Forgive me or not, Roscoe. You already know...if you've seen 'BTS Guide by Taylor Marie', that Kookie is their 'main dancer and on point - in the middle of ALL their Live/video/performances.'. And I remember back when (You 'learnt' that Jung Kook was nicknamed 'Kookie) .Having watched your reactions (throughout the yrs). You 'learnt' his 'Nickname' from Army.
So in said vid below.. I find your 'shock/surprise'....disingenuous. Sir. 1st time seeing 'Fake Love' and it's other interpretations/live performances, which hit /since 2016? And is The Number One Song - back then - which introduced BTS ( the US Army. To the World? If you are now seeing this? Pretty sure I saw you cover 'Fake Love'.......yrs ago.
If not? If you're trying to do a 'Re Do'? For present 'Baby Army'? Kudos. As a West Indian 'Army Mom' since 2016........I saw YOU....yrs ago. Cover this vid. And my memory...don't lie. Sir. Wow. I am really surprised by your comment. And disappointed. The way you use the 'Old School ARMY' title... shame on you.
1.) This video was recorded a few months ago and stayed hidden away on Patreon as part of the BU since I didn't want spoilers from people. I wanted to experience the BU through my eyes and figure things out for myself organically.
2.) I have not watched the BTS Guide by Taylor Marie you mentioned. I don't know why that is required. Additionally, if Jungkook is the main dancer, I have NEVER been aware of this fact. In my mind, Hobi being the dance leader would be one of the mains that we see traversing the front often. But I have always said that BTS does a great job of rotating the guys across the front without one really "seeming" like the lead.
3.) This is THE first time I watched these videos. I deliberately stayed away from every video that was BU-related (unless I stumbled upon one early in my journey and didn't even know what the BU was. IE. Epiphany) for the reasons mentioned in comment #1.
4.) The reason you are hearing this "narrative" is because I am trying to decode the storyline of the BU through just the videos. In order. No spoilers. No guides. You are literally watching me try to decipher every symbol along the way and how it is tied to the other media.
*You are 100% wrong in your assessment. If you really were here watching over the last two years, you would know that everything you're presenting is exactly the opposite of everything I stand for on this channel and in my community.*
Okay so now you've edited your initial comment so I feel the need to add to my thoughts as well. You can stand by all your words above, that's fine. But know that they are wrong. Period. Send me ALL the old school BTS fans. Bring em all in. What they will see here is a community that loves those 7 guys wholeheartedly and supports them. If you actually had me on speed dial, as you said, you would know that I don't have a Fake Love reaction prior to this one... So your memory does in fact lie to you.
I will also stand by the fact that I am disappointed in how you addressed all this. ARMY should be looking out for one another and when you find a fellow ARMY who is sincere, honest, and stands for what BTS does, you embrace them. If you walk around the world with your crown of nobility on, it's going to hurt your cause more than help it.
Additionally, I am going to pin this comment because I want people to see how we should *_not_* be acting towards one another.

1) Since I've been here since your first Beat Saber BTS "performances" 😂 I can attest to all of your statements being true.
2) About Kookie and J-Hope's dancing.... There are very specific titled positions within a K-pop group (lead, main,....). Words that we in the West often use as interchangeable but in K-pop, they're not. OP is wrongly assuming that everyone knows that. Personally I feel that BTS, other than having a leader and 3 lines (rap/vocal/dance), have moved way past those position titles.
3) Thank you for pinning the comment. It makes for a good discussion and point. Although I'm truly grateful to OG ARMYs for getting the guys to where I was able to find them in 2020, all this divisive talk of "OG ARMY" vs "old ARMY" vs "baby ARMY" is literally the opposite of what I perceive to be one of the core values of BTS and ARMY, namely unity. 💜
4) This one is for OP: If you want to make accusations, please do your due diligence and check up on the facts first. A few preemptive clicks can go a long way to clear up misunderstandings. 😊

