I’d watch main vocalist jungkook by ida s for a better intro to him… most of his portion was about the other members taking care of him and left out that he’s the center of BTS… showed less vocal clips than they did for even jhope who is a sub vocal… showed on rap clip even though he’s the only vocalist who is a sub rapper, left out that he was the only lead dancer to debut with the two main dancer with no previous dance experience, and that he was recruited specifically because of his voice after they heard him audition for a tvshow… and the only person to be recruited for this reason. He’s one of the funniest members and one of the hardest workers. Ida s has a couple videos that do a much better job of showing you a bit of who and how he is …. And Taylor’s video doesn’t really show you much of who he is other than the baby brother that’s talented.. and mislabeled his positions. It’s a phenomenal video for every other member though,.. really a great source for the other 6!!!
Also I am not trying to hate on Taylor about this bc this is a HUGE task and she took a lot of feedback but with so many people coming to her with facts very passionately about every single member… it’s impossible to please everyone and I am not saying she did anything to intentionally downplay jungkook or his contributions … I could never do what she did and think it’s absolutely a labor of love and appreciate what she did.
I just see this happen a lot with BTS guide and not just this one… half of jungkooks intros are about other members taking care of him and the second half just says “he’s talented at everything” flashing so many things he’s doing back to back without context really hinder ppl from absorbing anything real about him… and ida s has so many special videos that show jungkook in the most real light that I’ve seen… and her main vocalist jungkook video opens a lot of peoples eyes to how much he does behind the scenes that get looked over or under appreciated bc he’s so incredibly humble… and to really get a better idea of an intro to jungkook… ida s main vocalist jungkook video is great bc it shows the other members and how they think of him in this role, producers they worked with and why he made an impression on them, examples of vocal breakdowns and background vocals, why he’s known as the king of adlibs and harmonies especially live… and how he still helps the vocalists record or live whenever they need it…. It’s just a good intro to him
yes, Jin learned to dance and sing after becoming a trainee at bighit and yes, he was scouted by bighit while getting off a bus on the way to school💜
Jin didn't grow up with a music background and had to learn how to sing and dance after he was recruited. I find his story the most inspiring because he is proof that it's never too late to start a new dream. He was already a student in university when he was recruited unlike most of the members who have had musical backgrounds since they were little kids.
- I recommend you also watch XCeleste's BTS Hardships 2013-2021 because it's a huge part of their story and goes a long way to explaining their close relationship with ARMY. These guys have truly paid their dues!
- RM is the only member of the original pre-debut group who chose to stay when Big Hit changed the concept from hip hop to idol group (though Supreme Boi stayed as an in-house producer). That's why he's the first member of BTS. The others were added over two years starting with Suga and J-Hope.
- Suga was poor and secretly worked a delivery job at night alongside being a trainee. While working he was in an accident that damaged his shoulder but because he couldn’t risc not debuting he continued through the excrutiating pain. He had to have surgery in 2020 because of it but the guys always included him with an empty space, mentioning him and/or bringing along his picture because "BTS is 7". The money was also why his parents initially strongly disapproved of his riscy carreer choice.
- J-Hope's dad didn't support his dream in the beginning either (he came around 😉) but his mother even took on higher paid work abroad to pay for his lessons. His older sister Jung Ji-woo is also famous in her own right, she's a well-known fashion designer and social media star.
- Yes, Jin was scouted right off the street but originally auditioned with Big Hit to be an actor. In fact he was also street-scouted by SM Entertainment a few years prior but declined the offer. He had no experience with neither singing nor dancing and learned from scratch at the age of 20. He's the only one to come from money and in the early days would sometimes supplement their fridge out of his own pocket.
- Suga also didn't audition to be an idol and neither did RM nor J-Hope. They originally auditioned as producer, rap artist and dancer respectively. In fact almost the entire group initially had other plans but I don't want to spoil the second half of the video. 😉
- J-Hope once called it fated destiny that they came together and tbh I have to agree with him given the circumstances of each member. Tg Big Hit saw the potential in them as individuals and as a team. 💜

Bts currently has 787 awards, 67 daesangs, 2 Grammy nominations, making them most awarded group in the kpop and whole world now.
The fact that BTS went 3 years (2013,14,15) without any daesangs where all groups from Big3(Yg,Sm,Jyp) won atleast one or more daesangs was heartbreaking for them and us. I became army and stay both in 2018, I was an exol,sm stan before that, I knew about bts but actually thought them as a competitor of Exo,Bigbang… and never thought I would stan them now

yes u definitely have react to their live performances i highly recommend their full mma 2019 performance, alot of people who have watched it has said that is the "greatest live performance they've ever seen". these words not from me but from non fans who've never seen them live.

