Can I please as a question. I did a lot of cycling etc but got testical pain in the left side, a few days later it was in my entire genital area and I was taking electric shocks in my penis of all places with an ache. Can that be from the pelvic area ? Please reply as I'm in such pain and on amitriptyline. I have a herniated disc too. Thanks.

I was doing a relaxation technique and I could feel my pelvic pain shift and move around, that’s when I knew it was tension. Years of doctor visits, tests, ultrasounds ,anyone who has testicle, prostate , pelvic pain , it takes Time to relax all the layers to get real relief , always get checked to be safe. Basically it all started with stress in the mind then transferred to the body , you need to release stress in your mind and body with stretches and therapy

I have been chasing my tail for about 3.5 years. I’ve been to my family MD DO. Numerous urologists trying to resource the pain in my groin , right thigh , lower stomach, and rectal areas. While MRI’s and all testing have resulted in no evidence to my condition. Some days are good almost pain free while other days I can not navigate, and I have always been a go getter. I’ve always pushed through other issues until I am forced to action. I recently went to a large city urologist expecting the same outcome. He visited all of my past records. Then he told me about PFD. After seeing this video I must agree with him. This video is the best of many videos I have watched regarding this subject.

@@tommac21 I had to go through like 14 doctors then I went to the Cleveland clinic and they got me all situated in the first appointment, a lot of doctors only look for symptoms that fit in these boxes and if you don’t check those boxes they don’t know, all it took was a doctor to do an actual physical exam, all of which those 14 doctors didn’t do. Oh and I had a testicular torsion from it and was told by a doctor to take Metamucil and probiotics because I didn’t have a bowel movement for 18 days. Celium husk is the main ingredients in Metamucil and a main food source for bacteria that are in probiotics. Made me developed an overgrowth of bacteria in my small intestine and every time I’d eat carbs or sugar my SI would absorb the gas and make me feel drunk. No doctor believed I twisted my testical, no doctor believed me I had a bacteria overgrowth and had to beg for the test which came out positive, and I had to go to a different state to get diagnosed. basically doctors advice have ruined my life. Out of 28 doctors 3 helped and I’m only 30. So yea bro some people have to advocate for themselves and help themselves by researching because doctors won’t. Hey this chick gets it! This is who I expect when I go to the doctor, but always get the opposite. They tell you nothing, make you take a test to make sure it's not something super rare, stick you with a $3,000 bill and a prescription for Tylenol you can already get over the counter, and no clue what it is. And if you try a diff hospital the next day, they hit you with the same procedure because they too have to watch their own ass instead of just treating you. You end up perpetually in pain and extremely frustrated at the system.

This video nails it! I developed cpps/prostatitis symptoms literally overnight a year ago. Went thru the whole medical system, 6GPs, four urologists, two visits to surgical a&e over a three month period. Developed massive anxiety and stress as a result. Started seeing a neurophysiotherapist after suffering for 8 months with a massive array of symtoms all described here in this video, and many others too.. was also suffering from ten years of a bad lower back in tandem with ulcerative colitis... strangely enough both these problems mysteriously dissappeared for the first time in a decade shortly before the sudden onset of cpps. The method outlined above is thay being used by my physio and it is working! I am getting my life back and firmly believe that when the body is rebalanced I will be the best I have ever been. Cpps is a wake up call for you body to reailgn after years of muscle compensation. Waste no more of your short life and seek a physio with this approach 👍✌&❤

When I'm lying down straight or sitting, my lower back feels kinda wired LY numb and weak. And so do my legs they feel weak and sorta numb. Hello, im a 19 yo male and I experience this: Spasms in the ejeculatory muscle or near perineum, these spasms doesn't stop, these spasms are uncontrollable and doesn't stop, NEVER, there is a way to stop feeling the spasms (my body does it involuntarily) that is tensing some muscles to mitigate the spasms but the spasms are still there if I relax them, doesn't matter how much time passes. I've had these spasms 2 years and still have it, it affects my sleep, when I first had them it didn't but overtime it affected my sleep, I sleep 4 hours straight and then in the middle of the night I wake up and sleep again fast, but it affects me because I don't sleep as good as I was sleeping before. These spasms affects my sexual function, erectile function, ejeculate volume: I ejeculate a lot less (tiny drops) than I used to since the first day I had the spasms. It affects my personality and now I don't feel any emotions, nothing impresses me, im not the same person that I was, now I don't feel anything, or close to anything, I don't feel any emotion, I don't enjoy music anymore, listening music in a way it bothers me, It's just doesn't give me any emotions, back then I was totally fine and happy with music, but now something happened, music and everything doesn't do anything to me, i've lost joy to life and if I don't find any cure probably I will do some stupid thing because I just don't feel anything, I want the old me back, I was happy back then and also my energy levels where normal like 2 years ago.