The room JHope is in is all carnival themed. Remember when his mother left him at the carnival , gave him a candy bar (snickers?) and abandoned him. I really think that room is his mind, his memories, he cant get out, hes trapped. In the extended version we see just Jhopes fingers sinking in the pile of candy bars, hes drowning.
They were not frames but cell phones....representing his not being able to get a hold of RM (remember the phone booth with the chains around it). Jimin is associated with water, Yoongi with fire, J-Hope snickers as was explained below, and it was JK on the other side of the mirror when RM was looking at himself, Jin starts over in his story line every time glass shatters.(hint hint) and V seems to be having real life dreams (seer??). Just a few things to peak your journey without giving to much away.

I think the the snickers are Hobi's trauma and memory of his mother! In the BU the we see a child abandoned by his mother in a theme park infront of carousel. Before she leaves she puts something on a ledge beside the child , it looks like a chocolate! I believe the child is Hoby.
The story line for jhope is being abandon by his mother.she left him at a fair with a Stickers bar
I absolutely love your interpretation of the sand turning into flower petals in JK's hands as being our power to take control of our time to create something beautiful 💜 I never thought of it that way but it makes so much sense, both in relation to the BU, as well as in life. Thanks for that powerful reminder. It came at the perfect time for me 🥰💜
I'm enjoying your BU journey so much! I've watched or read theories of the story and know the general character arc, but Jungkook's part has always felt more opaque. His character breaks the fourth wall and makes eye contact with the audience more than once in the BU, so I assume this is intentional and an integral part of his character..
My interpretation is that his character is prescient--that is, he has the ability to "see" an infinite number of outcomes with regard to not only each member of the group, but also the dynamic of the group itself in each "reincarnation". Over the course of several BU teasers and mv's, we see Jungkook having nightmares or experiencing sudden disjointed flashes of the other members or shifts in time periods and places. There are times he seems terrified, confused, lonely or simply exhausted and ready to accept his fate. It's like he knows what's coming and plays his part in each iteration, but he's stuck as an observer, subjected to each member's individual pain without the ability to change anything.
In every new scenario Jungkook interacts in some way with each member, but he also watches them suffer from a different vantage point. For instance, In Fake Love he "mirrors" JHope's sadness, peers down through another floor at Jimin as Jimin looks up, and runs down a collapsing hallway (tunnel) that becomes a dead end, stuck on the floor which is just above Taehyung. Both the flowing water and the sand slipping through his fingers could be metaphors for time/infinity, and the blossoms floating into his vision may signify multiple timelines or multiverses. The waterfall door cracking open implies that a new scenario is beginning, but JK's expression makes it unclear whether he's surprised at seeing the doorway or knows exactly what is coming.
Some aspect of each character's life twists into tragedy in every new iteration, and while Jin's character seems to be aware and actively trying to change the outcome, he unwittingly becomes the butterfly effect that ultimately, though accidently, births a new tragedy. Which then opens another timeline where Jungkook can "see" what's coming but can't avert it, and Jin remembers the past but can never fix it. This is where I think Jin's and Jungkook's characters are intertwined. They seem to be the only ones that are aware of these loops in time--but not necessarily aware of each other's role.
At the end of the Fake Love extended version there's yet another twist as JK peers through the keyhole opening and enters the coat rack room, donning the last robe and mask and taking his place with the other faceless players--assumingly awaiting the next turn of the wheel.
Geez, no idea whether any of this actually makes any sense. Body language and vocal inflection is soooo much more helpful when trying to discuss the BU, lol. Give me subtle inference and I'll happily overthink it into the deepest wordy rabbit hole....yikes...😜
Honestly, Fake love to me is one of the most important one of their videos. Over the years, you find out a bunch of stuff the group has gone through as well as individually and I personally feel like this video shows it, even just a little. Its very well done and I feel closer to each of them.

