why are we calling up:
Shaq Moore
Ian Murphy
Sean Zawadski
Jackson Ragen
Nkosi Tafari
Brian White
What the actual hell do you gain from this?