My CRS sent me to a PFPT after my painful anal fissure finally healed, and left me with pelvic floor pain. The interesting thing is, I’m realizing that I’ve actually had pelvic floor dysfunction since my 20s, lifelong history of IBS and anxiety, urinary frequency and chronic muscle tension and clenching. I thought that the Fissure caused the PF pain, But I actually think that the pelvic floor dysfunction set the stage for the Fissure to happen in the first place… and then just perpetuated a vicious cycle. I’m really glad my CRS sent me to a PFPT when he saw the Fissure was mostly healed and I had new pain deeper inside (along with other symptoms, including the golf ball sensation) which he said was classic pelvic floor tightness/pain. It’s very slowly getting better with PT and stress reduction. Thank you for these videos, I am a 50-year-old guy with chronic pelvic floor dysfunction! But luckily I’m treating it properly and I know it’s nothing dangerous, just incredibly uncomfortable.

I'm a 29 year old male and I've been struggling with this for 8 years now. I do notice a HUGE (positive) difference when I stop working out, but thats something I can't go without either. I've tried every thing but it just keeps coming back or just stays where it is.
Things I notice that trigger this:
    -Sports (especially weightlifting)
    -bad posture
    -stress
    -gaming (too many tense moments)
    -too much sitting
I try to live with this shit now but every now and then I get this intense Ischias injury, even though I stretch at least three times a week.. The only thing that helps for me?.. Pelvic awareness. Otherwise nothing so far.. Not even two years pelvic floor specialist therapy in combination with a kegel device (36treatments a year). Live is doomed

@@johansitup it started suddenly 18 months ago. All the classic symptoms. 12 months ago i went to a posture physio and he identified weak hamstring on left. Weak side abs on the left and weak inner muscle on thigh. Building these up, which takes times, is gradually releiving me of the symptoms. 90% cured now plus I dont get back ache or sciatica like i use to. I can feel the pelvic floor instantly relax when all the right muscles are working. It is thid that your body needs to but you will need a physio to find out what part of your posture is incorrect. It does not happen straight away but a gradual straightening of your body to get it working how it is meant to. This is no mystery disease. It is your body screaming at you that it needs to change. Take control..... and working out definately makes it worse until your posture is correct. For example sit ups are a big NO. Weight lifting a big NO.

According to me most of it get it wrong and try to fo kegels which again shouldn't be done. Because the pain is actually due to overly tight pelvic floor muscles. And kegels are for tightening the muscles which in this case would make it worse. The thing which could provide some sort of relief according to my experience is Reverse Kegels. Because the muscles need to strech out and become loose to relieve the pain down there. And trust it has resolved my issues by 80% , and it has been only a week since I started reverse kegels. I think men should check it out. It is according to me more potent than stretches because stretches don't go the root of the problem in my opinion.

Had inguinal hernia surgery with mesh around 5 years ago, ever since then I’ve had all types of constant pelvic pain. Prostate pain, bladder pain, testicular pain, penis pain, feeling like you need to urinate to relieve pressure all the time, feeling like you’ve got a golf ball between your dick and your ass.
I’ve realised that down there is such a sensitive area that the smallest injury can cause a lot of issues. The best way I get through it is to try and move and keep yourself occupied as much as possible, get the blood flowing, sitting down for long periods of time especially watching tv is almost impossible, the worst thing you can do. Try and walk a few miles a day. It does relieve some of the discomfort.

When I'm lying down straight or sitting, my lower back feels kinda wired LY numb and weak. And so do my legs they feel weak and sorta numb. Nothing is wrong with my upper body it's just my lower body from my lower back to the insides of my groin. To my legs. What is wrong with me ? Is this something serious? It sorta happened overtime

Thank you for this video. And thank you for responding in the comments.
My issues started a year and a half ago.
    Random pelvic pain, usually stabbing.
Mostly in my public hair region. Sudden onset of frequent urination with burning. Went to the doctor because I thought UTI. Checked ok. Had pelvic ultrasound twice, and everything looked "normal".
    No hernia either.
Pain continued off and on. Sometimes worse than others.
8 months ago, after w pretty bad case of Covid my PSA # jumped. And jumped again 3 months later. Urologist thought it was a fluke. His examination showed a normal size and feel for my prostate.
Retested PSA 3 weeks later and PSA came back down.
Now I deal with random stabbing pelvic.l pain, urination stream is much weaker than before as well as ejaculation force.
Visited a pelvic floor therapist locally. Unfortunately they don't take my health care insurance and I can't afford $150 per visit so I stopped going.
I do some stretches but it doesn't seem to help sometimes painful.
    Please answer this part..
Is it normal to feel more pain after kegel type exercises?
It is really scary to me. I feel at a loss. I don't know what to think..
    Thank you!!!

I had prostatectomy surgery 9 weeks ago. Catheter removed 1 week after surgery. Started kegels shortly thereafter, and I believe they were a factor in the pelvic floor pain I've been dealing with for about 7 weeks now. Alongside the infection that wasn't discovered until 6 weeks after the surgery. Pain location varied from one day to the next. Anywhere from tip of penis to perineum to rectum that was much worse after sitting. Along with Strong urgency to pee even if I'd gone 10 minutes before. Antibiotics helped pain a Lot, a genuine discomfort now. My leave from my job has been extended twice now. Really concerned about going back to work as I'm a sit down forklift operator.