Hobi once said in an interview that he believes it was fate for the 7 members to have found each other and become a band/family.
I personally believe the 7 members knew each other before this lifetime (and maybe were always together over many lifetimes) and made a pact to find each other in this lifetime, no matter how long it took. And they did. They are 7 notes of the same spirit and universal harmony.
they literally each brought something to each other member that they did not have, meaning; only together could they have become so totally amazing, brave, determined, strong & so complete, as they now are. Some things happen with some unseen forces influencing matters and I'm not sure if it's outer guides helping or if it's our own innate energy that has the power to draw others into our lives that have what we most need to learn, and what they most have to give; like a kind of ever flowing synergy, an exchange of energies that can be so perfect that we just can sense it was meant to happen.

RM stated when WINGS came out ,you had to listen from the first song to the last one. The whole album tells a story,each song, represents what each singer went through at that certain time. You can see a continuing story as the album continues to the end. I have my own options about what I think is going on at that time,but I will keep them to myself for now. Our guys went through so much to get where they are. Their military service is what they need right now,it gets their minds off, practice, rehearsals, traveling,even though they love their fans,they pushed themselves almost to far. Hobi said in his last vlive,going into the military is like a vacation,and he's proved right. Our guys are all doing great! So looking forward to 2025 reunion.
True, their stint in the military is time away from the pressures of the industry and they can come back refreshed and with that maturity from having different responsibilities and challenges, not least the added physical fitness.

Re: Hobi and the Snickers bars - if we go back to the start of the video and the concept of the Magic Shop, Hobi is confined in the room with fairground ride stuff and then gets Snickers bars through the slot. The fairground and the Snickers bar are the significant elements of his abandonment trauma. Funny you said that about Jin losing control, the room imploding around him and him being unable to protect the flower seems to bear it out. Btw, I think it was a terrarium rather than an hour glass because of the shape and given it contained a flower. Enjoyed the whole video and thanks for pointing out so many things I missed from previous viewings on my own, e.g., the Save Me on the wall. I have also previously watched the video as the visual for the song's message, rather than its BU connection.
Omg!!! I've seen this video so many times and just realized that if you flip the video upside down when Taehyung is standing in front of Save Me, it says I'm Fine. Also, I read someone's comment before that said the lyrics from the song "I'm Fine" are mirror imaged but flipped upside down from the song "Save Me". 😮😮

I love the chorus of the song, Jimin's and Jin's voices intertwine perfectly and it sounds very beautiful.
I'm a bit surprised that you didn't pay more attention to the sets, especially once you realized that Namjoon's was made of storage containers. There are significant connections to their BU stories in each of their sets.
Also, the set dressing is part of what establishes this MV + the Smeraldo short films as a sort of fulcrum point between the Wings-era chapters of the BU & the story going forward.
Personally I LOVE Andes mints, thankyouverymuch 😂❤ But yeah the guitar one is the "rockin" version, and Fake Love is one of those songs that hits you to your core. I remember feeling the way the lyrics describe and it really hit me before I even knew the translation. I could feel the emotion in their voices and their choreo for this is amazing and seamless.
I think you're far enough along in your journey that you already know the answer - but for everyone else watching - what you missed in the Smeraldo episode was that when j-hope's mom abandoned him at the amusement park, she let him with a snickers bar. In my opinion, the snickers represents his fear of abandonment (which he traded in the teaser for the cake, which was given to him by his friend in the video you watched in the Smeraldo episode too.)
I always took the hoops in Joonie's container scenes to be the same kind of hoops that hang down on public transport for people who are standing to grab onto when the bus/train is in motion. I'm not sure why I thought that though - maybe because we've seen Joonie take the bus before.
I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure there was a video for the lore for this where he saw this girl on the bus every day but never got a chance to talk to her? Which is why he got a hair tie in the teaser, too - he bought her one to try and find an excuse to talk to her, and yet he still never did get a chance to. Again, could be remembering completely wrong, but still
Joon’s room has what looks like rings or hoops. Perhaps, this symbolizes the hoops that he had to jump through during this fake love relationship. I mean he changed for it, so….
Also, all four elements are present: air=windows blow out; fire= room; water= the flowing water; and finally, Earth is sand and possibly time.

