And in the chorus when it goes “I’m so sick of this fake love, fake love, fake love” the first past of the chorus, they do three separate moves. “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil” so they cover their eyes, ears and mouths. Which is really cool. ❤

All of this is tied to the BU. None of it is real, it’s part of the story. There’s highlight reels that you should watch as well. Each boy has something happen to them. And Jin is the main character who helps them. RM is paired with Taehyung. Jimin is paired with JHope. And Suga is paired with JK. Jin travels through different timelines to try to save each of them. But each time he travels, something different happens and the outcomes are different. It’s quite a long and very detail heavy story. But it’s very interesting and they use so many real life situations (mental health, abuse, poverty, social issues, young love, finding yourself etc.) the boys are happy when they’re together but when they’re apart, bad things happen. They piece things together with books, movies and other things philosophically to create this giant universe. There’s many many small details you will see over and over again that are very important with the different timelines and outcomes. Since it’s been a thing since their debut, there’s a lot to learn, watch and piece together. I suggest after you watch some of the highlight reels, you watch XCeleste’s explanation video which helps tremendously. And never be afraid to ask questions! As an Army who found them in 2015, I still have questions and am confused with some things. But it gets clearer I promise! Then you’ll be mind blown and appreciate their music and messages even more! ☺️💜

There's a clip of Jimin singing Fake Love at (i think) Wembley. It's when he's singing the chorus SCREAMING at the top of his lungs, putting his whole heart and soul into the words, like "FAKE LOVE! FAKE LOVE!" and it basically cause army to be like "WHO HURT YOU!?"

A couple things that personally relate (song not BU) are the scenes of Jimin, in the room, where the floor is almost painted over, like he is painted into a corner and the one of V in the hall because all the cell phones are lit I up on the wall but the picture frames are empty, no real people just social media.

I love this format. It really puts everything together. I wish that BTS and this song was around when I was very young. How many of us would have avoided heartbreak if we had not tried to remake, reinvent or reimagine ourselves for someone else just to make a relationship work. I love that the phrase upside down says “I’m fine”. We are fine and enough just the way we are. It’s a beautiful song and one of my favourites. I had never seen this extended version before but it’s fantastic.

Fun fact : This song is one of the songs that kpop trainees perform to show their performing abilities. I've watched a survival show called i-land the trainees were struggling so hard to do V's parts even tho they're tenors they were able to do Jimin and Jin high notes but they struggled with Taehyung's parts .they said the notes were too high for them that some of them got eliminated because of it so imagine V's struggles he's literally a baritone , BTS vocal coach said that during fake love era taehyung was trying his best to go as high as the others and he did well .

30:02 yes, that army yelling Fake love back. Every title track and some of bside have fan chants. Usually label publishes lyrics with fan chants - inserts for fans to shout at particular moment. So you will hear them a lot

jimin is also easy to point out in dancing videos i always recognize his fluent and sharp movements it´s so elegant when he dance. where j-hope kinda talk to the people in his movements and also when he raps he looks directly at you. jimin more flirts with the camera and goes into him self and express what he feels. in fake love you can feel his sadness it´s mind-blowing. and i feel jimin is holding back when he dance in a group because he immediately stands out if he goes all out. it happened in blood sweat and tears all the fans and members was in chock at how amazing he was. all members have moments where they shine either when they sing or dance. this song i feel like was a JK song because he kinda was the link between all of them. there in airplane pt 2 and mic drop it´s j-hopes song. jimin is the best performer i have ever seen he is amazing live but in mv he has to blend in.