I have pain in my scrotum my bladder my anus my perineum my abdomen my hips my lower back my tail bone my sit bones pain around belly button and even pain down my inner thighs. Its horrible!!!! Had all the tests including cystoscopy and everything came up fine. Had antibiotics too but they didn't work. One urologist checked my prostate and said it was fine but the muscles around it were really really tight! Another urologist just said it's unfortunate but you seem to have developed none bacterial prostatitis chronic pelvic pain syndrome and there's nothing we can do about it because its poorly understood. Anti depressants help I take mirtazapine. Painful with bowel movement and hours after. Sometimes it feels like I have a cheese grater between my legs😞 all this happened after having a operation to remove a kidney stone. Never had any of this before the operation!!! Can't even sit down five minutes without having to get up because of the pain! Had this 10 months now and its debilitating! Really has ruined my quality of life! They are sending me for another ct scan this Wednesday. And yes it definitely feels like a golf ball and feels full down there.

After spinal fusion surgery, which had me hospitalized for over 3 weeks, I have had awful pain in my lower abdomen. I think it feels like a hernia. Its constant and never let's up. I never had this until my work accident in 2017. Now after seeing this video, I'm convinced that it is due to that accident. With as many tests (MRI'S CT scans etc) that I had at the time, I'm surprised nothing else showed up.

This video was so much more helpful than all the doctors/urologists I've been to. I myself found out with googleing I had cpps/prostatits when I was 17 in 2011, it got cured after a month of taking Cernitol. Got it back early 2019 and I've had pain since then, some days insane and cernitol didn't helpt at all this time. First doctor said I had hernia in my groin, second doctor (urologist) did ultrasound and said I had varicocele in my left test, I then had a surgery for varicocele 7 months later but it didn't help at all. Third doctor didn't have a clue either and sent me for a CT, CT showed nothing and he couldn't help my anymore and thought i was imagining (?????????) the pain. Fourth doctor actually wanted to help me and tried to send me to a rheumatologist. My mother got her rheumatoid arthritis in the same age as I am in now (27) so it sounded logical since I don't only have pelvic and scrotum pain but the rheumatic pain too like in the stomach, feet, legs and back. The rheumatologist wouldn't take me cause they needed more proof since the scans and blood work showed nothing. Welcome to the tragic health care of Sweden :)
Fifth doctor (urologist) said it most certainly is cpps/prostatits and he can't do anything concrete to help me, he then prescribed my 15 days of antiobiotics which I will start with today. Things feel hopeless at this point but I will keep trying. Right now I try to excercise as much as possible and stretch, use massage pistol and foam roller, it helps in the moment but hasn't in the long term for me.

Doctors and the specialists they refer you to just aren't equipped to deal with this kind of thing. I saw a specialist physio that was able to really help me with it. In a nutshell it's all about tension we hold in the body - the area around the pelvis is where we store a lot of trauma and tension. So learning about what might be causing it, getting physio treatment and also breathing exercises have helped me a lot. Good luck!

Not sure if I have this or not. I would like to come see you guys. Here is a little of my story. This has been going on for almost 4 years now.. had surgery on my left knee then a few months later i started having extreme pain in my left testicle. Went to about 8 different urologist with no answers. Found one and Went threw epiydidamal cyst and explorotory penile surgery were they cut my pens in half and deflanked me. They winded up removing an 8mm mass that they didn't know what it was. A few months later no change and the urologist said i had pfd. Went to see a physical therapist specialist and they told me they did not think I had it because my muscles were not tight in my anus. Still a few months later nothing changed. Went to gastro was diagnosed with crohns. A few months later still no change. Winded up going to a vascular doctor who stated I had pelvic congestion syndrome. From the pelvic congestion syndrome It caused may Thurner syndrome. My left gonadel vein is also completely blocked and diseased he is not sure why. Still deal with alot in my legs hips lower back testicles and my penis. Still have some small cysts in my eypididmal sack that cause pain. This has broken me completely down and made me lose my mind and I am still with no answers or help. My vascular doctor is at a wall and is not sure why my vein is so messed up. I have seen a varicocele in my testicles but he could not get threw to look inside. It is wild.

This had major impact on my quality of life. I went to the urologists and after performing transrectal exam, CT scan and MRI the uroligist sent me to physical therapy and the therapist assigned me to do various routines to release tension in my pelvic floor. The therapist performed physical exams. I was very hopeful but it did not help. I think the therapist did her best but I am hopeless at this point.

Thx for this video it’s awesome because not a lot of people talk about it for men! I have some questions it will be awesome if you can give me some answers! Do antibiotics come symptoms down and make u confused with the situation if u really have pelvic pain or something else? How long does the physical therapy takes to start working? And can pelvic pain syndrome cause burning in the urine and frequency as well? And does this problem have an end with the treatment or it’s pain for the rest of life? And what u been talking about is the same of prostatitis pelvic pain syndrome?

My urologist said that I might have a pelvic floor dysfunction and I can’t find a good physical therapist in Miami, FL that’s not a liar and a thief who can actually help me 😭😭😭 I have been struggling with this for over 3 years. I have a huge bulge on my lower stomach. I have no pain but I do have some discomfort around my lower right abdomen. The lining of my stomach is inflamed 😭😭