Let’s recommend her listening to the songs first before just going into the performances… I know everyone is excited but it can hinder their experience if not knowing at least most of the songs before something like that especially as epic as that performance… just a thought

To answer some questions or provide a bit more info,
Jin didn’t have any experience in music prior to signing with Big Hit. He originally wanted to be an actor. So he literally started from zero and worked hard to become a singer and dancer he is today. IIRC, He used to even stay up after practice or wake up very early to improve his dancing.
Another Jin fact is that despite what the guide shows, he’s actually part of the introvert line in the group. In a recent video of J-Hope’s listening party for his Jack in the Box album, Jin was mostly on his own in the room sipping his drink. But he makes friends pretty easily once he gets comfortable enough (best example is during one of the Bon Voyage trips when he befriended a bar owner just randomly).
The BTS Universe storyline is quite a huge rabbit hole tbh lol. XCeleste has a couple summery videos explaining and giving theories on the storyline. I myself dabbed a bit into it when I first started checking BTS out but ended up watching the summaries.
In general, K-pop idols are still expected to complete their education while promoting their music.
As you mentioned Stray Kids in the video, not sure if you know or not but Lee Know used to be one of BTS’ backup dancers during “FIRE”, “Not today”, and “Spring Day” eras. J-Hope even recognized him at some radio show that the groups happened to be at.

4:52 bighit obviously is also not perfect like no company is but bts members are in good hands and have expressed it multiple times, you do not have to have any worries about the company in 2022 for them

Jin,Jimin,V didn’t have any experience in singing before debut.
V,Jk,Jin took professional vocal training for almost 3 years, Jin took for 4 years.
Jimin however till now doesn’t have true professional vocal training maybe because he wants to keep his unique vocals , however he does practice hours with BTS and Jungkook as main vocalist helps him with proper techniques.
Jin has the biggest stable range in BTS and highest notes in BTS so far, C6,F6 notes.
Jungkook is known in industry to have one of the most stable vocals while dancing or sitting anytime anywhere.
V is known for his baritone soulful vocals
want to correct a little thing jungkook said recently in a 2020 interview that he doesnt get vocal training anymore because he wants to keep his own vocal color. i think many of the vocalists in bts have little training or less intense training due to them wanting to keep their unique tones. they have healthy techniques but nothing that will effect their unique tones. this is why many antis hate on them for not "singing properly " or "not sounding the way idols should sound" because in other labels many of the trainees are forced to get rid of their unique tones unless they have a very unique voice most are trained to have similar voices or atleast sing in similar ways etc. i dont know all the details of either ive just seen many vocal coaches criticize kpop companies for this as singers should be unique while keeping healthy habits. bts do a good job of staying unique and keeping healthy.
Okay so it was jungkook who said that he doesn't take professional lessons so that he can keep his unique vocals (Jimin, V and Jim have ALL had vocal training) Jungkook only had vocal training for like the the first few months of training but stopped because he felt like it was going to take away the "unique color" of his voice
None of the vocal line members sung before getting into BTS, Jungkook had the natural talent (he originally wanted to be a badminton player) but when he saw a performance by G-dragon he decided to audition for Bighit.
He said he wanted to focus more on dancing and that he didn't know he would become the Main Vocalist
And the highest notes in BTS songs are C6, F6 (Jin) & F5 (Jungkook)
And correct me if I'm wrong but I've heard vocal coaches say Jungkook has the biggest stable voice (In vocal analysis jungkook is in the #1 position and Jin a VERY close second, the only reason why Jin isn't first is because he does tend to strain a little bit whereas Jungkook is pretty much 98% stable)

as far as i knw jimin sit in the corner watching V and jk on vocal lessons , while jimin just learning by himself through his notes..
and as i remember jimin said his vocal trainor told him he improved alot .. means later on he got his own trainor..

jin and jimin's voice is the hardest cause this two have to change their notes as need ,when they have to stay in low and need to change to high this two always need to adjust their vocals.. and even V is so in deeper voice but can also goes high notes .. in jk even you hear him sing high but if you listen carefully its not really high note its just in midvoice. the beautiful is his voice ,i like his uniq voice but in talks about high notes ... no he dont do real high notes. ..
i more hear V's high notes than jk .. jk's just in mid and sometime in flat tone thats why his the most stable one as always.
@@whaTevero0o Okay tell you don't know what your talking about without telling me you don't know what your talking about, the top 3 highest high notes in a BTS song is held my Jin & Jungkook. Jin holds 2 positions for having the highest high note in a BTS song & Jk holds the other one, Jk does have a high voice, you do know a voice doesn't need to be freaking glass shattering type of high in order to mean you have a high voice right? Also the way some ppl like you think that hitting super high, high notes makes someone the better singer is dumb, Jungkooks voice is the most versatile because his ability to go high, stay in the middle & to go low. Also his voice is the most versatile because of the unique ability to be able to fit every genre. Please do your research before you speak to someone about vocals because then you just make yourself look dumb

Just enjoy the content... Don't allow anyone to tell you how to enjoy the groups you like. BTS is about you... not them. Follow your heart with them, as each song means something different to each listener. Each listener may need to hear a different song at a time they need it most... not just the storyline. Absolutely not! Not knowing their storylines doesn't make you a bad fan, you can enjoy whatever it is they put out. Like Namjoon said, if their music, their photos, their videos, any of what they put out could lessen your pain even just a little, it's enough!

