How Raoh's tyranny ended families.

- I guess this is a follow up to "Yujiro Hanma's Worst Act Of Evil". This time I'll share Raoh's most evil moment as a manly tyrant. Raoh is 1980's Shonen Jump villain from Fist Of The North Star and Kenshiro's eldest brother. During his early appearances in the manga, Raoh's is a very malevolent conqueror which perfectly builds up his debut against the heroes of the North Star & the South Star.

Raoh: I want my family to be strong! If your not strong, you ain't family!
Ken: What about Grandma?
Raoh: She's more powerful than you know...
Narrator: This Hag is Immortal! She’s Look like a Young Tomboy, But She Got Grandson!
The true successor of Hokuto Shinken...! Grandmashiro!
What about your mom Raoh...
Dekai Babaa
Is Raoh's last name Diesel?
despite everything he's done,
he has remained my all time favorite character in anime/manga history
and has made a huge impact on my life like starting my martial art career and adopting his name to even cosplay.
I love watching your videos on the conqueror of the century's end
please keep up more hokuto no ken vids
He definitely remains one of my favorites from the HNK series, too. Thank you for watching. I have a few more Hokuto themed videos in the works but they're still short & I need to make time for a big one.
Jesus is kenshiro be like Jesus!
Idk dude he killed infants and children. He’s a cool character but man he’s a vile human being.
That's some Violence Jack level villainy and brutality right there! I haven't seen much of north star but this was interesting to learn, good work!
Thank you. There's a lot more cruel scenes mainly in the beginning of the manga.
@@THEAnimeHERO 2:51This Targel look's a like like Amiba.
@@gundanout11 There's a striking resemblance.
Riki-Oh had a couple of prisons too, and in one of them, were forced to fight for their survival.
@@hitkid2456 I remember some of that from the crazy live action film
Raoh ruled with a brutal tyranny few could stand up too. Wonder if Toei was so intimidated by this he had to be changed into another character in the original anime?
I will need to check how ahead the manga was in the anime for them to make that change. Or like in previous episodes the content had to be toned down for tv.
He still at least beat that elder chief at least to an inch of his life, and Ken would never condone that insanity.
Raoh is the prime example of why tyranny during the apocalypse might work.
🤔 You mean how it could happen for real if there was someone that powerful?
@@THEAnimeHERO Raoh would have tried the same in pre-apocalyptic world if Ryuken was not there to stop him
This is why modern anime villains and even cartoon villains suck quite a bit it because they lack that sense of evil, fear, and world terror and threat villains of the past were known for and someone like Raoh is proof of that.
I'm out of touch when it comes to modern cartoon villainy but I can say that villains in 3d animated movies haven't stood out to me.
Good video,Raoh was a great antagonist for Kenshiro, the creators liked him so much that Kaioh is Raoh two basically.
Kaioh is such an oddity but feels appropriate for final boss. I just wish he was Raoh's dad instead of his older brother.
@@THEAnimeHERO Yeah wish they would have done, also the guy who trained Kaioh also looked like Raoh as well ,it that is what I thought when I first saw Hokuto no Ken 2.
@@Chaosic Their Hokuto Ryuken master is named Jukei. He appears briefly as a kid in Fist Of The Blue Sky mourning for his dead sister.
@@THEAnimeHERO He does huh I did not know that, thanks dude and your knowledge of north star is impressive man. You are Hokuto no Ken Guru.
Even for shohen jump standards this is very brutal seriously he makes freeza look like a joke Raoh pumps everyone in fear due to his brutal methods to his victims.
Frieza still committed a good chunk of genocide which also involved children. The only Namekians Freiza & his empire weren't able to kill were Guru, Nail, Piccolo & the ones killed by a rogue Vegeta. And there's the whole Planet Vegeta explosion. What Ken-Oh & Souther have over Frieza is enslavement.
Sometimes the changes Toei made were actually good, and I think this is one of those times. It gave Uighur more to do and made him more threatening. Some of the other good changes they made were making it so Ryuga didn't kill all those innocent people, and having Solia kill the old man instead of Falco.
I think Uighur did enough in his appearance in the anime when he showed up with the slaves carrying him. Knocking down Ken also solidified that.
I really appreciate your HnK videos. It’s truly a struggle waiting every 3 months for the official hardcopies even though I’m far ahead in the anime lol.
Thank you. It's going to be a slow process but Vol 1 has gone out of stock. So I hope this means it's selling well.
Awesome video!
Thank you.💪
Great Video Manly Hero. I’m not a fan of Hokuto no Ken 2 trying to naively redeem this monster either. It’s funny watching the lack of self awareness from the manga and anime creators destroy a story. Kenshiro FTW. Savior at the end of the Century!
Part 2 is what started that romanticism but things got carried away with the birth of Ryu & The Legends Of The True Savior which led to the Raoh Gaiden/Legends Of The Dark King.
Great video! For some reason i had completely forgotten those details about cassandra, but i always rememberd clearly what raoh goons did in mamiya's village in order to conquer it
Thank you. It's definitely something that seems to be nearly forgotten as no one brings it up in later parts of the manga/anime. A funny thing is Mamiya's Village gets attacked so many times.
Raoh ruthless cruelty villain in Fist of the North Star history, even though he only little bit care about Toki, and also he was based on Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's the king of fist
Supposedly, he's not based on Schwarzenegger but I don't know who he's really based on.
