Interior decorations in Captain Scarlet are 1960s, but the orange, beige and brown contrasted with grey is very 1970s, too.
It shows up in 'The Shining' 1979, as well as 'Wonder Woman 1984'.
Even by the high standards of the show, I thought the model work here was especially good. Is it just a coincidence this icy episode appeared in time for Titanic Day?
This episode is a follow up to *Flight 104* (Earth's returns to Mars) and this is the only time Captain Black appears but never seen on screen.
Ok, I'll grab the Father Christmas Letters some time. Another slick episode, like you say. I think the whole series was shot in '67.
It's probably a good thing Father Christmas never showed up. What if the Mysterons had targeted him and used his replacement to put something more lethal into children's stockings?

There was a version of that idea (sans Mysterons) in an episode of an old British private eye series.

There's quite a bit of 'actor' reuse in these series. The Hot Spot Tower controller was previously seen as the Lunar Controller. I'd love to see your interior decorating eye analyze Joe 90 too.
So there were elevators to get to the lower control room of Hotspot Tower but not an EMERGENCY STAIRCASE as well in case of the elevators going out of service for whatever reason?!

Great episode, set design, models and concepts, of course I still don't like the 'innocent deaths'/too easy. I'm glad how it turned out but 'No Spoilers'. These 'very important places' always never seem to have any or a lot of Security despite their importance...Have fun.
