    This young man is a great player. With my firstt wage of eight shillings, and six pence, 73 years ago, I used the sixpence to buy A Hohner Sunny boy mouth organ, as we called them then, now they are posh Harmonicas, or Harps, with prices to match. Anyway, I taught myself to play basic music by ear, shortly afterwards I bought a penny whistle, on which I did likewise. In short I knew nothing about chords, and bass, still don,t, the point is, that this fine box player, on the final reel he was very sparing with his left hand, and his reel still sounded great. So there,s still hope for me.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

    Hi Conor. I was just wondering if I could ask you a question. I've been using a small little hohner box for a quite a while now, but my accordion tutor insists I upgrade. Do you recommend the Paolo Soprani or the Salterelle? I'm just starting out with the bass side, but I should have the bass perfect by the time I get the money to get a better box. I'm just looking for a second approval. Cheers.

  • @HumbuStudio
    @HumbuStudio Před 9 lety +2

    Rosie Nolan Your Daddy may be really good... anyway, when you say you expected "better", it's only on mechanical skills comparison, which is the only quantifiable thing in music. The other thing is sentiment, and this guy hasn't got a lack of it. Sure you don't play the box anyway ^^ or if you do maybe your ego has grown a bit too much =)

    • @jasontyler4119
      @jasontyler4119 Před 8 lety +1

      +343Arbre Exactly. There is nothing more annoying than ego-driven "my Daddy/Son/Daughter is better" comments from non-musicians. It's about conveying the music well. Nobody cares too much about differences in technical ability outside of this.