@@THEAnimeHERO arnold schwarzenegger + rutger hauer
Good lord Raoh is just just....good lord this man is pure evil, sinister, and twisted on so many levels, I could definitely see him hanging around with the likes of Orochimaru, Naraku, Griffith, Donquixote Doflamingo, and Medusa from Soul Eater. Hell if there was an anime Legion of Doom I think the position of leadership would be tied between the likes of Raoh, Makoto Shishio, Sosuke Aizen, and Madara Uchiha. This man really has no sympathy its frightening how he is.
kaioh: hello
I mean one of his famous quotes is "I have no regrets!!!"
Raoh: Sadness is For The Weak, The Weak Shall Die, and The Strong Will Rule! So Suck it Up, and Let My Heart Be Harden!
Survival Of The Fittest.
kenshiro: musou tensei
raoh: Ah shit
This isn't a problem with just Raoh; the series is full of villains that did a lot of bad things, but expect us to feel sympathy for them when they show a little humanity.
Like Shin; he's the first mayor villian, and the story still expect us to feel bad for him because the women he kidnapped chose suicide over being with him.
The one that bothered me was Zhang Tai-Yan a villain from Fist Of The Blue Sky. Zhang was specifically kidnapping men's wives. He didn't really get a convincing argument for Kasumi Kenshiro or the audience to empathize with him.
@@THEAnimeHERO Zhang Tai Yan is an illogical complex. He blamed his master Da Yan because her mother suicide and yet he kidnapped wives and killed Guise's sister
@@nastypasty1037souten no ken is an illogical mess to tell the truth
The next Fist of the North Star character to talk about is Shachi.
Brutal.
Supremely brutal.
Expected you to talk about how Raiga and Fuuga's younger brother was killed in the anime, or when Raoh ordered Baran to kill a small sickly child, but i guess you were focusing on this one specific event.
The stuff involving the youngest sibling is so weird. Usually it's the other way around when someone lives instead of dying in the anime. And then toei makes a "Not The Brother" character I had to look up Baran because I can't recall anything from the end of the manga. I do remember Raoh would constantly be name dropped & shown in flashbacks due to Ryu. The focus was mainly chapter 60 which got spread out a bit with surrounding characters involving Cassandra.
big fan of this series so far. I learned something new about Raoh today. Are you a fan of the original gundam series and zeta?
I can't say yes because I haven't watched Gundam. Sorry.
I also wish the anime focused on the inhumanity of the Brothers more to better emphasize Kenshiros attitude. I did like how the anime artists changed the art style every episode. The anime adaptations have their strengths but I wish they had more pathos.
I think the 1984 anime did pretty well in both expressing tragedy & the cruelty of Raoh & Jagi when compared to Kenshiro & Toki's heroic natures. The problem I have is stuff from the Shin arc which doesn't have that same grit as the manga.
@@THEAnimeHERO I agree the anime is actually very good. The anime had a lot of censorship but still is a lot more brutal than what’s coming out today LOL
savage
Tyrannical.
Jesus. No wonder anime cut it out. :o
Brutal stuff but the anime cuts out a lot of death scenes from the beginning of the manga.
epic
Epically evil.
Raoh gaiden anime did have lots of differences from manga version
such as Toki going mad after bandits attack the village of miracles(in manga Amiba made this story to fool kenshiro)
Wonder what Kaioh was doing to Shura in the meanwhile?
Kaioh was likely doing something similar. He was forcing kids to take the Shura path. I guess the idea was for them to mature into warriors and obtain names like the adults. And I'm assuming these kids didn't want to be warriors to begin with, since a lot of non-warrior people apparently live in Ashura. Maybe Kaioh started the whole Ashura thing? We know for sure Kaiser was in charge of the Nameless Ashura death bouts and gave Alf/Alph his name and promised to give a woman to him.
where is your manly anime character video of yujiro dude? was it taken down?
Yes. I had to remove it. Recently there's been claims for the 2000's Baki The Grappler series. I believe it got blocked in some areas. I plan to re-edit the footage and reupload it.
This makes Frieza or Cell a manly villain who wishes to conquer the world by mass murder.
Well Frieza did commit genocide but then the Dragon Balls brought back most of the dead Namekians. Meanwhile in Super, Frieza's reign of terror continues.
Raoh is Bukele,Trump and president Miley
So why does Kenshiro still feel any good will towards Raoh in the end? Hell in the 80s anime he forgives him despite all the shit he did.
I think that's why it was removed. There is no mention of this scene again in the manga. Or it is one of those "Buronson & Hara forgot" moments. Even without his tyranny scene, Raoh still killed a lot of good guys such as Rei, Juza, Toki & Ryuga the majority of the Five Chariots & whoever Ulghier killed. Not to mention whatever his army does when they conquer lands. If I had to guess, Raoh started being re-wrtten as a romanticized villain the moment we had that Toki Vs Raoh storyline as that reveals they're blood related. Maybe sending Ryuga to kill Toki was more of a proxy stand in so he won't get his hands dirty. Then by the very end when he couldn't bring himself to kill Yuria. And then by Part 2, Raoh is written a completely different guy and more of a tragic villain. More so in the 2000's animated films and Legends Of The Dark King.
Yet he said he had no regrets lol
None whatsoever, I guess.
@@THEAnimeHERO probably because he realized the error of his ways and was sure he redeemed himself
@@THEAnimeHERO Damn...so I guess Kaioh is the saner brother because he had regrets and felt pain for the loss of his mother and the pain he inflicted on Hyoh.... If Kaioh learned regret that way, why didn't we let Raoh stay in Asura with Kaioh?