Since it's MMA 2018 week Idol must be in here at some point. I reeeally want to advocate for watching XCeleste's explanation video as well as DKDKTV's. That's because while the latter concentrates on the cultural aspects, the first one concentrates on all the BTS related details (XCeleste's BTS knowledge is absolutely insane!). That also means that they hardly overlap which gives you a more nuanced picture of this important song. 💜

Yes there is a fictional storyline that runs through many of their MV's called the Bangtan Universe or BU. The storyline doesn't connect to the lyrics of the songs necessarily, just the imagery. Jimin's seizures are part of the fictional storyline. You kind of jumped in to the middle of the story so it will be hard for it to make much sense to you. ...It's pretty complex. Everything xCeleste was talking about was fictional. BigHit has made such a detailed and complex storyline from very early on with so many hidden clues everywhere. They have a team of choreographers now (and also use outside choreographers), but in the early days it was their current performance director Son Sun Deuk who created the dances and oversaw practices. Fake Love was choreographed by Keone Madrid. Tae can hit the high notes too even though he is a Baritone. You should hear him in one of his solo songs Stigma...wow. In the part where Suga goes down the line and each of the guys grab at each other, there was a live where RM accidentally ripped JK's shirt wide open....hilarious. It's unbelievable how they can pull off such stable vocals while still doing intense choreo. Live performances are my favourite too....I like them better than the studio versions. Thanks for reacting.

As a metal guy I really think you would like this metal cover of Fake Love by Lies Behind Your Eyes. BTS actually filmed a CZcams video of them watching covers people had made of BTS songs. They were really impressed and there was some commentary that they should do it that way. I cannot recall if it was Hobi with the comment but given the metal in More it would be interesting to speculate if a seed was planted. The link appears to be broken but if you search BTS Fake Love metal it comes right up.
The music you asked about is from the Love Yourself highlight reel.

That piano song in theory video's background is on Hightlight Reel of BTS first, and then same piano was on intro of Tear by BTS
This kinda 'stadium' live performance reduces the volume of the microphone during the mixing process. You can often see the difference between watching it in person and the live streaming or DVD recording. The sound of the audience is so loud and strong that it seems like they are mixing the live volume down to make the best of the singer's voice. In addition, the larger the size of the concert hall, the longer the delay of the sound of the audience on the third floor or higher. Therefore, hope you remind that the sound of the audience and live sounds are smaller on DVD(HD+ streaming) than on-site fancam.

Understanding the lyrics is essential to appreciating so much about the guys themselves ! The guy who brought them together, insisted from the beginning that the group should write their own songs from their own experiences because he said he thought the 7 guy's generation (the youth) needed a group who'd speak for them & how they feel about things. Actually most people think that from "I need you" to the recent "Yet to Come" all the Korean based MVs have a continuing story. Be aware that all the charcters in the MV are fictitious. So no RMs father is not sick and he does not work to pay for his family, Suga did not have a mother who died in a fire but he loves his piano, Jin's family is wealthy but not so much so that they sent him to US, J-Hope has a wonderful family so no his mother did not leave him off at an amusement park, Jimin does not have seizures nor did he see someone die, V does not have an abusive father actually they are farmers and Jungkook does not get bullied except that one time in a variety show called flower boys (or something makes me mad thinking about it).
All of what you saw was about the BTS Universe that actually starts with their first album '2 Cool 4 Skool'. They (fictional they) meet at school in detention for being late and talk about their dreams from that point on they (fictional they) tell their story thru song and video and what you are listening to is Suga's song "First Love" it is a rap but the music behind it is what you heard in xCelest's video.

There is no letter ‘v’ in Korean so Jin is singing, “Fake lub” and yes, the audience is shouting, “Fake love!” back at them. As you now know this is all BU, none of it is real except that SUGA had a piano when he was young and it’s his prize possession. It’s his first love. He’s a really good pianist. Jimin used to sing in a more gritty way in the early days but generally now he sings in the way in which he is most comfortable. Have you heard him rapping? He doesn’t do it often but look for, ‘Tony Montana’ where he raps with SUGA, ‘Ddaeng’, where the vocal line take over from the rap line (great fun to watch) and ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ from Day 2 of Sowoozoo where he raps Becky G’s part. In most dance practice videos you’re seeing the final version but you can find ones where they are working moves out. We got a new one today of them practising for the Grammys czcams.com/video/Hr1OSHf3S2Q/video.html. It’s a great insight into how much input they have into refining the choreography. In that case they had to rework things because Jin was injured after they had already started rehearsing that routine and JK and J-Hope missed a lot of the rehearsals because they had Covid. Son Sungdeuk is their dance director who does a lot of their choreo but they bring people in such as Sienna Lalau, Brian Puspos and Nick Joseph. The backup dancers will also help them learn the moves. Thanks again for a great reaction, John.

