David G Well he did grow up with a golden spoon in his mouth. His dad had to fight, literally and figuratively to get to the top. Jr had all the help in the world. I think he never had that real hunger his dad had growing up. Chavez jr has never not been rich he doesnât know the desperation to want a better life. If he loses or wins he knows that he will still be the son of a rich man. This loss doesnât affect his life in any significant way.

JeremySpaceInvaders I agree he was born with a platinum spoon in his mouth. I also agree with the notion that even if he loses heâll still be the son of a millionaire. However, this is ostensibly more than just a check for him. (Iâm extremely empathetic) It seems as if he wants validation from his father. Sure he might not be the best fighter there ever was, but he can still put up a fight against some real tough brawlers (More than most of us in this comment section could ever). Watching this interview it almost seems as if Jr. wants to cry. Watching this interview his bottom lip looks a bit curled which implies heâs trying hard not to cry. To Jr. This isnât about the fight; itâs about being accepted by his father.
