- Welcome back to PART 2 of our SIMPSON DESERT CROSSING! In this weeks episode we continue our trek through the desert, get BOGGED and try and diagnose a PROBLEM with the truck! PLUS something you DONT WANT happen in the DESERT happens to us!

There's lots of big adventure trucks around so it's good to see someone actually using theirs. I find for a lot of people doing these adventures, the biggest thing that hold people back is the stress of what if something goes wrong. So, like I've said to others that do what you're doing, keep it in the back of your mind, if ever the poop really hits the fan, no matter where you are in the country, no matter how bad the situation, you can count on me to recover you. Not because I drive a UNIMOG, but because of what I can do. The Mog is just one tool.

Lol. Also, 3 things I noticed - and this is in no way a criticism - I reckon you could have dumped another 10 - 15 psi espically on those dunes near Popples.
Max trax do a sand skid for trailer jockey wheels
And please for the love of - insert name of chosen deities - don't get that close to an under load winch rope. If something fails, you don't want to be anywhere near it mate.

Amazing! So, good thing the beer was safe, especially on Father's Day. Nothing better than breakfast made by the boys with a hint of sand. Mechanical things are only so good and you pushed the truck to the limits. I watched the Cartwrights attack a similar hill - took them 9 tries before getting up it. What an adventure! Great video and travel safe.

Hi guys , if you can handle the weight of a small plastic drum with a screw on top or band clamp top as you get dirty clothes start putting them in the drum of water add some bio degradable soap after a day of driving it will have cleaned the clothes pretty well . If you have more opportunity’s to get more water say from a water crossing you pump out the Dirty water before you get to the crossing hence the bio soap and pump in some clean water after a bit more driving your clothes will have rinsed fairly well ..I hope Ollie is ok .

From experience when living on Fraser Island no matter what you drive ute bus or truck tyre pressure is the key to all sand driving I have a NPS 4x4 and there amazing where they can go by lowering your tyre pressure cheers guys 👍🍻🇦🇺🚚

You should've let your tiers down more when thrashing up that dune. Plus even on a crawl those seats are moving way to much for comfort even little Ollie's. Definitely look at a better tie down system so you don't lose the kids toys!
Thanks for watching. Truck tyre pressures are a bit different to normal tyres we had them t around 20psi that is extreamly low for a truck (normally they sit at 100psi) and we have put all the tows in the canopy now 😂

Another great episode! Can I ask what you are using to record your audio? The dialogue is always so clear. After the Simpson, you guys need a rest from those flies LOL.
We sure do (: all we use is a media mod on our go pro (:
If you know your GP well and explain your remote touring plans, they may prescribe a first aide kit that included a range of antibiotics to treat stomach bugs and electrolytes etc. This can help take the stress out of health issues if your delayed in remote areas. Its good to see the kids building up their natural immunity!

@@elnick.adventures you’re welcome. I worked in Cambodia for a few years with my wife and three kids. We had a kit with all sorts of drugs and ointment for emergency. There were three types / stages of drugs to try for gastro to kill the bugs quickly and mitigate the risk of dehydration and fever. Hydrolyte was also good to have in the freezer. We used it more than a few times particularly with the kids
