    1st jig is "Seanamach Tubestation" written by John Carthy - great version on Cathal Hayden's solo album
    Not sure of the 2nd
    3rd is "Feed the Ducks" written by Cork banjo player Kieran Leahy - on Liz Doherty's album Last Orders

    I keep asking people to identify the instrument by sound. no one has gotten it yet. It's amazing what the style of music will do to the sound of the instrument.

    Tenor banjo and Mandolin tuning are the same in Irish music though some like to tune up their G string to A. here hes just tuned all the strings a semitone sharper...

    Cillian, could you please tell me what tuning you are using here? I have just got a tenor banjo and tuned it to mandolin tuning but your tenor sounds like it is higher in tone. Are you using Tenor banjo tuning or mandolin tuning? Thanks in advance.

      @@RyanSavage_Banjo He's tuned up about a semitone - and the low string is tuned up to A. So essentially Bb-Eb-Bb-F

      I dunno bout you but this gets my feet stompin, the second song made me wish I was at a carnival/festival just so I could learn how to dance to it. He can play very good for a minor imo

    Ye very capable cillian is , but way overplayed ,,too much ornamentations, it’s falling to pieces, like we hear all these banjo players playing mad fast,, even comes across too rushed , and loads of blunders in there too, , anyway, that’s what I feel about it, we all defer to what’s sweet to our ears, but it’s not for me, ,,😔