This was released before the Webtoon which eventually proved a popular fan theory right about Jin travelling through time and trying so hard to hold on to the hope that he can fix things. But first everything he fixes, something else goes bad

I absolutely love this video and this may have been pointed out but with the candy bar scenes they are all “snickers” possibly symbolic of snickering like laughing behind your back or judgement in a way which is why he curls into a “fetal position “ as if guarding or trying to survive. Just a thought. But that’s just how it reads to me. #bts such moving ideas!

I thought the whole scene with the all the candy aka snickers bars was a reference to how they couldn't have certain foods because they were so poor at one time and then again for their diets and they were craving those things they couldn't have. This is what I thought when I saw it for the first time, I'm not saying its canon.
You will get more confused when you react to the whole album😂
To me its 1 of 2 things. Either its similar to Love Bombing (song being the love bomber, not the victim At First) until you loose control of who you are/ not recognizing yourself OR its at first loving someone enough to completely change who you actually are to make your lover happier until it sickens you, and make you stop loving them anymore resulting in Fake Love at that point. While in both options you no longer can voice yourself, how you feel mentally or what you think, staying silent. Idk might be 100% wrong and just what I see with the lyrics I relate to, ive had rough similar relationships lol/sad

Roscoe, would love you to react at some point to their performance of it at the 2018 MMAs (Melon Music Awards) - but make sure you watch the one marked FULL performance, as it inc the fantastic Intro, which I'm sure you'd love & gives me goosebumps every time I watch it, and the Outro, which is a whoa! moment! 😃If you want you can carry on & watch Airplane Pt 2 & then the amazing , and a bit bonkers, version of Idol, featuring lots of traditional Korean elements - from the intro flashes of the colours of the flag, to the musicians and hanboks and Jimin's fandance wihich earned him a cultural award - I've read that it was maybe their response to critcisms from certain quarters that they were getting too Westernised. Not knowing - and luckily you had mentioned it in this video - that you had done BU 12 with Kookie's Euphoria. Sigh. And I had quite forgotten which BU episode I had last watched before I went away. Anyway, I have your BU 12 reaction in line next - so I shall be watching that and you will be hearing from me. Might have to watch that another day, though, but I will. I am just shocked at the fact that you had never watched this video before. BU aside, this is a major video that they are known for. When anybody says BTS mvs, the first thing anyone thinks of is, Fake Love, Blood Swear &Tears, and Mic Drop. I am wondering now, what else have you missed???
Well it wasn't that I missed it, I stayed away from it. I was told early on that certain videos were BU-related and it should all be watched in order- and that's what I wanted to do. So I stayed away from it deliberately so I could finally see it within the context of where it belonged in the story. Same reason I haven't seen Film Out yet.

@14;36........."I grew a flower that can't be bloomed in a dream that can't come true". So......as a true ARMY. There is a 'story line' ....which 'Old School Army'....created. Using many of BTS videos from 2013 to maybe 2023 or beyond? Army 'created a 'Story'. A narrative. Using MANY of BTS vids incorporating many of their 'them'.........to 'tell a 'Fictional' Story'. It is deep. Profound. As a 56 yr old West Indian Mom.......I am hard as Nails. That shit...made me cry.
I cannot tell you: "Where to find it" to this day? Or how to even to 'Google it'. This happened (just before) when ARMY ( and I) were in the Depths of Despair. Covid hit. Destroyed our World.
A talented/beyond creative group of Army used 'Many of BTS old vids to create this Beautiful Story/Narrative.............and created a 'Story' that intertwines each BTS member and all their vids...to this day. Once heard? You will never see their vids from 2013 - to 2023. In the same light.
All I can say? BTS and BIG HIT (now Hybe) recognized 'Said Narrative/Story'.....as during Jin's story ( In BTS Guide - by Taylor Marie)...he played 'a huge main character' IN that story'. And recognized...appreciated it. So BTS ( trust me) co signed on 'That Story'....back then.