There are explaination videos for theit music videos and songs without music videos. "DKDKTV", "xCeleste" and "bookish theories" are the channels you have to look for. one is explaining the korean meanings and culture things the other ones are explaining the storyline in the songs
Hi Jamie! I just discovered your channel and I'm very much enjoying your videos. Don't worry about the storyline 😅 It's very confusing and BTS made it extra hard for everyone because the storyline is not limited to their MVs. There are short films, VCRs, notes, webtoon, BTS game (yeah, that is a thing too) and the storyline is even connected to "demian" by hermann hesse and "map of the soul" by carl jung. So would have to check all of this out to fully understand the story in the Bts Universe. to be honest, I don't even know the full story so don't stress about it and just enjoy the content as it is 😃There are a few explanations and theories ,so if you'd want you could check them out in your own time.
It's funny to hear the members talk about j-hope as a dance leader. For instance they say that he notice all their mistakes and REMEMBERS them. So afterwards he'll come up and say "you made a mistake there, didn't you". So funny. They joke about how when they make a mistake on stage their eyes immediatly goes to j-hope because they know he'll notice. So funny

TMI: "Hitman Bang" Bang PD was a former JYP producer who was in charge of (2 am... a JYP legendary ballad group.)
Unfortunately due to the "Legendary Laundry" incident between JYP and Band PD... they parted seperate ways.
Jin was actually scouted in the street by another agency before BigHit, but he never followed it up because he thought it was a scam!
excellent choice for an Intro vid and lovely reaction 😊 Yeah, a lot of westerners don't realize that kpop got the stage makeup thing from western music culture. People like Michael Jackson, Prince, rock stars, etc. were all wearing stage makeup. South Korea popular music culture was influenced by the west. And like you said, pretty much everyone in any entertainment industry wears makeup if they have to be in front of cameras...I mean do people really think their skins are so flawless? Lol no, there's makeup. Johnny Depp wears eyeliner even on a regular basis, he likes the rock star look. Nobody calls them girls for wearing makeup, yet kpop idols are looked down upon for it? Don't understand lol.

Every member is a solo artist in their own right. Not only do they have solo's within BTS albums they have solo's of their own and albums of their own. Each member is now a Full Member of the South Korean Copyright Association which is hard to become a full member of. They are all Song Writers, Composers and Producers. That's because they have creative freedom unlike artists in the Kpop Industry.

I know I’m late! But what people don’t realize, is that all these titles of composer, songwriter, producer, etc., all the members have; they didn’t in the beginning! Only RM & Suga wrote songs early on - but between the members and BigHit, they’ve all acquired knowledge and skills in various areas of music. If you notice, when most singers stop singing; they’re career is essentially over, we rarely hear from them again , cuz they don’t have anything else to fall back on, cuz singing was all they did! But BigHit (Bang PD) has really set BTS up for long term success, whether they continue to sing or not! If at some point, heaven forbid, BTS decides to stop singing as artists, they all have the skills and ability to work & continue to be successful in other ways!
Bang PD also made all the members shareholders in HYBE (BigHit) & people don’t realize the enormous authority they have now! HYBE don’t make decisions for BTS anymore…they do their job as an entertainment company & managing entity, but BTS decides! They even get to decide what companies they sponsor…(I looked it up) companies have to submit their portfolio, including their philanthropy efforts and how their company and brand makes positive change in the world & their communities & BTS gets to decide who they select!
That’s why, even though BigHit is now HYBE and they have branched in other directions, I support the company that supports BTS; because they have shown time and time again, they are for them!!

Haha not everyone's a literature major. Storylines are hard to understand, even without the layers of symbolism.
if you are aware of the way labels treat idols, do you still support them in anything or is there things you don't want to help with? i have heard blinks complain about YG but they still support blindly. idk i feel like people forget once they love the group so people choose to become blind. after getting to know how the industry works in korea i really don't want to look at other bands. for me i am very much against it. BTS still has a lot of things they can´t do but still they have freedom to create and choose what they want to do and not to. i could not support another kpop band no matter how much i loved their music.
i also have zero interest in the storyline especially after realizing that the artists themselves have no idea what the storytellers are trying to say

I see this guide being used a lot for reactions, however it is my opinion after watching it a number of times that the content is too biased for V and does not show enough substance for Jungkook and Jin. There are much better intros or guides to BTS members.
