Be Thou My Vision (Slane) / The Millhouse / Sporting Paddy / Homage to Rooney Paddy Callaghan, button accordion Adam Brown, guitar Danny Boyle, flute and whistle Eamonn Nugent, bodhran I always come back to this track since first hearing it more than 9yrs ago. Thank you for uploading this!
I’m from New York. This was a well used hymn ! I am Protestant affiliated with American Baptist church for reference. In my younger years I used to snooze at the organ playing stodgy hymns . Now , this rendition makes me feel comforted and spicy!
I would never have thought it possible.Paddy was with us in Syke near Bremen.A friendly musician, with whom you could talk very nice and who showed his skills on stage a super musician. My wife died of cancer in 2014 and every time I hear the beginning of this melody, the slow part, I have to cry. This music goes deep with me, and hits my feelings. Greetings to Paddy and his great music. ... and I like to cry to this music.
Greetings from a Swede who lived in Ireland in the 90s (Dublin), when people still visited the churches, and I remember hearing this heavenly hymn from the 6th or 8th century.

Whoever is mixing these performances is doing a terrific job. Every instrument fits perfectly and the bodhrán in particular sounds absolutely beautiful.
PATPAUL, what a fantastic accordion player best I have heard in along time, sweet as a bird, brillant bunch of musicians, fair play to ye lads,I was reared on trad music, and I dont care what anyone says there is nothing like a bit of trad and a few pints to rock the night.
Just a perfect balance of the old traditional and the new updated traditional , and all done by purist young talent. What more would one as for pure class and thanks .
Me and my wife had the great honour to play a session with these fine lads in Aarhus Denmark. Thanks Folks for the great session. It was an afternoon to be remembered.