I feel connected to Fake Love to the point it makes me a little emotional because I can relate it to my current relationships in life. Pretending to be happy to not worry those around you. Depression can be a heck of a thing haha. You may love someone but it might be the wrong kind of love, if you admit to it, your entire life can fall apart over it. Goes hand in hand with the "Fake it till ya make it"

Oh and also, RM said in an interview once, that since Kpop idols don't use instruments onstage, they use dance to show the musicality in the performance. Their bodies are the instruments. And I live how you hype Jin alot. He's my bias.

BTS performed a song called Perfect Man. It is a cover song but the performance is so fun to watch. They all performed beautifully but JK and Jimin shined so bright in it. Jimin even shows off his little growl while singing. RM could not make it to that performance so J-Hope stepped up and did the rap which was all in English and he crushed it!!

I highly recommend a scream-metal cover of this song on CZcams by "Lies Behind Your Eyes", which I believe is a Florida-based band.... They've done the best BTS cover BY FAR, because 1) these absolute KINGS learned all the Korean lyrics instead of making up their own English lyrics like most cover groups do; and 2) it's a killer cover, one that even blew BTS away when they heard it. JK said he wanted to go see them live, and Suga said he'd love it if someday all the members learned enough instruments to play their own song like that, too

Thank you, great that you loved the song, the mv, the explanation, the dance practice. I love watching the dance practices because I can see clearly the whole group. In the live performances the camera usually follows the person singing so you miss what the others are doing. I can think of some reasons why their dance performances are so next-level: a) several years of living and working together and having such a great group dynamic; b) relentless determination to be the best, therefore hours and hours of practice, plus a few more hours for Jin; c) their choreographer is a creative genius; and most importantly, d) the laser beam of J-hope's attention. They do the practice, review it on the monitors and critique, do the practice again, review again, repeat until they are satisfied. A memorable clip of J-hope in dance teacher mode shows him demonstrating the steps while doing the count. The steps included a tumbling move and J-hope's count didn't even hitch. You should watch some of their earliest songs, I love the fierce looks on their baby faces and Jimin has a raspy growl that is so cute. In the same way that you recognise J-hope by his moves even without seeing his face, I recognise Jin's lines by the quality of his voice in all their different nuances.

My favorite performance of this is still the very first time they performed it live. It was at the BBMAs and the song was released just a couple days before but ARMY still came up with a totally cool fanchant to go along with it. This performance was AMAZING!! They sang and danced so hard for this American awards show and showed why ARMY believes in them so much. I was so proud of them. I still have stars in my eyes when I remember that performance!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Man you are deeeeeeeep in the BU storyline (although out of MV order) and don't even realize just how much you have already seen now. If I were you I would stop now and go back to the beginning and watch the BU music video list in order first, THEN watch any explanation/theory videos such as XCELESTE last. Half the fun of the BU is trying to figure out what it all means and how it connects. XCELESTE videos assume that you've already seen the music videos, prologue etc and she fills in some of the blanks using various BTS resources to connect the dots and give her theory. So right now you're watching a bunch of major spoilers since you haven't started the BU journey from the beginning yet.

There are layers upon layers of connections to all symbols and moments, and this video does a really good job of scratching that first surface.
For instance -- the flower that Jin tried to protect also is linked to him protecting the members (the WHOLE story line is about their connection) and the members being represented as the petals in other videos.

These are theories based on the storylines from their universe that have run throughout many of their music videos for years. Jhope didn’t get abandoned with a snicker and jimin doesn’t have a seizure disorder, V didn’t kill anyone 😂. I know so many ARMY who were new fans who thought this really happen to them in real life it’s actually cute
